All the NIN fans I know like them a lot! From what I've seen NIN fans have been pretty tolerant of opening acts from various genres and sounds, unless they outright suck. ACID EATER(intense japanese psych rock)
ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE(you could melt us into submission with some La Novia or Dark Stars before pummeling us with some NIN selections of your liking)

TR used an older yet awesome band in Bauhaus with the summer with_teeth shows, why not Portishead?
