[small]Searched, but didn't find anything on Doctor Who.

Who else loves this BBC masterpiece?!
I just recently discovered it and it is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen![/small]

50 years is a long time for any show to run. There's so many many episodes to catch up and it really is sad that some of the earlier episodes were recorded over (I think that's what happened) and are lost forever.

I'll admit that I have just been starting to get into this show over the past month, though it's mainly Old School Who while occasionally watching whatever David Tennant episode may be on the Watch channel. But with nearly 800 episodes and some spinoff shows like Torchwood and Sarah Jane, it's nearly impossible catch up! Not to mention all the missing episodes from the first two Doctors, especially the second!

That is just so COOL!!!! :)

Yes, the BBC certainly know how to charge for their dvds. :( Which is kind of sad, because we've all got 49 years of Doctor Who to catch up on and that can add up to quite a few dollars. And, sad to say, I believe some of the earlier episodes were taped over or destroyed by the BBC quite a long time ago, so it would be very very hard, if not impossible, to have a complete set of the series to date.

Our local ABC Channel 2 has been advertising the new season to start next Saturday!!!! YAY!!! Meanwhile, ABC Channel 22 has been replaying all the episodes from Christopher Eccleston onwards, which is really good!!! Temporarily interruppted at present because Channel 22 is now showing highlights of the Paralympics in that time slot.

ABC2 is still re-playing Doctor Who. Last night's episode was "School Reunion". It made me feel a bit sad because the late Elisabeth Sladen was in it. She looked almost the same as she did when Tom Baker was The Doctor.

YES! I remember that, it was around the time the "rebooted" who was starting, they played the classic episodes earlier in the evening. Which was great for me, cause obviously i'd never seen the Hartnell, Troughton or Pertwee (I did see reruns of Tom Baker's era growing up though! So the 4th has always been my favourite also)

^^Yes indeed, ABC2 for the win. :)

Remember a few years ago ABC1 was replaying Doctor Who from the beginning? I *cough* recorded the episodes *cough* and I think my favourite era would have to be the Tom Baker era, especially the Elisabeth Sladen episodes. RIP Sarah Jane Smith, the world is a little sadder for your loss.

& yes, season 4 was so good, but could be SO sad (& don't even get me started on Liz Sladen....I can't make it through series 2's "School reunion" anymore)
