Heart Shaped Box- Joe Hill

Thoroughly enjoyable book from the son of Stephen King. I've just ordered Horns and 20th Century Ghosts and I'll let you know how I get on :)

He's also doing a Q&A and signing session at my local Waterstones next week so I'm really excited...happy days!

Just finished reading "The Forbidden Garden". I quite enjoyed it and there was a nice, chilling little twist at the end.

Next book to read is an unofficial guide to The X Files.

I'm currently reading "The Forbidden Garden". It's about an old lady who kills her servant/companions, buries them and plants poplar trees over them, and takes all their money.

Finished reading "Demon Seed". It was a most interesting little book about power and control. I could feel the main character's frustration.

Finished reading the book about Beethoven. I don't get much time to read, that's why it takes me so long to get through books, which means that the little library I've accumulated over the years will keep me occupied for quite a long time.

Started reading Demon Seed. Have read only the first chapter so far.

"Me Talk Pretty One Day" was the first DS book I ever read and is still my fave. Read the first chapter in a bookstore and laughed so hard I started crying, in the bookstore. I saw him on tour a few years ago, great night.

Just finished Airframe my Michael Crichton a few days ago, and it was great. Who knew a book about investigating an "incident" with a plane that didn't actually result in a crash could be so fascinating?

I should have known. I mean, it was written my Mr. Crichton :D

I'm currently reading a book about Beethoven. It's written in a style I haven't come across before, where the author actually quotes passages from documents rather than citing those documents as a basis for his writing. (Does that make sense?) I'm enjoying it very much.

David Sedaris is one of my favorite writers! I've read all of his books, and I own all of his books EXCEPT Me Talk Pretty One Day. Dunno how that happened lol. But I've enjoyed his way of storytelling. Sometimes though, it seems he has a tendency to babble but I always love reading his writings.

Finished reading "The Temple Of My Familiar" by Alice Walker. It was a bit confusing at times and a bit hard to follow. I gave it to a local second-hand shop so someone else can have the pleasure of reading it.

Started re-reading "The Hobbit" by Prof JRR Tolkien. Believe it or not, but I've read it only once before. I have to read it now so that when the movie is released I can pick it to pieces. :)
