is there a nin xbox/ps main friends list?

i haven't seen it mentioned but i think it'd be cool if there were a list for nin.com gamers to hook up to play.

if there is one, tell me where it is.

if there isn't, anyone interested in one?

in case you don't know how it works: someone creates a bogus profile and those interested just join that profile's friend list. when you check the profile, you see who's online playing what.
There was a 100+ member list of NIN people who have given their steam/xbox/psn/wii contact info, but it quickly became too much to handle (there are 358,000+ registered NIN forum members). So, now, people just post in the "gamertag" thread or in the individual game threads saying "hey, anybody want to play some (insert game here) with me?" The gamer directory thread has links to all the individual games. And of course, there's a place for "contact info" under each person's profile that lists gaming info.

However, I think you're talking about a generic "NIN forum" gamertag or something on xbox live that you can put friends from here on? A lot of people do that with Call of Duty clans.

I think, what worked out best on the ETS forums (the non official NIN forum) is that a few of the guys/gals started a "gaming meet up thread" or "gaming night" for general purpose gaming nights. Like, somebody would post "I wanna play Halo 3 on Friday night, anybody in?" and things would go from there. I forgot exactly how they did it; they either did that or posted in the individual game threads (like we have here) and it worked out fairly well. The thing about the Tech forum here is that it seems like it goes through busy and dead spurts, so sometimes you might not get a response.

Anyways, there's my two cents. I'm too busy playing through mass effect 2 and dragon age right now to play much online, but when I do, I usually play Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2. I don't have my contact info in my profile right now, cause I have a lot of people I don't know on my friend's list, and I'm trying to get to know them a little before I add any more.

Of course, you could start a generic Xbox or PSN profile if you want, and just put the gamertag in this thread. You might get a few friend adds. It might work. Of course, you can always try over at ETS www.echoingthesound.org and see what those guys are up to. They're just as hardcore as the fans here, and I know that they do get organized gaming nights together every now and then.
