According to grungereport there will be a Porno For Pyros reunion this year.

Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell responded to a fan on Twitter who told him he wanted a Porno for Pyros reunion that the band have new tracks forthcoming. Guitarist Peter DiStefano claimed that the band would reunite in 2013 last year but Farrell shot the reports down, but it appears now that the reunion is happening. Porno for Pyros released two albums during their 6 year run in the 90?s: 1993?s Porno for Pyros and 1996?s Good God’s Urge. They’re best known for their radio hits Pets, Tahitian Moon, Cursed Female, and Hard Charger The band featured Perry Farrell on bass, Stephen Perkins on drums, Peter DiStefano in guitar, and Martyn LeNoble (later Mike Watt) on bass. They split in 1998 but performed a one off reunion set at Perry Farrell’s birthday party in 2009.

A fan asked Perry Farrell on Twitter asked about progress on Jane’s Addiction’s fifth studio album, Farrell responded by saying, “We’re getting together on Friday.” Farrell told GrungeReport.net two months ago, “There’s over 60 lyrically written and then there’s probably 38 recorded, but they were not Jane’s Addiction, they were mine, for the next project. The next project’s going to be a really interesting affair, never before done in history. It’s going to be immersive theater, like a musical or a play. I’m going to have Jane’s writing one record and then I’ve written another one that’s electronic. It’s theater, and in some cases, the scene takes place out in a place like Phuket or a region like that in a bar or a club, so you’d be listening to dance music. I’ve written that part of the show, which is the first half of it. In the second half of it, lyrically, I have many song melodies, but they haven’t been recorded or worked with Jane’s Addiction yet."

I missed out on seeing JA when they were last in the UK in 09. I was gutted I couldn't go :( and to think, I would have had the opportunity to see NIN too!

Anyway, I got a ticket today to see JA in London on 30th August! You have no idea how happy I am right now. I've been a fan of JA since early 2003, is has been a long time coming! SO FUCKING ECSTATIC RIGHT NOW!
