The Clean Thread (soaps and lotions sold here)

Im a nut about feeling clean. I just bought this olive body scrub from The Body Shop, and wow! My skin not only is super soft, but I smell clean. Bonus, it doesn't leave my skin feeling weird and oily. Ps salt soap is just as awesome. Talk soap, lotions, shampoo, scrubs, exfoliants. Go!

Soaps - don't use 'em. Makes my skn all tight and break out and its just gross.
Really I only use something (mostly bodywash) if needed like after getting oil and car stuff on me from helping my dad when hot water and scrubbing alone doesn't help. It's not always necessary. I do want to try salt soap though. I found a recipe to make some.

shampoo- is at the moment some rosemary/mint herbal stuff. Most of the time I always get Suave wild strawberry.

scrub/exfoliants - Make my own. I hate how my face burns after. Feels more painful when you put on lotion.

Lotions: currently Olay beaufy fluid. My grandma's been using that stuff since her teens and her skin is really nice for someone her age. She swears by that and Noxema. Although Noxema I'm not very fond of.

Ok...After years and years of trying many products, here are some that I think are really good.
Hand Lotions:
Camille Beckman-but I only like the scent Camille, which is getting hard to find.
L'Occitane-Rose scent, LOVE, love, love it. But IMO it's pricey, 20$ for 2.6oz. worth every penny. Also Cherry Blossom scent is yummy.

Other L'Occitane products that are good: For men, savon bois de cedre-cedarwood soap. OMG smells so good! They also have Eau de Parfum which are kinda unisex 4 different scents Voyage En Mediterranee line. Labdanum smells good and Mimosa pretty good too.
For Ladies- L'Occitane Pivoine Flora-Eau de parfum LOVE IT!

Facial Scrub: Clinique 7 day scrub cream. I also prefer Clinique make-up.

Hair:
I have almost abnormally thick long hair that was straight, but for some reason turned curly after having my son 17 years ago, and it's hard to control, depending on the weather eek. My sister is a stylist so I've tried hundreds of products in my lifetime, but the ones I can recommend would probably only be good for others with the same type of hair.

Shampoo: Matrix Biolage Ultra-Hydrating Shampoo plus Detangling Solution is my new fav.
Paul Mitchell Super-Charged Conditioner is great.
For when you get a build up of hair products on your hair (because conditioners can be like waxy) or if you swim alot it removes chlorine, use Matrix essentials Alternate Action Clarifying Shampoo- but don't use it often.

If you want to wear your hair curly or wavy and air dry but hate the feeling of hair product in your hair-Matrix Biolage Gelee, put some on, scrunch it, air dry, yay.

To straighten with flat iron, Biosilk Thermal Shield.

If you color hair, or any other chemical process use-Roux Porosity Control Corrector & Conditioner occasionally, it's smelly, but it works very well. But if you hair color don't use the porosity shampoo, fades color.

Baths? Neutrogena Body Oil Light Sesame, awesome

eewww, I feel the need to go shower now :)

Go!
