I've had an SR300 for a number of years. It has proven to be a solid bass. It's durable, playable, and has a decent sound for the money.

Honestly, you'll probably want to stay away from anything in the $100-$200 range. I know instruments are expensive, and there is significant risk involved when buying a first guitar, but those cheap instruments play like shit and they don't last. You don't need to go out and spend a few grand on a Gibson, but if you're serious about playing, you'll want at least some craftsmanship. I recommend a P-Bass or Jazz Bass for anyone starting out. Even if its a Squire but I would recommend the Fender if you can afford it. (Fender basses are not way too expensive second hand.)

Ibanez actually makes some good basses. I do not know too much about the models you posted though.

Personally I use several Epiphone Thunderbirds but I really would not recommend this as a starter bass. (Especially since your selections suggest you need a smaller bass for a smaller framed player.) If you are interested in them check them out in a music store first. These are heavier basses and awkward to hold so they are not for everyone. Agreed. I played a Warlock in a band before and it was pretty terrible lol. It does look kick ass though.

I don't know what your budget is but a few years back a friend of mine got this Squier pack and he loves the bass that it came with.
