it happened to be a space near to the place i used to live about 7 years in real life in hamburg, so it was all familiar somehow and filled with good memories (from the real life).

so i went there and introduced myself - without any experience of a waitress or whatsoever (in real life too), so actually i'm not sure about having any chances... but hoping - to see nin on a stage without beeing just an attending fan... and it would be a small stage - a small club, so chances actually to see something.


anyway, i can't say what it was after, but it was kind of party or concert, where my brother still was alive...

1. Mid to late 90's, I must have been 16-17, listening to |\|||/| for a few years at that point. My daily mantra would consist of coming home from school, fucking around with whatever for 3 hours, then sleeping for 5 hours (to almost always |\|||/| music) before waking up to fuck around some more and sleep again later to wake up late for the goddamned bus. One evening before my customary 5 hour coma, I decided that the album of choice would be 'the downward spiral'. So I popped that fucker into the cd player, had a sip of the coffee dear old mom had made not too long ago, and put my stupid face on the pillow. Within at least 5-10 minutes, sometime during piggy or heresy, I was out. Didn't take me too long obviously because those are the 2nd and 3rd songs. After that I was smooth sailing in la-la land. Then something happened that's fucking awesome when it actually DOES happen- a lucid dream. Only in this one, I was walking through a vast landscape of cavernous mountains and plateaus with lush greenery and beautiful wildlife. I was in awe. And as I looked up into the blue sky, it hummed a familiar tune- 'a warm place'. I then had realized that I was indeed dreaming in remembering i had put the album on and went to sleep in my own bed, so none of this was real, and decided to just go with it. That was a mistake. Because I went with it, I soon forgot it was a dream, and 'eraser' naturally faded in. The landscape began to change to an orange hue slowly, and the lush greenery began to die. The opening drum beats started to boom out of the sky through the clouds and I found myself walking through a vast desert and thought I was being followed, constantly looking over my shoulder. Sure enough, there was a tiny black figure getting closer, until I was essentially running faster and it was right behind me. Before the lyrics broke in, I tripped and fell down and when I turned around, the figure had a shredded hooded black robe, pale white arms and jumped on me trying to choke me to death. I woke up terrified and sweating, almost crying like a little puss. As Trent was singing "Need you....etc.," I went to go sip some coffee and calm down, when I realized my cup was empty. My mother then walked in with another cup of coffee. When I went to drink it, it was filled with sand. I look up, and it ain't mom. It's Mr. Evil Black Robe grabbing me by the neck on my bed and strangling me as Trent is screaming "KILL ME!!!...." over and over until I woke up for real this time and still had a full cup of coffee.
Synopsis:
A_I hadn't done any drugs on any level whatsoever during my teen years.
B_Trent Reznor and my imaginative subconscious decided to fuck me in the mouth and then shit on me.
C_That bitch had to have put something in my coffee.

Imagine my pants filled with shit when Closure came out sometime later and the live Eraser video took place in a desert.

So he wanted me to design him his new house interiors. And we were discussing a bit while looking at the house plans. The dining room where we were sititng was quite a mess, no wonder the guy needed designr's help! I mean he had all of that expensive stuff but all kinda stuffed up, messy and totally no taste in that :P It looked more like a laundry not a dinig room.
So I proposed some changes, espceially about the feng shui of the place and he didn't like it. I was like" what the hell you're inviting me and asking about the professional advice and now you reject it, because I treatfeng shui seriously?man I really wanna help you! just look at this place! wtf?".
I could see his wife doing something next to the kitechen place and my sister(!) was feeding their child. Well, she's the baby person from two of us... So I got an impression that Tren's wife is just kinda suspicious about me and him or maybe I was just paranoid. He was my friend in that dream and I've known him much longer than his wife.
So Trent didn't like my propositions of interior decorations and so the discussion stopped and I was irritated that he asked me especially and just rejected my first ideas :/
The only nice thing about that dream was an impression of how long I must have known Trent as he had such an easy manners next to me and I was feeling like I'm talking to a very very old friend. Like you know him so long you almost get bored with him, even if he's a rockstar and can walk in his underwear next to you and you just almost don't notice it.
So I was even more pissed off when he suddenly interrupted me! So it's some sort of game show (not the price is right) that bears a little resemblance to Wheel of Fortune. On the show is two ladies nobody has ever heard of and Trent is the third contestant. It comes to his turn and he has to finish a word with a set of given letters, and most of the word is already there, typcasted as R_nning (running).

So the host (who is English or something) tells him he has a G, an I, and H and a U. Trent looks down on his little podium which has scrabbe-esque letter squares on it. There's only a G, H and I though. He looks up and queitly says "There is no U."

The game show host continues to say "Solve Trent, hurry, you've got twenty seconds." while Trent says loudly "There is no U!" and the host says "Ten seconds. Hurry!", so Trent yells it again and again, eventually escalating into "THERE IS NO FUCKING U!!"

Then that was it. The dream ended, or just went black.
