Well you can add *Ahem* fantastic *cough* Belgium to your list as 60% of the population speak some kind of bastardized locally brewed dutch.

12/05/08 8:01 AM

Ooo!!

I've been to Belgium once for a few hours (coz I was working out there) - somewhere in Brussels, as I recall... then it was on to France where I REALLY wished I'd had one of those point-and-look-pathetically-foreign books!!

*thinks*

Blimey... that was a wee while ago!!

12/08/08 2:44 AM

As a follow-up -believe it or not- I went to Sister Ray music shop this w-e and the girl behind the desk noticed that I had a belgian bankcard and spoke to me in Dutch
:-))). So funny this happened after our little chat.

12/08/08 2:49 AM

Heh heh heh!!!

Ok, so Im not giving up hope on a Europe/UK tour even if it is for a few dates.

12/09/08 5:24 AM

a few dates would possibly be more intense than a full on tour over every big european city - as long as they dont play festivals ill be over the moon

12/09/08 6:20 AM

Id be happy with one London show. Really. As long as I have tickets, and everyone who wants to see them in the UK on these forums does also, Im pretty sure we'd be happy. Lulz.

NIN are rumoured for Pinkpop-Festival (Nethelands) 2009 which lasts from 30th may - 1st june

12/11/08 4:33 AM

Hey, you guys got YZ last year while everyone over hear in NA waited patiently! I hope for your sake that he does tour Europe. Maybe this will be a good excuse to finally travel across the pond...

12/11/08 6:53 AM

^^heh, not that many people waited patiently but I won't go into that again.

Seeing as they're always pissed off with the majority of EU festivals they do, they'd be silly to do tons of festivals again.

I was looking at the old tour dates, and something like the Fragility 1.0 dates would be nice. I didn't realise how irregular last year's dates were until I went back through the schedule - before that, we were lucky to get 3 weeks including festivals!

he does
and then he says "take it while it's hot" and after the crowd's mournful noise he says "that's it - for now. and then - you never know"

what did i say?
he does not like cold weather in europe.

12/14/08 9:58 AM

Great news but I'm not very happy!

12/14/08 10:25 AM

By the sound of things I don't think there are going to be any lights in the sky over europe sad smiley but I am very excited about what he said in Vegas, deconstructing everything should be very interesting to see and hear the finger smiley. Yes Yes Yes!!!!!!

The thing is, Im a bit of a newcomer to NIN. Ive listened to them for the past 2.5 years, and the only time Ive been into them properly was this tour. When I knew everyone, the band kinda formed in front of me. And then, it came to be that this line-up would be the one I love. Now its changing and I still havent seen them live. I feel like a spoilt child inside, but most of the people here have seen them change personnel in the past so they know that it goes on.

I really wanted this to come to Europe. As did everyone else I guess. *sigh*.

12/14/08 4:59 PM

i want this to happen.

i love the dark room feel when i was at manchester.
just need a fuck load of smoke and some lights so i can see the band

THEN PLAY

^_^ it isnt about the fucking lighting people, its about the music.
so stop bitching.

Oh, and NIN IS Trent Reznor.

okay: he will definitely do festivals in europe. but this does not mean that he wont do ANY solo-gigs... so we can still hope.

12/15/08 3:07 AM

Just heard Trent talking about doing festivals in Europe next year... just hoping he does do proper NIN shows too. I guess festivals are good for exposure to the masses and not just NIN fans, but I'd be well unhappy about having to get sunburnt and/or muddy in order to see them, plus it seems odd after his comments from last year.
Anyway, fingers crossed Brixton will be booked again!

12/15/08 4:39 AM

I just hope I will be able to see him, I don't care where and when smiling smiley

12/15/08 5:59 AM

OK guys, sounds good to me. Deconstruct, turn the lights off and come and give us some good pure music and energy. I can't wait!
Although, yeah, Werchter would suck, I'd too prefer some dark, closed, more intimate venues, or a nicer festival, but I'll go for you of it's what it takes.
Hmmmmm... fellow Europeans, our time has come!

12/15/08 6:13 AM

you know what? i think next time i should pray that NIN is doing some festivals...cause everytime i make a wish the opposite happens. confused smiley

so...i have my fingers crossed they WON'T do any solo-gigs. smiling bouncing smiley

if they're doing festivals i hope the timetable is better then. frequency was terrible, the show itself was great but the crowd consisted of ignorant selfish assholes.

^_^ listening to nin at home/car/ipod is about the music!, watching the band live with an excellent show and atmosphere is about the experience!...watching them in a dark room with smoke is not as good as the awesome lits experience big lcd screen coolness
