Bump.
Im am not a perv but there's a preshow song on this tour that I cant find anythere. It's short, kind of dub, vocals distorted and the only lyrics that I legibly hear(or sounds like) is near the end of the song where he keeps on saying smack my ass and f**k me from behind. Any one familiar with this. From what I can recall its been played at the Amsterdam, Charlotte, Maryland, Tampa and maybe Albuequerque shows.

Yeah I love this thread, I check it from time to time, wish I could help you with the song but I'm curious to find the answer now from your description.

Bumping this 'cos I can't forget the one song I heard at all the three shows I went to (Luxembourg, London, Sonisphere) but I have no idea who it is either.

It's a catchy, RnB track I guess (?) with a deep female vocal. Any idea?

Interactive - "Dildo" and QOTSA - "Turning on the screw" were played at the Budapest show, from what i recognized.

Edit - nevermind, just saw people already mentioned this.

Anyone have a pre-show playlist for the recent NYC shows? Trent had some really good music playing while they were getting set up.

08/30/09 7:36 PM

I know I heard "Die Slow" by HEALTH before the Chicago 8/29 show. I didn't recognize any others offhand, sorry.

Lisztomania by Phoenix was played pre-show at Bowery. Only one I remember.

at the Camden NINJA show, I definitely remember hearing Wolfmother's Joker and the Thief. It was played in between NIN and Jane's sets. I remember reading somewhere that Reznor thought Wolfmother was an unoriginal Zeppelin cover band, so maybe it was a Jane's Addiction choice?

does anyone know the two songs played in this video?

I heard one of my favorites at V-fest - Sonic Reducer by the Dead Boys!

I've compiled every song from all 3 pages of this thread. There was another larger list on the first page, but kind of hard to read due to it being "song artist" with no separator in between.

The format of this list is Artist - Song and is in alphabetical order. Once again, it includes every song mentioned in this thread up until this post. Hope it helps.

Holy shitballs DiscoVolante, nice work on the organization!

I must add about the only thing I can confirm 100% I heard that isn't on that list, at last Chicago's show, was TV on the Radio's Golden Age.

I'm pretty OCD, so it helps me as well. smiling smiley

Added, as I will continue to every time a new song is included.

IS ANYONE STILL OUT THERE????
Just found this brilliant thread!!! Thank you for putting it together!!! I have a song that I have been trying in vain to find via google, this forum list etc... I even asked 20 to 30 people around me at the Wiltern when it was playing but NOBODY knew who it was! I've heard it at the Forum in L.A. and then between IO Echo and NIN on 9-10-09. It was maybe the 4th-ish song played before NIN took the stage for the final time.
Goes something like this... Medium beat, male voice, chorus lyrics say something like "I wanna fuck you on the dance floor". (I had more words scribbled on a piece of paper that is now long gone) I might be a little off with those lyrics but it is something like that. It's not a rap song. PLEASE HELP!!! GOING CRAZY!! Thank you!!!!!!

Just thought it might be worth adding that Ladyhawke - "Paris Is Burning" played before Mr Self Destruct at Webster Hall before Mr Self Destruct.

Also, katharotes, from your description, I am guessing it might have been Hercules and Love Affair - "Blind". Deep female vocal is actually a guy, but a very female guy. Great song.

Would anyone be interested in a torrent consisting of every song?

Over the last few months I've been downloading any album I didn't have that included a song from the list (was introduced to a lot of good new music) and now have all songs on the list.

Thanks for the addition saimagery, if anyone sees any songs that are missing feel free to post. Sorry wistfulgirl, hope you find the song you're looking for.

Every song is properly tagged when in iTunes, but the actual folder files are not organized in any specific way. If you create one play list on iTunes then chose to sort alphabetically it will show up nice and organized, as seen below.

The interesting thing about this list is if you hear one of these songs and you like it you end buying the CD I think I'm one of the few people that still buys CD's. I really like the Fischspooner and the Serena-Maneesh songs so I will be buying these today. Again DiscoVolante you did a fantastic job on compiling this list. Thanks again.

Get Fischerspooner's Odyssey. You will not be disappointed. That CD changed my life, and didn't leave my CD Walkman for all of 2005 [yeah I didn't have an ipod hahaha]. I have never heard an album like that... ever.

Entertainment by Fischerspooner (which is includes "we are electric"winking smiley is definitely not as good as Odyssey or #1. But Warren Fischer might be the best at layering and programming music.
