robin's intro to only > aaron's intro to only

and generally, as much as i thought aaron was fun, robin is in a class of his own. he blows me away every single time i see him play. the music sounds much more beautiful when he plays it.

Once again, I must post on this thread. After crying over how beautiful hearing Robin's end lead to La Mer with the EBow effect on the AATCHB DVD, I must say Robin wins (is that the right word to use?) because of his subtlety. And at the same time, Robin knows when to go all-out and go absolutely crazy with the way he plays. The man truly understands the "less is more" theory. Whereas Aaron was bouncing up and down throughout his tenure in the band, almost trying to upstage Trent. Meathead got it right when he decided to make him Mr. Flippy. Not to hate on his playing skills, because Aaron North is an amazing guitarist and really brought his own sound into the mix, which I think was the idea:

"He wasn't trying to be me, and play like I play. He played and chaos came out. It immediately made the band turn into something else."
—Trent Reznor, New Zealand Herald

But nonetheless, Robin Finck takes home the cake.

Aaron North.

Energy. Noise. Movement. Sound. Win.

Robin.

Respect to Aaron for landing the gig and doing a great job, but his foot stomp during solos is annoying as fuck. Reminds me of the guy yelling out during square dances - "doseedo and away we go". SHIT.

Aaron was really fun to watch and loved the dives into the crowd. But Robin just seems to part of the music - so definitely Robin.

Aaron, dirty ass motherf#^%$*&

robin is good as an artist of course but i don't feel him that much with Nails

Overall
Danny L. > Richard P. > Aaron > Robin

aaron! he is cute and he has a very smart taste in music ("autolux"!!!).
and he is not a scientologist. winking smiley sorry. i like jmj too, he is a good bass-player.
but anyway: the one i am missing the most is jeordie. he is simply incredible.
reznor is cool as well, but jeordie really was one of many reasons to visit a nin concert. it was fun to see him live and i would try to visit some manson concerts if there were more than one in germany.
