The question I get asked most often is: "Were the shows any different from each other?" I try to compare it to being a football fan - seeing the same team over and over playing the same game. Arriving early to hang out with friends. They seem to get it when I explain it that way.

I've only seen NIN once. October 7th, 2005 -Allstate Arena, Chicago, IL (technically Rosemont). It was great to finally be able to see Trent and co. after more than a decade of wanting to. It was even more special because it happened to be my 28th birthday as well. This was also Alex Carapetis' first show with them (how long did that guy last anyway? A month?). I heard that he had literally joined up with the band like midnight the night before, as a result they didn't have much time to go over the material with him. He fucked up in one spot (that I noticed) by starting in too soon after the break in 'Reptile'. This kinda messed the rest of the band up as well, but they recovered quickly. I wanted to see them this year, but I wasn't going to pay the money and sit through a bunch of bands I have no interest in just to see one band that I do like. (So Trent, if you're reading this I beg you: one more Chicago date before this tour is up.)

I've only been to four shows and since I moved back to upstate NY. If only they would play near Syracuse so I don't have to travel so far
