seeingred member Joined: 08/25/09 Posts: 259	tpd's drums are not so complicated as to be unplayable. i don't know where that stupid rumor ever got started, but it's not because of anything the band has ever said the drum solo is not some mythically difficult part, you can find youtubes of rubin or freese or many other drummers playing much more difficult drum solos if you were to ask me, the ending coda of tpd live would have to be mostly samples, which would sound like a major copout after the drum parts, when you need the end to be heavy and emotional that just seems like a more likely reason technically

march3yahoo member Joined: 08/14/09 Posts: 2	Aside from the obvious answer of what disappointed me from NIN ceasing to tour, (not seeing them) the two things that disappointed me were that I thought Trent would make an effort to get every song in live before the touring stops, yet he left so many unplayed. The other thing was I would have hoped among the guests would have been someone from Tool, like maybe Danny Carey would come in and drum on "The Perfect Drug"

In theory Trent would've had to play a show with Jourgensen, and I think the closest we ever got to that was Pigface (and I dunno if Jourgensen was involved with Pigface at that point). I mean, true, we got I'm Afraid Of Americans and that's a Bowie song, but Trent had more to do with that one than he did with Supernaut--all he did was sing. It wasn't even his production on it. That, and I dunno what Trent's opinion on that cover even is.

I saw NIN on The Fragility tour and unfortunately they didn't play it at my show (though the show was one of the most amazing concerts I have EVER been to) but I think they played it once or twice in Europe in '99. I think I remember them playing it a couple of times in 2007 and I am pretty sure they played it a few times on these last few "farewell" tours/shows. But would love to see some stats!
