fall leg... LOOSE talk???

06/12/09 5:30 PM

I just wanted a couple of posts to see if anybody knows more than the recent tour discussion post 'fall leg'... but is there any loose talk of NIN doing a rerun through the USA to hit the cities that they haven't already visited, the ones that AREN'T being played thus far?! I REALLY really hope so, but has anyone heard?

I realize they'd post it, but any loose talk people? If nobody knows... close this post moderator lol... I just wanted a solid reaffirmation.

Well I was thinking....WHY WOULDNT THEY come back to the US in the Fall??? I think the closer we get to august the more this will be talked about, because it seems kind of abrupt to end the tour in August?? Unless there are more Euro dates gooing to be added,,,but I'll keep my fingers crossed that there is a suprise comming and more US dates announced. Maybe more chances for fundraising for Eric or someone else? It would be great to have another opportunity for meet and greets for a noble cause!! And of course amazing music and people!! C'mon Trent Boston Garden or DCU center is CALLING YOU BACK!!

I have my fingers crossed for shows in either Vancouver or Victoria.

Do want.

Yes.

This.

Please?

Part of me wishes he will come back in the fall ( very close to Buffalo if not Buffalo NY) , on the other side seeing him the other day was great and almost want to leave it at that and when he's ready to do more NIN in a few years or so , it may be more worth it , if that makes sense.

To answer your question, OP, all it looks like is a bunch of "I wish"es so far. Although I believe the Hollywood Palladium had once alluded to a possible NIN show circa September, we all know what a clusterfuck the "leaked" NIN/JA dates (for a recent example) turned out to be. Haven't heard anything else.

After LITS last year and this, this year, really?

I think this is it guys. Something about the "get it while you can" comment last December in Vegas referring to this tour. Maybe another date or so to end it after these dates, but a whole 'nother leg? After all that?

sorry guys, I think this is it.

I would have loved to keep seeing more shows, but after 2 last year (one in vegas - never cheap), 3 this year, new video camera for these 3, new microphones for my audio gear, hundreds of dollars in merch, not to mention the best place my money went - to Erics fund......I seriously need to stop spending money. haha was trying to save up for a house this year finally (not easy in Los Angeles)

That said, Im SO THERE if theres an LA date coming up.

06/13/09 7:34 AM

Someone asked that when we were backstage. I think his name was Bill. He said absolutely nothing after Europe/Asia.

I have my wishes set on one date in LA. One final show just to end it in the US. Maybe not a huge arena, a smaller place of 5,000 or less. I refuse to believe it will end in Taiwan.

A whole leg is out of the question. One or two bookings in the LA area I can see and I hope for, perhaps an invite only? We'll see...regardless, I had closure in Jones Beach and during the four other shows I saw so I'm not DYING for one final show.

There has been absolutely no talk about shows after the summer from official sources. Trent has, however, said time and time again, that after the Pacific Rim, "that's it".

worth noting that pre-sale is still TBA for taiwan despite general sale having opened weeks ago.

Umm because this is the Wave Goodbye tour and he's done? The guy has toured his ass off since 2005. He's been saying he's done for quite a while. What more do you want him to say?

no way in hell they are doing another leg, there is a good chance off them playing a one-off finale show in LA just because it'd be absolutely stupid to possibly end NIN live forever in Taiwan, but I would love an NYC show, haven't got one since Madison Square Garden in 05

Waving goodbye,, to.....TAIWAN???? LOL!!! 2009 does not end in August! Bands add dates all the time, maybe they'll change their minds.

I agree with Powhatan...he's practically toured non-stop since With Teeth and his recent post about all the spammers seems to indicate that he's ready to move on, and you know what...he totally deserves it. It's time to stop being greedy and let him live his life. Thank him for being an inspiration and providing great music & memeories over the last 20 years and let him enjoy being a regular guy. I went to 2 LiTS shows last year and the upper level of each arena was blocked off by curtains, meaning a 18,000 seat arena was less than half full. Imagine how frustrating that is. You pour your heart into such a spectacular project and it doesn't reach the masses. I think that was probably the beginning of the end.

I dont think that would have been the case if they had toured with a known band like janes addiction last year. Plus the economy was worse then..its not much better now..but it was worse last year. The 2nd half of this year is going to be better for people so to say that they werent filling venues last year is the end has nothing to do with them...it was the economy. The DCU center was still packed they closed the upper balcony seats behind the stage but other than that it was full. Last time I saw them before lits they toured with Perfect Circle, packed the center.

The "marketing" for wavegoodbye was much better. Look how fast they sold out of the Meet and Greet Packages..Demand for NIN is still HUGE. To say that last year was the end for them is baseless.

No. LEAVE TRENT REZNOR ALONE!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAWWWWDDDDDD!

06/13/09 6:29 PM

I think the man just wants to chill and have a life. Sheesh. He has been touring for the past 4yrs?...If you didn't see them ..well you should have!

I still can't believe this thread is open. Good call I guess on the "loose" in caps in the thread title...

Welp. Thanks for all the input. Let me rephrase what I was thinking.

There are a couple of great points here. The economy is bad. Hell, I barely could afford going last year. Of course, I made the show a vacation. However, I feel slightly greedy now, after reading the posts here. Trent HAS toured hardcore and nonstop for a long time. I'm never ever going to complain if it really was the end. But I can't see NIN not going to LA for a show. And no, I'm not only saying that to agree with you who posted that in this thread. I'm saying that because Trent lives in LA and loves it there. And I know I wouldn't end my band's tour without stopping back home.

In other words, I've changed my opinion to 'not overly curious' on the matter. If they keep it going, great. If not, great. In any case, NIN will always be the greatness that I believe they are.

I refuse to believe that a "wave goodbye" or farewell tour would end overseas doing festivals and what not. I'm surprised this thread is still open. The mods shut mine down really quick.

olol Taywon r not ril cuntry innit??

c'mon... this thread is pointless... after Europe and the Pacific THEY ARE DONE! Wait a couple of years again. Everyone has done it before.

06/14/09 2:51 PM

1 more. Tomorrorw....................

06/14/09 3:22 PM

Let the tour end, the guy has been touring for years. I'd rather see him take a few years off and hopefully comeback and do another NIN record and tour than it all just come to an end permanently.

06/14/09 9:41 PM

Trent apparently said Bonnaroo was NIN's last show in the US ever, which would lead me to believe that after Europe and Asia, it's over. As much as I'd selfishly love to see NIN again, Trent more than deserves to live a normal life off the road and take a break from the near-constant touring of the last few years.

06/14/09 10:37 PM

Well that settles that! I bet he puts out more albums though..just won't be touring anytime soon. I thought Lights in the Sky was the pinnacle of NIN!

06/14/09 11:40 PM

Fall tour leg is bullshit at the moment. In the (unlikely) event that any fall dates are announced they'll be on the NIN.com Tour page.
