October 14, 2005 in St. Louis, MO.. With Teeth tour..

Got tickets with The Spiral, but due to drummer issues at the time I didn't get a M&G or soundcheck.. but I was almost in the center on the rail all night.. Great experience..

Never seen NIN live. Sucks now, but life goes on.

I saw them once and only last year.
2/8/09 at Sonisphere UK =]
Really enjoyed the unusual set, I cherish the moment.

November 2005 at MSG, from waaay in the back. Love is not Enough was the opening number. It reached all the way back and grabbed me by the throat. Rocked me like a roller coaster and didn't let me go for 5 years.

May 25, 2005 in Austin. It was the sirt time I was actually old enough to get myself to one. It hurt a lot, and I had paint embedded in my skin for a week from being pushed intot the rail so hard, but it was awesome.

Fuuuuuuuck, I will never get over not being allowed to go to that show! I was 14 and therefore without any viable means of transportation.

My first was October 3, 1995 at the Palace (NIN opened for David Bowie). Best: last summer, June 10 (PA) and August 29 (Chicago). Sweet-assed road trips there. Brutal recovery though -- apparently aging is not serving me well.

oh, and... I made the mistake of looking up the setlist for 12/31/1994 a few nights ago. Goddamnit.

I only go to see them on 6/21/06 in Portland, ME ... which was rescheduled from Feb when Trent was sick, and even came up to Maine that day to try and play, but couldn't. Still an AWESOME show that was worth the extra wait!

Goddammit Trent why did you have to stop just as I was getting into you.

Same, it sucks that right when I started loving Nine Inch Nails and researching the band, the only thing I ever see coming back is that Trent is no longer doing live shows.

Real disappointing.

Singapore, August 2009.

Wish I had discovered NIN earlier :'(

i am loving all of the Michigan shows in this thread! i've seen multiple shows on all NIN tours, and the Michigan ones are almost always my favorites. its not just hometown pride talking, i honestly think NIN brought it harder to MI and we gave it back in spades. even in the venue with stationary seatingsmiling smiley

It's interesting to see you mention this. Whenever bands would talk about how great the fans are in Detroit, I figured they said the same thing in every city they visited. After having seen shows in a bunch of other cities, I can say that we DO rock harder than the crowd in other cities (Chicago excepted). So even if its empty flattery, it turns out that it may be true smiling smiley

its also cool to realize that we all were at the same shows (well, SOME of us were at the NYE 94 showsmiling smiley ). like when Pink Trent did the interview with Trent and pulled out a key from a smashed keyboard from that Detroit show, i actually gasped because i was on the rail for that show and also have a key from that board and have it signed. cue its a small world afterall.

My first concert was my first NIN concert. I did it right! My favorite band was the first show I went to.

Great Woods, Mansfield Massachusetts. Prick opened for NIN, who opened for David Bowie and actually did a few songs with him.

The most memorable concert of my life, followed by Pantera in '96 in Fitchburg, MA, and Alice In Chains April 15, 2010 in Portland, Maine.

i waited for it for nine years locked in a wretched country.
got the escape ticked five days before the concert.
which was on June 14th 2005.

"Three shadowy figures crept onto the smoky stage and took their place behind their respective instruments. Once they were prepared, they were followed out by a brooding, wild and iconic black-clad figure. It could only be Trent Reznor, and the moment the drums kicked in for 1,000,000, it could only be Nine Inch Nails. What followed will be remembered as one of the defining festival performances here in Australia’s recent history. How can you describe watching angst anthems like March of the Pigs, Head Like a Hole and The Hand That Feeds (with countless more that followed) executed live by four outstanding, skilled musicians? How do you explain just what you feel as you watch Trent Reznor cry out “Please, make it all go away”, “How does it feel?” or “I will let you down, I will make you hurt” on the verge of tears? Most importantly, how on earth do you describe a performance that leaves you speechless?"

With the countless shows I've been to over the years, I really don't know why I haven't made it to a NIN performance yet.
