Here are the basic rules and guidelines in this forum:
• When a performance is announced, a moderator/admin will create a thread for it. The first post will be updated with information on the venue as well as links to ticket sales and any additional info. So check it on a regular basis.
• You can talk about anything pertaining to the show, before and after it.
• Use the threads to organize meet-ups, make travel and lodging arrangements, and find places to eat around the venue.
• To promote the international nature of the NIN community, you may post in your native language in the thread(s) corresponding to the performance in your home country. However, just because you can post in Czech in a thread for a performance in Prague doesn't mean you can flame other users or admonish people who are posting in English in that thread. The mods and admins are spread all around the world and will take action if you abuse this privilege. *NOTE* Non-Roman alphabet systems aren't showing up as they should on the forums. So if you're in Turkey, Japan, South Korea, etc. you'll have to post your text in the Romanized version of your language.
• Per NIN's policy,
scalping tickets is strictly prohibited!
Ticket reselling and swapping:
• If you must resell your tickets, you may do so at face value and face value ONLY!
• Swapping is permitted as well (trading tickets for one show in exchange for another). These trades must be even so nobody feels ripped off.
• If you have presale, paperless tickets, they cannot be swapped or re-sold.
• And out of respect for NIN and the fans,
SCALPING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! So don't go into a thread saying you've got an extra ticket and will give it to the highest bidder, do not link to a scalper's site/eBay auction/Craigslist ad/etc., just don't ask for anything more than face value. If you are found to be asking for more than face value for your tickets, you will be permanently banned. Same with PMs. If we get a report that you've been scalping tickets via PM, don't assume you'll get away with it.
• If you are looking for a ticket, don't offer to pay more than face value for it as it encourages scalping.
The best way to do these transactions is by PM. Simply go into the thread of the show you want to go to (or the show for which you've got a ticket or two to sell), let people know, and ask them to PM you if they can meet your needs. And if you're buying from someone or swapping with someone, be sure to get the confirmation e-mail from the original buyer so you have it for the show.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this policy, don't be afraid to PM a mod if you need any clarification.
