I'll be in attendance! grinning smiley

03/04/09 8:18 AM

I'm there

03/04/09 8:13 AM

Me too...sans tit-flashing.

03/04/09 8:52 AM

I've never been to FL but since I'm thinking of hitting the GA show - its only logical to hit this one as well!!

03/04/09 9:17 AM

Gonna be in St Pete that week. I'm sooo there.

03/04/09 10:03 AM

Drats...for once I may be too broke to go...

03/04/09 11:23 AM

^^screw that ... get a credit card (or another one). You can always pay later..

03/04/09 1:00 PM

Anyone know when the presale for this show is???

03/04/09 3:03 PM

This show is pretty much mandatory for me. I'm in Ocala and went to see NIN in Orlando last October. Kinda wish it was indoors though, hopefully by the evening it will be cooler. Either way if you're not close to Ft. Lauderdale this is the last chance to see the greatest music artist of all time in Florida for awhile! Unless of course you bump into Trent at a taco bell or something..

03/04/09 2:35 PM

Hmm...I was kinda on the fence about whether I could scrounge up enough money for this last tour, but since they're playing five friggin' minutes away from me, I guess I'm gonna have to.

I don't think it'll be uncomfortably hot, but even if it is it'll be worth it to hear them in the theatre. I've seen two shows at the Ford (Rush and Radiohead) and the sound was fantastic, much better than at the Times Forum (saw NIN and Depeche Mode), where the music seemed too loud and bassy. Different shows, of course, which may have been part of it, but I've always found ampitheatres to have superior sound for concerts (that's what they're designed for, right?).

03/04/09 3:44 PM

Mandatory for me too. My plus one will be the Jane's addiction fan who introduced me to NIN back in 1990, and joined me for my first NIN show in 1994.

Yeah never been to a live show outdoors before, except that amphitheatre next to the Hilton in Daytona. Although that was just some band playing that I really didn't come there for. Was just having drinks at Adobe Gillas and walking around outside, lol.

**Actually come to think of it I did in fact go to a show in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area but not quite sure where it was. It was outdoors and next to a body of water, pretty big venue though. It was some kind of rock fest for a radio station back in 2001 I believe. I had been under the influence of a few things and can't remember much but I know I was there wherever it was! Any idea? lol

Probably Next Big Thing, back when it was held at Coachman Park. I'll be there, plus 2 or 3 people. We'll be the people moshing or brains out to obviously unmoshable songs. Like Hurt. And Something I Can Never Have.

Planning to come to Tampa. Does anyone from the area have some suggestions on where to stay? (Affordable, safe, etc).

I read some reviews of the venue that the sound is awful, but I read some of the positive reviews here, so what is up?

03/05/09 10:25 AM

i've taken the days off work. im there and then some. coming down from VA...

It's not that good, tbh. But I'll be at this show.

03/06/09 2:21 PM

I wonder what time the show will be.. It would be cool too if some of us here could arrange some type of after party on the beach etc. I love the beach at night.

03/06/09 8:08 PM

If all works out, I will be there.

03/07/09 9:22 AM

With 3 bands...I hope they start at 7, or earlier. I wonder what time shows typically end at this venue? My local venue is like 10:30-11:00 for most shows...maybe 11 on the weekends.

I'm very excited about this show since I get to go to this one early and the CLT show late in the tour. Still trying to figure out the shows inbetween....

03/07/09 10:31 AM

See yall there!!

03/09/09 5:34 PM

When I saw the tour listings, I died inside. I leave for a study abroad trip to Europe May 6th, so even though I live in Orlando, I'm going to miss seeing them by 2 and 3 days. I'd give basically anything for them to do a show a few days early so I could see them again!! I've only seen them once, and that was this last year. I've never seen a show like that. The whole presence, performance, AND music combination blew my mind. I just wish I could see them again...to be honest I would skip the trip to Europe, but I have to take the classes, cause they're only offered then, or I'll graduate another semester late (I'm already pushing 2 years over)

03/10/09 1:11 PM

Me and the Hubby will be trying our best to attend.. I just need for them to put up the presale info so I can know pricing so I can buy them bitches!! Freaking can't wait! Will be my 2nd NIN show.. we saw them back in 02 when they came to Tampa...tho it shall be the hubby's 3rd or 4th NIN show.. he's one lucky bitch.. I got to ride the rail last time and got a piece of Aaron's guitar (the bridge and strings to be exact XD ) and a lovely scar on my eyebrow where it hit me.. hopefully Justin shall spilt some shit for me this time~~

03/11/09 7:46 PM

I'll be there for sure! Can't wait.

Ford Amphitheatre is a pretty nice venue, saw Radiohead there last year and the sound was pretty good.

03/12/09 11:18 AM

Anyone heard anything definite about the price yet?

03/12/09 11:33 AM

^^
I haven't seen anything...been looking out on the tour page a couple times a day + checking out Live Nation. Once they put a real ampitheatre on sale with a lawn, they should be in the ball park as far as pricing.

Anyone know if there is a PIT at this venue? or is it just premium seating? If no PIT, might just take the second tier option. Or I'll sneak in a screwdriver and rip those bastard seats out ....

+Sorry to hear that story organik....that does SUCK. Stay in Europe thru the summer and you still may be able to see them.
