So since I bought pre-sale tickets, I wouldn't be able to sell them for FACE VALUE to another member of NIN.com because you aren't allowed to change the name on the will call. is that correct?

What about swapping? If someone has 200 level seats and I have pit, we go to the concert together and swap tickets and someone pays the ticket difference?

Basically I bought GA tickets on Tuesday, my bank fucked me on Thursday, causing me a dire need to save money. And the post about selling tickets and swapping tickets is kinda vague. PM'd a mod but haven't heard back. Can anybody clarify this for me?

I don't want to make a dime on the tickets, just what I paid.

When you pick them at Will Call, you are the only person that can pick up the tickets because you paid for them on NIN.com. Bring your ID, Credit Card, and possibly your receipt. That's what I'm going to do.

Swapping is up to you. I wouldn't. If you sell your ticket or want the difference, it's basically scalping and/or re-selling. Trent posted an update about that. I don't feel like hunting that down, but I'm sure it will be easy to find.

And you don't want to make a dime on your tickets?...you basically are if you sell yours and want a 200 level seat. Wanting the difference is not making a dime.

I don't know if you misread my post and that's my fault for not being clear enough or if you just don't understand what scalping is. To clarify I have 2 GA tickets that I would like to possibly sell for exactly what was paid for them (i.e. no profit whatsoever). Or if someone has tickets to the 200 level, the 200 level tickets for my tickets and the price difference between the two sections. So once again, the person getting the GA pit tickets would be paying the difference of what they already paid subtracted from the price of the GA tickets. Hence, I would not be making a dime, as I would be getting EQUAL VALUE for the GA tickets (price of 200 level seat tickets + difference = price i paid through the pre-sale = no profit made)

It sounds like you think I'm saying I'll sell you the GA Pit tickets for what I paid and I want 200 level tickets too. That is not what I'm asking at all.

Say I paid 200 bucks for the pit tickets, I'd want exactly what I paid for them. Say someone paid 130 for 200 level tickets. We swap tickets and they give me 70 bucks to cover the difference. How is that making a dime?

03/21/09 9:04 PM

forget it...nevermind.

wow relax everyone for the vegas show my friend switched tickets twice once you got them from will call its up for grabs she did pay the 2nd ticket owner the difference from pit ticket to seat so long story short if you can find someone to trade with you go for itthumbs up

Cool, a couple mod's pm'd me too saying this was acceptable. Closer to the show I'll post in here if I still need to swap tickets. I don't want to, as I WANT to be 5 feet from the band. But wants and needs rarely intertwine sad smiley

On a side not, I discovered ninlive.com and have listened to all the rehearsal tracks non-stop for the last week. I can't fucking wait for May 15th

Does anyone know exactly what time the doors open? I got pit tickets (not presale) and I want to get a good spot. I'm willing to go really early, so what time should I get there?

If the show starts at 7:30 I'd guess doors are at 6?

According to pre-sale, and Live Nation, the doors open @ 6:00. From my experience at previous NIN shows (albeit not in AZ), some people start lining up early in the morning.

Start lining up at 3:30pm at the latest based on past tours - if you're that intent on being closer to the front of the line and having some chance at being on the rail. If not, no need to bother lining up early like that. Yeah, some people will show up in the morning to start lining up like the person in the last post mentioned. If you want front-center rail you'll probably need to as well.

Well, not free per se, still has to be factory-sealed, but at least you won't be paying $4 for a shitty little 20 oz bottle...lol

That is correct. I assume it's the best way they know of to counter scalping.

If they're really trying to stop scalping, I don't think they'll let you leave after getting the tickets to go swap/sell with someone else, they'll probably mark your name down, scan the tickets right there, and you go inside.

Going by previous shows at Cricket, you won't be able to get on the property to line up early. They don't open the gate until will call booths are ready to open. Don't know if it will be the same for this show, but it is this way for most shows at this venue.

Why is everyone so persistent of getting the rail? Rail is nice to lean on to get close to the band and maybe because you're a fangirl/boy and want the bands attention. *hopes he doesn't get his ass kicked at the show for what i said* eye rolling smiley. The pit is pretty small there so I bet there wont be much breathing room. First time Pit @ the Cricket, First for NIN. smiling bouncing smiley

I hope I don't sound like a fangirl or anything. I respect Trent Reznor and love all of his music. I'm not one for mosh pits. When I go to a concert I like to soak in every moment and just listen to the music and watch the artist. I want to get up front to take in everything.

The rail is also nice, because it doesn't feel as stuffy. You don't have bodies packed in front of you... just to the sides and behind. That and you don't have to worry about blocked views from Sasquatch's.

On the ticket swapping... the tickets can actually be traded pretty easily, here's the catch. Tickets have to be picked up from Will Call by the person who ordered the tickets, and you must have a Government issued ID to prove you are that person. Once you have the tickets, you can pretty much do what you want with them (yes, even scalp). That said, there is usually a separate entrance for pre-sale ticket holders. Again, if you want to get through this entrance (they usually let people in through this entrance first) you have to have the pre-sale ticket(s) with your name on it, and a valid Government issued Photo ID. If you use any regular entrance, the 'regular' event staff ARE NOT going to check your ticket against an ID. And yes, you can use any entrance with your pre-sale ticket.
