There are over 300 donors for Toronto. I can tell you from experience in Chicago, you are going to be rushed through a bit. And your stage viewing time will be in 15 or 20 minute intervals. Everyone needs a turn and there's only so much space.

Please no bitching on Wednesday. Be happy for the experience and that you got to help someone. Beyonce is doing a M&G at the Amphitheater when she comes and tickets were $1500 PER TICKET!! And she wasn't helping anyone.

That said, I got to do the VIP in Clarkston last night and there were only 38 of us so I had an incredible experience..

Thank you Fredrikeman!!

quick question:

I've never had any issue with this before, but posts before this one have gotten me a little worried. I bought my presale tickets with my brother's credit card. I however, used my name as the will call pick up, and the entire account is also in my name. This has been the case for all shows I've been to, but somehow, they always manage to print the credit card holder's name on the ticket, and not my will call name. I have yet to have any issue with him not being there to pick them up, not sure if it's due to the same last name or what. But I really! don't want to have any issue with this if they are possibly "cracking down" on the presales. I will bring the credit card with me just in case, but really, he wont be there so I better not get screwed!

I forgot to mention that the 300 donors do not include the guest that each donor is allowed to bring. So if every donor brings a guest, we can expect 600 people for the soundcheck/meet and greet alone.

Wow. I did a quick calculation and at 1 minute per person that's 10 hours to get through everyone. Yikes! I bet when they send their note out for the VIPs they'll be asking people to get there much earlier than Chicago so they can get started and feed people through during the whole day. I don't see how it could be done any other way. Hmmmm. Perhaps they'll limit it to 1 minute per VIP & guest instead of 1 minute each but that's still 5-7 hours. eye popping smiley

Did I fuck up my math here? It's amazing how fast one minute per person builds up, and that doesn't even include photographs. If I were the organizer I'd be feeling a bit frazzled right about now, lol.

I feel for whoever's trying to figure this out and get it organized ...

In any case it'll be an awesome day either way. thumbs up

Must not have been one of the first 50 or so in line. We were 9th in line, and they were walking up and down checking IDs, and wanding, checking bags etc. I guess you were lucky then.

This is kind of what we did, my friend used her credit card so her name was on the ticket. Yet, I was on JA.com under her log in to get them the day they went on sale.

When we got to the presale line, before they gave us the tickets, she had to show the credit card that was used to pay for it, and then a picture ID with the same name. When they were coming down the line before they let us inside, the lady asked my friend to see her credit card and drivers license, and had both tickets in her hand to match up the names which were all the same.

The only thing I can see being a hassle, is if the name on the credit card and your personal ID don't match, then there might be a problem. Makes sense in a way, it's like going into a store with someone else's credit card..etc.

I have a question..I have to work tomororw, getting out at 430, and then driving up to Toronto from Niagara Falls. I also have work at 7am the next morning, but have the opportunity to leave early..If there is reason to on Tuesday. I am going to see NIN, specifically. I never really care for the opening act, and, well, not really interested in JA either. I don't mind them, but I'm there for NIN. Their set starts at 745. Is there any reason to coem early, or stay after NIN's set? Does Trent interact with either of the other bands at all? Also, as it sold out, I wasn't able to get GA tickets, so I am stuck in a seat (blah) but, with that, there's no real reason to get in early and wait in line either..Does anyone have any info if there is anything before/after to wait around for or get in early for? Thanks.

If anyone has a GA ticket they want to trade for a decent seat ticket, let me know.

Also, does anyone know what pricing will be like this time up there? Seems to get higher and higher each time.

I think it's because kanadakev went in the main gates (for regular ticketholders) with his presale ticket, and therefore wasn't caught in the id double-checking taking place in the presale line/entrance. However, who knows if they'll start double checking special tickets at the main gates too, so the best thing is to simply not resell both presale tickets and/or only resell your guest ticket while, of course, making sure your guest buyer comes in with you for sure since your name is on the ticket if they check ids at the presale door again.

Cant wait for this shit, unfortunately I couldn't afford the 300 Dollar package in time before it sold out, and from the looks of how many people there are, all it would be worth is not more than a signature, something tells me I'll be able to hunt them all down after the show anyways for a pic and autograph...Just got my E-Mail on picking up my pre-sale tickets, I'll see you all out there tomorrow afternoon!...funny enough, I have seen NIN about 14 times now, so as stoked as I am to see their last Toronto appearance...I am actually more excited to see Jane's Addiction....that was the seller for me on getting pre-sale tix!

Just got the meet an greet email instructions. I'm worried about parking as we need to check in by 1:30 and the Ontario Place parking doesn't start till 2pm as per a previous post. Hopefully if we are there early there won't be too much on an issue.

06/01/09 2:37 PM

Got my e-mail as well and so am heading home and will see you all out there tomorrow!

06/01/09 2:48 PM

How early do NIN.com presale members get to go in? In the email it says we get to go in before general public. Does this mean we can get in before the 5:30 (doors) ? Or will they simply let in the NIN.com presale people @ 5:30 and make everyone else wait?

06/01/09 2:49 PM

Oh and by the way, it is windy as fuck at the amphitheater and tomorrow is going to be a chilly night. Layer up ladies and gents.

Speaking from experience last night. (dte). They let us inside the gates a good hour before general public. BUT, we had to stand around until the vip stuff was done. Once the donors were done the meet and greet etc, they had to wait at a section, so that we, the presalers could get to our seats first, once we are all in then they could go anywhere, THEN the reg. ticket holder people were allowed in.

Not sure if they will be doing that in Toronto, however, if they do, then basically the donors, are held in a separate area, and the presalers will be allowed to get to their spots first. This will only come in handy for pit really. DTE, didn't have a pit, so I'm not sure why they did that way, but a friend who had the vip, said they were being held in a spot, so that the presalers could come in first.

I would like to think that if there are that many for vip, that the presalers would get their luck at pit first, considering.

06/01/09 3:36 PM

i can't wait for tomorrow night!

if the weather is like today's, which it's supposed to be...it's gonna be cold down there!

06/01/09 3:49 PM

Hey, can I bring a pair of Binoculars? I'll be on the lawn and I want to bring some since I don't have a camera.

06/01/09 3:51 PM

2 hrs for 600 people.....wow.

I hope Ontario Place will let people start parking really early cause ...like someone said..they don't technically start till later.

Like Angelica, I am also still looking for a pit ticket. My number is 514 475 5330. Thanks!

06/01/09 4:20 PM

for those who have been to other shows on this tour prior, what is it like bringing video cameras into the stadium? was there any trouble? im bringing my video camera, but dont want it to get taken away

06/01/09 4:27 PM

I see they are splitting it into two separate meet and greet groups. It seems the $300 people are going in much earlier in the afternoon at 1:30 before soundcheck, and then the $1000 people get their meet and greet done at 5:30pm after sound check. Of course double check your own emails but that seems to be how it's being split up.

Okay, I have a question. May be kinda stupid but here goes:

For those who have donated $300 for the VIP package, is it safe to assume that after the soundchecks we would be let back out of the venue to pick up our presale tix?

I'm just thinking, if we have to be there for 1:30 and will call opens at 3:30, this is the way it would have to work, right?

Or, as donators, would we get access to our presale tickets early?

Anyone else kinda confused about this?

^Ya that is good like that.

Angie F- I would think that if we bought tix through presale they will give them to us at 1:30..or get in a different line for them. Some people have said that as well as the donar lines they divide people up who have presales too. lol I don't know if that made sense but I'm sure they will have it figured out tomorrow and we can ask. I too have presale tix and am a donator..so we'll see.

oh and apparently the Ex parking lot has machines to pay for parking so if the Ontario place lot is closed early try going to Ex...my fiance has sworn to me this will work..so we'll see.
