I am seriously pissed that I missed the presale. I usually check theninhotline and nin.com everyday. I just kept seeing on sale info coming soon on the nin.com homepage. TR’s twitter said ninja2009 was going live on Friday and I thought that that would be when the presales started.

So anyway, here I am like the rest of you waiting for tomorrwos presale. A couple questions:

The two shows that I am planning on attending are the Holmdel NJ – pnc show and the jones beach show.

Where do I buy tickets from tomorrow? Nin.co?, ticketmaster.com? livenation.com?

The seating seems to be confusing. Are there no “pits”? My girlfriend is short. Are the seats on an incline. Or is it just one level, where everyone will end up standing anyway?

The pricing levels on nin.com show the 6/6 pnc show as 99 for level 1, 65 for level 2, and 45 for level 3. On livenation.com I see orch 59, terrace 39, lawn 19

The pricing levels on nin.com level 1 – 105 and level 2 as 85. On livenation is shows stadium 1 85, stadium 2 55, and mezzanine 26

Why all these discrepancies? What do I look for tomorrow?

If I miss out on the presale, will they be on ebay?

Thank you in Advance

first, u gotta keep up with what the man's been doing for u, so u would know that if u appreciate it, u would skip ebay (check nin.com front page) and do what's right.

second: you're one day behind, man. i'm pretty sure pre-sales are GONE.

on your question: holmdel is inclined, but if she stands up, then it shouldn't be a problem there. wantagh: the first 3 section are not inclined. after those, it goes up. but the first three sections, again, i'm pretty sure they are gone, too - good luck with that - so, if you get the sections after those, then your girl won't have a problem if she stands up. I THINK.

sale: live nation. tomorrow. i mean, today, the 20th.

enjoy the show.

first nin show?

TBH I'm more worried about getting back?

no need, someone makes this announcement when you take the bus going to Jones Beach that the shuttle bus will be available at whatever time the show ends. They got you covered, the only thing is there's some waiting and lines to get on the shuttle bus and then you're at the LIRR station waiting for the train with other folks from the show.

I've had a good experience, I've felt things were well organized. There are a lot of people after the show getting in the shuttle buses and some staff person is there fully aware and running things, your not gonna be left stranded. You might have to wait here and there but you will get back to nyc.

Cheers mate!

But Im sure once you get there, you'll see signs pointing to the venue.

Your the shit! = )

I'll be there with bells on.

Well, except for the bells part.

Hi all, this would be my first NIN show and I would love to buy tickets asap (missed the presale), but I'm unsure as to which section to buy tickets for. Money is tight and I would love to be close to the stage but I'm not sure if I'll be able to sell a potential extra ticket I might have (I don't know if a 3rd friend will be able to go). How likely am I to be able to sell the extra outside the venue at face value? I'd appreciate any input smiling smiley

At this point you don't probably don't have much to choose from in terms of seating since the public sale was this morning.

03/20/09 7:32 PM

That's what I'm thinking...I thought the public sale was another day. Oh well. Do you know if LiveNation is like Ticketmaster in that they release seats as time goes on? Or are the better seats truly gone?

*edit* We settled on Mezzanine due to the money issue... hopefully the energy of the show will overshadow the nosebleed I'll be experiencing!

To the local people - If I were looking for your Craigslist, which city would I choose?

Hi All -

I've created a blog for keeping up with who's going where... feel free to add your ID in the comments for the show you are attending and I will add your name to the list. After adding your name I will delete your comment.

the show is sold out so there is demand - selling an extra shouldn't be a problem. however, i'd recommend arranging the sale beforehand. chances are someone on this board will buy it from you, if not use craigslist, etc. unloading an extra in front the venue is often a hassle - people assume you're a scalper and shy away from you, sometimes you miss part of the show (usually opener) because you're stuck outside trying to sell, cops harass you, scalpers chase you off their turf, etc. also, the number of people walking the parking lot looking for tickets tends to be lower in these suburban amphitheaters.

so while not impossible to find a buyer there, try to get one beforehand.

03/25/09 3:30 PM

If anyone has an extra ticket (I don't care if it's presale or not) within the first few rows of the orchestra section (preferably section A) please PM me!

(I know it's a long shot, but I figured I'd ask...) smiling smiley

Thanks!!!

I know some of you remember the Spiral Pre-Jones Beach BBQ from 2006. We had a blast then, let's do it again!

Obviously, this is open to anyone who is a part of these boards or ETS, or whatever. Lets do it BIG.

I'll be there! What a way to celebrate my 30th bday!

03/30/09 9:47 AM

i'll be staying in Staten Island, i'm from israel and i'm coming to see my family..
it'll be awesome if i'd have the chance to see NIN live!

so my question is - is there an easy fast and cheap way to get to the venue from Staten Island?
and of course, a way to get back.

03/30/09 3:46 PM

I'll see everyone in section A. smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley

I don't think there is a fast or a cheap way to get across the bridges from Staten Island to here. Borrow someone's car and drive over..

it can be done, but it's kinda tedious and i imagine it will take about 2 hours each way:
1. take the ferry from staten island to manhattan
2. take the #1 subway (red line) to penn station
3. at penn, take the long island railroad (LIRR) in the direction of Babylon station (!) to Merrick station.
4. from merrick station it's about a 20 minute walk to jones beach... but they might have a shuttle. or take a cab.

hope this helps.

I'm another 'Johnny Foreigner" who will be taking the LIRR from Penn Station. Nearer the time we should organise a meeting time for anyone who's unsure of where to go/what to do to get together and make the journey as a group.

thanks dulcinea79 and sweetcell ..
i'm still checking possibilities.
i don't have a driving licence, so i guess it'd go the hard way.
i have familiy in NJ, not sure if in Camden, so maybe it'll be easier to go to that show.

Silly question.....Would I really need a car for the NJ/NY Shows?

My wife and I Are gonna fly into Philly for these 3 shows

Would public transportation be a nightmare?

Any links/advice would be greatly appreciated!

public transpo is do-able however, expect everything to take at least twice as long to get there. you'll save some money but not tons. personally, i'd ask myself if it wasn't worth the extra $50-$100 (or whatever) to have a ride... but i'm a bit of a princess.

getting to camden will be easiest. take the ferry from philly.

holmdel: take NJTransit, see the holmdel thread for details.

wantagh: see my previous post above.

Hi, all! My first (and only) NIN show was 1994- Woodstock. Psyched to be going to the Jones Beach show this summer. I'm somewhere in the F section. See you all there!
