(and, if I don't get a pass, I'm still going there early, whether we get 2 of the 12 GA tickets or not. I usually buy GA tickets, but not sure if I want to be in the back. But if you need assigned seats to get close to the stage, not sure I want to do that either...How is the sound / view from GA?

From Tampa Bay Online: For the Tampa show even..... Tickets at $19.91, $45, $65 and $99 go on sale at 10 a.m. March 20(for general public) As you can see, depending on the venue, there are different pricing options...hopefully this show will follow Tampa.
