Over 16's only in standing area

Does anyone know how strictly they police this policy?

[tour.nin.com] has the link to click on to add your name to your account (it states that it won't show up anywhere else but there)

It's the right hand box - click on the link where it says:

This is getting exciting. really chuffed that Trent & co. have managed to keep the prices down. even with fees we'll not be paying over 40 quid per ticket, which is cheaper than Metallica & the Foo Fighter who I saw there a while ago.

Shame for the under 16s that they can't go into the standing area. Don't think I've ever encountered anything like that before. Thing is, if you get a ticket & look old enough, how can they stop you?

Good luck with tickets everyone!

Saw that there are two release dates for the 02 tix:

Presale
Start: Wed 15/04/09, 09:00
End: Fri 17/04/09, 08:00
Onsale to General Public
Start: Fri 17/07/09, 09:00

Occasionally, some events will be available to purchase over the Internet in advance of the general public on sale. These presales frequently require a password that may be distributed by the venue, artist, team, or promoter of either the event or the presale, or distributed by Ticketmaster. Often, these passwords are distributed to exclusive members of clubs or certain other types of groups and cannot be offered to members of the public. Links may be published on the Event Information page at the time of presale. Ticketmaster Call Centre and Customer Service representatives usually cannot give out passwords.

Anybody know who will distribute that password...?

Essentially what I'm asking too smiling smiley

I too would like to know the answer to this question... assuming they add the MEN show on there as a presale too and it is the same password...

04/14/09 7:00 AM

The Ticketmaster pre-sale will probably not have a password, but it will require a particular link.

Most of us are on Ticketmaster / Ticketweb / Live nation e-mail lists & will be checking mail throughout the day. If I receive anything I'll post it here.

04/14/09 8:01 AM

Hmm, it might be worth signing up to the ticketmaster/livenation mailing lists, having a friend on standby with an o2 phone, and checking sites like beatthetouts.com, which often post passwords and things.

I have an o2 phone, so I'll check the site tomorrow morning and if there's some sort of code I'll post it somewhere on the NINternets so someone can use it (provided I'm successful tonight, of course!)

04/14/09 7:10 AM

I wouldn't worry about the Ticketmaster presale - you don't usually need a password or even a Ticketmaster account to access them, just turn up at the link.

I'm v impressed with the way nin.com handles it's presale I must admit, much less stressful than trying to work out how the hell Depeche Mode's presale the other week worked!

Should be - i'm using my mum's visa today as i have no money left. I'm sure we'll hear each other screaming across the sea if it doesn't!

04/14/09 8:41 AM

There is an option further down that opens a new window for you to put the details in. It confused me for a second as well.
