Anyone know about how long the walking time is from the venue to Penn Station?

Far, u have to take the 1 to cloumbus circle and walk down another 7-8 city blocks. If u gota car take, it, the west side is pretty empty on a wednesday night, u will find plenty of parking.

Thanks, gonna walk there before the show to see some of the city but will most likely take the subway afterwards

Finding a cab after show will be tricky, your best best is to walk up a few blocks and should have no problem. There is a great pub on one of the corners, they got good food and decent beer.

08/25/09 8:24 AM

im looking for an extra for a buddy - please PM me if one opens up.

thank you.

08/25/09 9:28 AM

Thanks everyone for all the info on cabs and the subway, this will only be my second time in the city, first being the Bowery show, so I am pretty clueless.

08/25/09 8:30 AM

What time are people going to go wait on line?

08/25/09 8:34 AM

im hearing rumors about Bowie being there tonight. any substance to this or is that scalper fodder to make profit?

08/25/09 8:36 AM

*mission impossible*
(da da dun na, da da dun naaaaaa)

*incorporate the guttural / mind blowing artistic creation 'Sunspots' into setlist @ echoplex / LA

*award tickets to Terminal 5 in NYC to Houghy

this message will self-destruct (as will Houghy) in 5....4.....3....2.....

That's complete BS.

08/25/09 9:49 AM

Yeah I highly doubt Bowie is going to show up, however mind-blowingly awesome that would be.

i believe that rumor started on this very board, when someone suggested that in order to top WH, Trent brought out Bowie ... well, we can hope.

and on a side note, i dont see how i am being a dick ... simply because im offended a few people over the past few days keep insinuating that NY is such a dangerous place ... even though this venue is literally on the brink of one of the most expensive neighberhoods in the world, the upper west side, a few blocks away from the Trump towers and central park West ...

maybe its because i work in one of the most dangerous areas of NYC, East New York. or maybe its that new york attitude. anyway, no offense was meant so i apologize. hope we all get to enjoy the show. should be a great one.

asilentnoise - sorry about that, I overreacted about your comment.

I'm starting to get real excited, leaving work in 45 minutes to head to the train station. I'm hoping they play Sin tonight, I'd really like to see that one last time.

08/25/09 9:19 AM

I can't recall ever feeling unsafe in the city. Common sense goes a long way.

08/25/09 9:20 AM

everyones friends again!

Sin would be awesome.

08/25/09 9:24 AM

I'm sure there's been a ton of the same posted previously, also looking for one extra for tonight; got hosed on the onsale, just looking to see nin one last time, please send a pm if you do you have one

08/25/09 9:25 AM

sin^^

Cya everyone up there!

08/25/09 9:29 AM

I think if you go early, wait around and are vocal about your need for a ticket, you will find one. It is also my understanding that people have been being let into the shows. Patience and determination will get you in.

Good luck all and have fun.

My neck has finally recovered from Saturday, so I'm ready for tomorrow!

08/25/09 10:45 AM

Yeah I know a couple people said they got let into the Bowery show about halfway through the set

08/25/09 9:50 AM

Just a quick note to tell you that the merch table at Webster Hall was cash only.

I don't know if this was the case at the Bowery Ballroom but you may want to hit the ATM on the way to the T5 shows....just in case.

08/25/09 10:56 AM

I'm pretty sure I saw someone at Bowery using a card at the merch table, not positive though. I'd bring cash just to be safe

08/25/09 10:00 AM

Getting ridiculously excited for this show. I don't even care what the set list is - they could pick out 25 songs out of the catalog at random and we'll all still lose our shit with excitement. This will be my 8th NIN show and every time I go they start a song and I find myself saying "Oh yeah, I forgot how good this song sounds live."

Really been digging the Horrors album too and looking forward to seeing what they can do in a live setting.

08/25/09 10:06 AM

I have an extra Ticketmaster paperless presale ticket for tonight's show.

PM or email me at malamoney@malamoney.com if you are interested.

Face value.

Thanks,
Mal

thanks for the non-dickish reply modehead, I think we'll definitely check out the subway

Dude, leave me out of it. When you tell people that you find their hometown "scary", they have every right to be dickish. Manhattan is the safest part of the safest large city in country.

All the other shows were cash only. I'd assume this place is the same.

08/25/09 10:36 AM

For everyone with safety concerns, I can assure you that T5 is in a safe spot. It's a pretty isolated part of the city, and you probably won't run into anyone within 3 blocks of the venue that isn't going to the show or a scalper.

Now... if I could just lock down that ticket smiling smiley

08/25/09 10:37 AM

If anyone has an extra presale, I'm #6 in line.

08/25/09 10:41 AM

Can anyone post the picture that came with the email? I haven't gotten anything yet.

Thank you very much!

08/25/09 11:42 AM

Getting ready to make the trip to NY for tonight. So pumped. Have fun everybody, see ya there!

08/25/09 10:43 AM

I need one desperately for tonight anyone???

08/25/09 10:44 AM

for anyone that needs help finding their way there - http://www.hopstop.com will give you point to point directions using the subway. From what I remember, it's a bit of a walk to Terminal 5 from the closest subway stop. They guy who wants to walk from Penn Station is NOT going to enjoy that walk.
