Any idea if any service fees will be involved with the pre sale and if so how much they'll be?

I'd also like to suggest the Dave and Busters in Chicago as a fan meet-up location. I have no idea how close or far away it is from the venue but I just love D&B since they're one of the few places you can find anymore with a really nice-sized Arcade.

I believe it is right off of the Lawrence red line stop

Ahh thanks for the info.

One more technical question. My friend is on vacation right now in Europe and asked me if I could order a ticket for him too. I was already planning on getting two, one for myself and another friend. If I have two computers running on the same wifi service in my house will I get booted from the ticketing service? I would be using my account on one computer and my Euro-friend's account on the other. I'm NOT trying to hog tickets, I'm just wondering if it's possible to score a ticket for my friend this way. I'm kind of nervous to try it and may just try walking another person through the process.. Has anybody tried this before?

One internet connection or one credit card for multiple purchases shouldn't be a problem, though I know of people who say to use a different account on each computer just to be safe. I don't know firsthand if that's really a limiting factor or not, though, because I've never dealt with this presale successfully either-- went to Lolla '08, then was busy sitting an exam during Charter One's presale.

Yes, I'd be using my friend's account on one computer and my own on the other. Thanks for the info! I didn't think it would be a problem; I just wondered if anybody else would doubt the possibility.

OH! I thought that you wanted to use your account for 3 tickets. My misunderstanding smiling smiley If you're using two different accounts you shouldn't have any problem with NIN.com or anything like that. Just make sure your internet service is good, that's the only foreseeable problem with setting up two time factor things at once.

I did notice just now that when I went to check my MT account, that page and link is gone.

There's no age limit, right?

07/17/09 1:55 PM

yeah looks they changed things up.

i'm hoping for any advantage to get tickets to be honest.

07/17/09 2:05 PM

I never thought of this...but...

Are tickets secured once they're in your cart or only after you have entered payment info and gotten confirmation

07/17/09 2:24 PM

you get them in your cart but if you screw around you could lose them. they tell you how much time you have. don't dick around and also pray that your internet connection is stable.

07/17/09 5:40 PM

i just managed to log on now. started at 4:10pm.

if i dont score tickets through general onsale, i would be willing to put up an out of towner(or even towners, up to 2) at my crib for free (i live in evanston) have a decent couch that unfolds into a springy bed. of course will drive to the show, and pay full price for the ticket....

if you are out of town and got an extra presale ticket, feel free to pm me about my offer

Wow, I can't believe it. Through all of that turmoil of an overcrowded server I actually scored two tickets to the Friday show. On top of that, another one of my friends procured a pair. There are four of us. We're all coming from MN. I'm soooo happy!

07/17/09 4:42 PM

So who all got in and (more importantly) HOW?!?

And am I the only one who suspects the clusterfuck was intentional?

Think about it...

07/17/09 4:45 PM

Sorry to those who didn't get tix. I got 2 for Friday. I was in that damn waiting line for an hour. No Saturday tix though. Gota get them on the 31st.

07/17/09 4:48 PM

i got 2 tickets for 8.28!

this will be my ninth and final nin show.

i have to say the ticketing systems haven't changed very much. although i enjoy having a more specific place to go as opposed to ticketmaster. the reason is because the more specific place is slightly more confusing.

if you're ocd like i can be when i want something you'll leave links to the main ticketing screen that you remember from other pre-sales, and do the same shit at the same time you're used to from before.

this is not a matter of waiting in line. there is no line its the internet. this is based on luck ( 1%) and knowing what you're doing when you need to do it (thats 99%). thats the reason why people don't get tickets.

i got onto my computer at 5:45 and was slightly worried when the site was crashed but i mean shit, how many NIN fans were fighting over like 500-1000 tickets for 11-12 shows? you have to expect it.

i'm sorry to all that didn't get tickets. i'm not trying to be an asshole its more of a KLF - this is how i did it type thing. and believe me the 1% that makes up luck is what i base my life around.

Tell me how it could of been intentional? I don't see it.

As for the tickets, if I knew it was gonna be the way it was. With a waiting room etc, I would have logged in when I got to work in the morning and stayed there.

07/17/09 4:50 PM

thankfully i logged into musictoday 6 hours ago and never closed safari... i had no issues getting tickets for both chicago shows. see ya there!

07/17/09 4:52 PM

My mom got me a ticket to this show while my Internet was down today! WOOT!

07/17/09 4:55 PM

Living in Montreal, I wanted to get tickets for an NYC show, especially cuz I could easily find a floor to crash on.

Long story short, I ended up not getting one, but I got one for Chicago. Anyone willing to put me up for a night? All I need is some floor space, really.

Thanks in advance!

07/17/09 4:56 PM

can any1 tell me where the regular sale of tickets is gonna be from? live nation? ticketmaster? its impossible to get on the website to buy tickets when they 1st go on sale. but if i can find out who is selling the tickets i can just go through them. im a huge nin fan for over 15yrs and if anyone could let me know i would greatly appreaciate it. trying to go to chicago on the 29th but i could not even get on the website an hour b4 the sale. lol htats FUCKING NUTZ

(crossposted) First twitter, then nin.com (and our accounts suddenly "disabled"winking smiley... The timing of it all. I was thinking 2 things: 1) A planned reaction to the same people getting tickets all the time and 2) A game -- like only folks who were smart enough to beat the system got in. Who knows?

Does anybody else feel taunted by the phrase "check back later as availability is subject to change?" He's done that before, you know -- made more tickets available. That's either my faith in Trent as a human being kicking in, or denial.

Oh well... There's always hope.

07/17/09 5:10 PM

^^^I only agree with the Account "Disabled" part, cause that happened to me 5 minutes before tickets went on sale then it crashed.

07/17/09 5:29 PM

I think Trent knew that if he saw how absolutely pissed people were about this, he probably wouldn't even fucking show up at the shows.

07/17/09 5:30 PM

Oh, and anyone with an extra ticket for this show or the other one, feel free to sell it to me.

07/17/09 5:30 PM

woohoo!

My plan was to by tickets for the friday show, because it looked like more people would want to go to the last show in chicago and my plan worked!!

I scored a couple tix to 8.28!!!!

Now, i need to try for saturday show on the public sale. . .

07/17/09 5:34 PM

Got to the page where I had to select the number of tix that I wanted and I chose "2". Message informed me that 2 tix were not available. So I kept submitting the form over and over again selecting "2" each time. Finally after doing this about 20 times I was finally able to get 2 tickets for the Friday show!!!!!!!!! Coming from Columbus Ohio

07/17/09 6:53 PM

Going to this one. May have extra available.
