See you guys there!

07/20/09 3:23 PM

I have an extra ticket for Echoplex (LA) and Wiltern (LA).
Looking to trade one or both for a Bowery (NY) ticket.
PM me if interested.

07/20/09 5:19 PM

I am looking for someone who may have an extra ticket for this show and/or Henry Fonda. I will pay cash for tickets or I also have one extra Palladium ticket I can trade. Please PM me if you can help me out. I am traveling all the way from MN and would love to see more than one show.

07/20/09 4:22 PM

you say you will play ruiner? fantastic, can't wait!

07/20/09 5:41 PM

Assume for a minute that all tickets are GA, including balcony. If that ends up being the case, how many of you are going for floor and how many are going for seats? And what time would I need to be in line to get seats? I love being up close on the floor, but I can't do it anymore due to illness. I could not take that punishment. Also, if there really is no longer a public sale, then going presale really won't be a help to get in earlier.

My husband's boss is being a bitch about giving him Friday off (we both work at the same place, but his department is much more bitchy about time off than mine), so we may have to fly in on Saturday morning, and that's not going to be a great setup if it happens that way. Flight times are shit from MSP to LAX with very few nonstop flights, so either we'll be up at the crack of dawn trying to get there early on Saturday then have to stay up until ungodly hours for the show, or have to fly in Fri night and arrive at what would feel like 2:00 am to us. I don't like the idea of showing up that late at night and trying to drive to a hotel in a city we've never been to.

07/20/09 8:59 PM

is anyone not planning on lining up before 9am? be a long day, Starting to think if I get there after 9 I will be at the back of the line. sad smiley

Anyone want to meet up before the show half-way? Get some drinks, share stories, or just get in line? Sorry if someone already started this topic.

If you are staying at the Biltmore, which is a very cool historic hotel BTW (where they filmed TONS of stuff---scenes from Pretty In Pink, and most recently Entourage (the Gatsby Party) etc) Oh...and my Prom was there. The only cool thing about Prom. hee hee...sorry...distracted easily. Shiny things... :-)

For the shows, You can get around via public transportation. I can't recall if there is a subway station nearby, but the DASH will also take you to Union Station where you can hook up with the subway and take that to the Wiltern and Near the Fonda/Palladium if you are going to those shows as well. The only thing I am not sure about is how late the subway runs...but for getting there, you can save yourself some $$$...

RE: the Airport---I would look into a shuttle service, like Prime Time. Or...for about how much you would be spending on a cab, you could probably hire a Towncar service---which would make your trip way more enjoyable from the airport. Before you book anything, I would check with the hotel and see if they have a shuttle service (many hotels do) or any suggestions. Ask for the Front Desk manager or concierge.

Lots of cool stuff to see downtown if you are here for a few days! Especially if you are into art/historic architecture! You are close to Museums, Koreatown, Japantown, the Fashion/Garmet District. Dodger Stadium, Chinatown...Union Station...a 100 year old lunch place called Phillippe's...The Rayburn Building...sorry...love playing tourguide. :-)

Anyway---hope that helps! Find me at the show and Thank Me! :-)

scored 2 pit tickets 4 this show. heading out friday evening most likely will be staying in santa monica by the beach. i am really looking forward to this show...1 last time.

i have no idea. i hope so. otherwise, looks like the floor is staggered level wise so that even if my 5'8" shortness is in the back, i'll be allright.
but i've only been upstairs in there so i don't even know if that's how it actually is.

I'm hoping to go upstairs too and will not be lining up super early so you're not alone. I'm tiny so getting crushed in the front is something I have no desire for any way.

Hey guys!
I'm soo excited about seeing NIN again, but if anyone, ANYONE is willing to switch tickets with me it would be great!
I have two palladium tickets but due to events out of my control i am looking for two wiltern tickets. I'm just asking for a switch, no extra costs, no extra anything.
Please PM me and we can discuss details.

07/21/09 9:21 AM

I want to propose a trade, I know alot of people, like myself, are traveling to multiple cities for shows. I ended up with extra tickets for Wiltern, Henry Fonda, and The Palladium. I'm looking for extra tickets for Echoplex, the Bowery, and Webster Hall. If anyone has ANY of these shows available, I'd like to work out a trade with one or more of my tickets. Please pm me if you're interested!

07/21/09 10:05 AM

I'd like to get a ticket for this show.

I'll be for the first time in the USA and to see NIN there on one of their last shows would mean ALOT to me! As of now I have no US-tickets at all. And on july 31 when tickets go on sale I'll be in Madrid to see NIN so I'm not sure if I'll find a good connection there to order tickets.

TO ALL PEOPLE WHO have an extra ticket to one of the LA shows and WANT TO TRADE. If you don't succeed, PLEASE contact me.

Thanks!

07/21/09 11:50 AM

Willing to exchange two tickets to the Palladium show for two tickets to the Wiltern show. Or purchase tickets to any of the following shows: Wiltern, Echoplex, Fonda. Let me know if anybody is interested

Just for some counterpoint and no offense, but I think downtown LA is one of THE WORST places you could spend your time. It's drug addled with absolutely no scenic or redeeming value whatsoever (not to mention unsafe). Stay out of there and go to the beach. Santa Monica, Venice, hell even Hollywood is less of a dump than Downtown. Koreatown? Japantown? That dump they call Dodger Stadium? If you are here for only a few days there are the absolute last places you want to be.

Darling, if they were staying in Beverly Hills or West LA, I would have a whole different set of suggestions for things they might want to see whilst in Los Angeles. If they were first timers coming to LA specifically to be tourists---all of the things I mentioned would be much further down the priority list. It’s all what you make of it---the reason I mentioned the things I did is because they are in the immediate vicinity of where they are staying and where the shows are located. It was intimated that they would not have a car while in LA, which makes it more challenging, and time consuming to venture out to say, the Westside or the Beach. Obviously downtown has many problems---and things/areas you should be cautious of, as any large downtown city does. But why come at it from a negative place?

Personally, you are way more likely to find this girl hanging at the Polo Lounge or 1912 (Amazing Mint Juleps!) at the Beverly Hills Hotel than you are downtown---but I have spent a lot more time downtown in the last year---and there are many cool things to see and do…if you just open up your mind.

Hey Jetsetter, Screw the Haters! Thank you so much for the advice. My roommate and I are big boys and need not worry about typical downtown problems. Hell we might even walk the three miles to the venue, if the street has access for it. But yeah, thanks for the advice.

There's definately alot of homeless psycho's / addicts / whatever roaming around and it can be alarming for anyone who's not been in that kind of mix before.
However, I usually go in for stuff at Staples center or the Nokia and don't venture far from Figuroa and have never had a problem in what may be near 70-80 times counting all the hoops I've been to. It has a much more tolerable vibe during the day, but I'd agree that at night, you may want to keep you roaming in the downtown to a miniumum.

that is a damn good question. A friend of mine who was also unlucky is wondering the same thing and so am i. I can't find anything Live nation or otherwise around this date and venue for another sale. I think it is all sold out, but no one wants to mention it for some odd reason or hasn't gotten around to mentioning it.
