Which part of this is a mystery? The hundreds of shows they've played in recent years, or the virtual non-stop touring since 2005? They finished a mammoth arena tour in December, and played 30 or so dates in ampitheatres across North America less than six months later. Those tickets weren't exactly hard to come by, so I am not sure where being "mad" comes into play. I don't know where you are, but assuming it's CA, there were four shows in this state 3 months ago, only one of which sold out.
Since the tour with Jane's Addiction was supposed to be a farewell, this is pure bonus, and probably intended for diehards. I am not happy about missing out on tickets - nobody is, but to cry that it's "unfair" seems ridiculous.
This probably reads far harsher than intended, but it's bizarre to hear that the venues are too small.... And besides, it could have only been one show....not four. Or none for that matter.
