I am looking for tickets to any of the LA shows to take my mom to. We are NIN kids that didn't make the pre-sale cut and have a blast together at concerts. Any fellow NIN heads willing to share some love would be amazing.

07/18/09 3:36 PM

Awww. Cute! lol. I'm not trying to sell my other ticket. I kinda want to go with someone I know. I don't have the best luck taking people I meet the day of the show male or female. Usually it's awkward and we go our seperate ways once inside the show or after the show is over. I was tempted to only get one ticket but knowing my luck I'll end up with a girlfriend by then and she'll beat me for not having a ticket to take her to NIN too so that's the only reason I got two. That's happened to me before for Depeche Mode & Interpol and I either had to go alone and suffer the wrath later or pay out the nose for an extra ticket to a sold out show. Who knows what will happen between now and the show? We'll see. =)

I second that thanks. Also, any other good hotels around? The Best Western is a little steep for me.

....greedy douchebags...

07/18/09 3:47 PM

like everyone else, looking for tickets. now that we are not allowed to pay over the price, i will offer dinner and drinks or something. i am a nin fan for life and always have been. my birthday(yes sob story lol) is on 9/9/09 and it would be the best gift ever. i would be ever so greatful. anyways, i also have a wiltern ticket i could trade or whatever. thank you all, i am amazed at the devotion nin fans have. and yes, down with the scalpers. i saw an auction for $10,000, can you believe that?!?!?! ridiculous!

well, if i don't see you at echoplex, i will see you at wiltern before hand. thank you all.

So does anyone know if we can get eBay to cancel these auctions since it is provable that they are offering imaginary or intangible offerings, being that they are not able to ship a ticket they will place in your name and are requiring you to complete the transaction outside of ebay by requiring you to meet their representative to enter under their name?

No ethics what so ever... I'm thoroughly appalled.

07/18/09 3:49 PM

Are you only going to EchoPlex or more than 1 show? If you're only doing EchoPlex, book America's Best Value Inn ASAP. It's on 811 N Alvarado St, Los Angeles, CA 90026. That's the closest hotel walking distance that's cheap near the venue. $60ish I think last I checked. There's one cheaper more down, Deluxe Inn on 356 S. Alvarado Street Los Angeles, CA 90006 but it's near MacArthur Park. Not the safest place in L.A. but I think it's $42 a night. That's farther away & you might need to pack your whoop ass stick. There might be some no name motels around too or try a couch surfing website and maybe stay with a stranger for free.

MOD EDIT: No auction links, please.

this is disturbing

"THIS IS FOR NIN FANS ONLY - I am a huge fan, and want to see this ticket go to a fan, hence there is no starting price - my buddy can't travel with me on the day, so you come in with me on the night"

That statement is repulsive. What I find downright disturbing though is the fact that people are bidding on the tickets. I hope whoever is bidding on or buying tickets from a scalper or anyone over face value realizes what an ass they are as well. It'll never stop if you continue to support it.

*sigh*

Fucking ridiculous...

So let me get this right, out of all the auctions and sellers to call 'disgusting' you chose the person that started their auction at .99 cents with a 10 dollar minimum increment, meaning that the high price of the auction was caused directly by the idiot fans trying to buy them and not the seller trying to charge steep prices for profit?

That sound about right?

The seller should have listed the ticket at face value with buy it now as the only option. Come on, you think that sounds a bit more right?

The only reason this person is defending that seller is because he is that seller. Check out his join date. He just signed up to get tickets and thought he'd get an extra to sell on ebay instead of giving it to his non-existent buddy that he somehow ALREADY knows merely one day after buying the tickets isn't going to be able to go. Even though the show is two months away. Some sort of psychic.

It's incredible how fucking stupid and conspiracy driven this message board is. No, I'm not the seller, you fuckwit. I only got tickets to the Palladium show anyways, I was just pointing out that there are better targets to vent at than this person.

I'm going to Wiltern as well. Thanks for the suggestion. I may end up trying for a hotel between the venues and taking a cab or public transit.

07/18/09 4:25 PM

For the Wiltern, make sure wherever you stay has a stop at the Red Line subway. One of the stops is literally across the street from the Wiltern. It's a whole lot cheaper to do it that way. Day passes for public transportation in L.A. is $5 and includes all the subways & MTA buses. It expires at 4am the next day in case you stay late anywhere. Cabs are REALLY expensive in L.A. Make sure it's for short trips.

So happy to have gotten tickets!
I think me and the girlie are gonna fly out a few days before to visit with some of her family and stuff. I haven't been to Cali since I was a youngin'.

Also, looking for one more ticket for a friend of ours who lives out in LA, but is on vacation with family right now so she wasn't able to get herself a ticket. She's cute and pretty good company smiling smiley

still dying inside that I will have to miss this.

Does anyone know if all the tickets are sold out or just the pre-sale? Before yesterday there was a date for Public sale on the 31 for all LA shows. Now I do not see that. I know these are small venues, but damn. I hate having to be at work during pre-sale and not by a computer. Any info on any LA show would be appreciated.

07/18/09 6:31 PM

As far as I know there will be a sale for Wiltern & Palladium through Live Nation. We'll see. Trent did mention that he wished that he could sell ALL the tickets to all 4 shows but it was out of his hands. 5pm was the sale date for each area so I'm guessing NIN took work into consideration somewhat. For sure Henry Fonda Music Box & EchoPlex won't be on sale again. Sold Out.

I'm sure you are all shocked but...

I NEED TIX...

JUST 1!!

or 2!!

WHATEVER!!!

HELP!!!!

Ditto to all the offers on here...you name the stakes

07/18/09 7:35 PM

I have planned to come from France and at 2:03am in my country (7:03pm in LA), I don't manage to have tix because loading was too long...

07/18/09 7:44 PM

In order to cut back costs, I will likely be sleeping in my car between shows. Believe me, I'm used to it. I slept in my car in the desert, truck stops, buried in snow. I can handle it.

Of course, I can offer up my apartment for anyone who is hard up on money like me. I have to clear it with my roommate but he's pretty cool. Just throw in a few bucks to help me with transportation costs. I live about 30 miles east of L.A., drive isn't bad but when you're unemployed, the miles & gas add up.

I hope there is a new litho for these shows. If not, I'll create one.

I guess I'm lucky to say that I have all four shows too. The community for this band really is awesome.

However, I guess I'll leave up this avatar for the lulz.

Just curious, which offer got you the Echoplex ticket? The sex one or the tickets to the other three shows? grinning smiley

Actually... neither. winking smiley

Now you're giving ME ideas. I live 7 minutes north of the EchoPlex & have my own place! Also the buses a block from me are 24 hours & drop you off in front of the Palladium & Henry Fonda Music Box. Hmmm.....

I don't think anyone can offer a pair since one of the tickets has the buyers name. =/

I live in LA down the street from echoplex. Will someone take me as their guest? I'll pay for tix and give you a place to crash as well

07/18/09 8:09 PM

Also will trade 1 Henry Fonda ticket for 1 echoplex ticket.

07/18/09 8:20 PM

Wow. These tickets went so fast. Lucky fuckers you are if you are going.

If anyone decides to sell two at face value, including convenience charge and stuff, I am all about buying it off of you, but I won't beg at all. I have Wiltern tickets. Either way, this is going to be epic.

07/18/09 8:22 PM

Please can anybody sell me a ticket to this show? As I've said previously, I'd really like to give my boyfriend the greatest gift that he's ever gotten, and I know that a ticket to this show would be it. Anybody? Please?

07/18/09 8:27 PM

You know some guy in Indiana was able to give a live feed for the Indiana show about a month ago on some site-I wish I could remember-maybe one of you lucky people could feed us your video that night-I know I would be eternally grateful.

I'll look for the site

USTREAM maybe-you can do it if you hack your Apple Iphone 3GS or if you had one of those little HP computers

U would be everyone's hero!!!

If anyone looking to trade an extra ticket for one to another show is unable to make that happen, those of us who didn't get one at all would be eternally grateful for the chance to buy it.

Don't forget about us 'unlucky' bastards that didn't get one at all. Share the NIN - that's what Trent would want.

my birthday(yes sob story lol) is on 9/9/09 and it would be the best gift ever.

Having a birthday on 09/09/09 makes you The Most Devoted Fan Ever.

(I had my wedding on 9/9/99, but, alas, I wasn't born on that date, and I got heat for obliging other fans to miss the NIN appearance on MTV. I *was* born on the 99th day of the year tho', if that counts for something.)

So, once This Guy finds an extra Echoplex Ticket, if yet another extra Echoplex ticket turns up, LET ME KNOW!!!

thanks!

FYI - VERY IMPORTANT!

this venue is cool BUT - there's this winged wall that separates the front half of the venue and the back half (soundboard in middle). It's kind of hard to explain but take heed - if you are not in the front half you are FUCKED! The sound back there sucks and you can't see SHIT! Get there early and get a spot, my friends. I saw a Jane's warmup show there and it was awesome but if you were in the back section you may as well not have even been there. Not sure if this has been discussed yet but be warned!!!!
