We are all in for a treat. Ghostland Observatory are a crazed, electro-rock act from Austin that has been selling-out tour dates all over the country.

I saw them at a sold-out Austin Music Hall show last spring, and they absolutely destroyed the venue. They brought out the UT marching band to perform percussion on a song called "The Band Marches On." It was a spectacle.

I doubt they will do anything that outrageous in San Antonio, but they are known for their live act.

Trust me when I say that San Antonio has the BEST opening act on this leg of the tour. Ghostland Observatory are headliner material.

I AM STOKED!

10/16/08 11:03 AM

fuck yes! this will be sweet, Ghostland is awesome! and i have never seen them live.

i agree with Ochoa, SA has the coolest opening band of the tour. cool smiley

10/16/08 11:48 AM

they should have booked the SPAZMATICS!!!!!!!! HA

10/16/08 11:55 AM

hey, can't be much worse than a place to bury strangers was in dallas the finger smiley

then again, I wasn't feeling them. I wish we got does it offend you, yeah?

10/16/08 1:00 PM

I figured NIN would get some band from Austin to play at the SA show. Austin has a lot of good bands there these days.

I've never had the chance to listen to Ghostland Observatory...but its always great to hear a new band you've never heard of at a concert.

10/16/08 2:15 PM

Hey, its been a while since Ive posted on here! I cant wait for the show! Ghostland is a great band! I havent heard anything about the ticket info and where we will meet up to get our presale tix. Im always the paranoid type that thinks Ill get there and something will have happened and I wont be let in. Im just wondering if anyone has got any info on the presale tix besides that first email showing our order #.
BTW, this is my 7th NIN show! Hope to meet some of yall. Ill more than likely be going by myself, since my friend backed out on me.

10/16/08 3:09 PM

im driving down from houston

its going to be good

really fucking good

10/16/08 3:32 PM

show some boobages

10/16/08 4:32 PM

btw, think the band is gonna stay in a hotel downtown?

I can't think of any good places around the venue they'd stay at, and typically they check out the city they're gonna play. I know they were walking around dallas the night before, so I was thinking of being a loser and hanging out around the riverwalk the night before in hopes that maybe I'd bump into them.

worst case scenario, theres plenty of bars down there to drink at.

10/16/08 4:42 PM

Ill show u sum boobage and then sum for a pass!...And my guess would be the river walk marriott or the omni maybe they would be stayin @...And im down for hangin @ the river walk, to see if we can run in2 them...I say meet up down there, and go on a "find trent" adventure...Make it a Mission Impossible type of thing...im down

10/16/08 5:07 PM

theres actually a better hotel and a little more secluded in my opinion that they would probably stay at, I actually went to this place one nite, cause it has a nice bar, and saw J-LO, ( I'm not a fan i just saw her there), with marc anthony, and mario lopez ( AC SLATER Himself) on seperate occasions. Its on houston st. and its called Hotel Valencia. the name of the bar is V bar. its pretty classy joint. I'd say that a possibility for them to stay there.

10/16/08 6:18 PM

one week...

10/16/08 9:24 PM

so i just found out that my friend/ride to the show doesn't get off work until 4...and she lives a little less than an hour away from Austin. she's gotta leave straight from work to get me, then we go to the show in san antonio... fuuuuck

any suggestions? ;3;

what's the traffic like between austin and san antonio?? T___T

10/16/08 9:52 PM

5 o'clock traffic in austin, is fuckin hell, good luck getting down here to SA before 7

10/16/08 11:58 PM

Ok, I know I'm not the only one checking my email about 4 times a day so I can get this damn presale info, right?

yeah, I was thinking either valencia, or maybe the new hotel they built on market st and bowie (is that a hilton?). regardless, I'm willing to bet they'll be trolling around the riverwalk the night before.

Fuck yes. I was at the Austin Music Hall show too. It was one of the greatest experiences I have ever been apart of and from a band I consider to be very, very, very, indie.

Having Ghostland on the bill is making me get up from my sick bed and wanting to go out there to see them again.
