Amazing show to say the least. I was close to the end of the rail, on Robin's side. Everyone was so nice, the crowd, the security, and everyone else I encountered. I stood in awe once the drums to 1,000,000 kicked in, then finally got a hold of myself. Sound and visuals were fantastic, from 999,999 to In This Twilight. Reptile sent chills down my spine during the entire song, I am glad they chose to play this. The Great Destroyer was probably the highlight for me, and also Robin's guitar in The Warning, just simply amazing. This was my first Nine Inch Nails show, and I'd like to kick myself in the ass for not attending one earlier. I have been a fan for 10 or so years and this show lived up to everything that I ever imagined, and then some. Standing in the pre-sale line for hours in the hot sun wasn't bad at all like I had thought it out to be, everyone was very social and I had a great time talking to other fans. I hope the current line-up stays intact for a longggg while, nothing against past members, this line-up just clicks like no other. The energy from the band was awesome, not many bands this far in their career still perform with such drive and energy. I enjoyed White Williams, I really did, I had listened to a few songs prior to the show and I wasn't really feeling the vibe, but once they began their set I was really into them, took me by surprise. I also noticed Trent beside the stage, he was loving it. Everything was excellent. I have not one complaint. Thanks to the band for such an amazing show and performance, the sound and visuals were simply mindblowing. Thanks to the nice crowd around me, and also to everyone else that was involved! I will be seeing them again, soon.

Those post-show tingles have just about worn off now. Bah.

Last saw NIN in 95 in Inglewood with Bowie...waited way too long to repeat the pleasure.

Even my bellywarmer, who absolutely hates live concerts but who I nevertheless cajoled into going, had a great time, particularly during the Ghosts segment.

Thanks a lot for a great show, guys. It's been a personally hellish summer (at one point I'd nearly resigned myself to not being able to attend the show); this made me feel good, which hasn't happened for me in quite a while.

09/03/08 5:59 PM

It was an amazing show, I really wasn't sure what to expect but this being my third time seeing them it was my favorite. I was pretty much right up front and got some pics, but my camera kinda sucks, but it wasn't too bad. Reptile or God Given was probably my favorite.

And as for the people dissing on White Williams (which i had to rude ass frat kids yelling shit the whole time) I really enjoyed him, it is really hard for him to get that to sound amazing in such a big arena.

I've already got my tickets for Columbus Ohio. I'm excited. Wonder who he is going to have open this time around

09/03/08 7:04 PM

Well first of all I would like to say it was damn good show, I never been to an arena concert. And for someones most favorite and inspirational band to be so close to them, it just changed their life. I would have loved to meet the master mines, who wouldn't? But the honor was to hear them play live, to watch them play with passion. I was shocked how wonderful they kept up with things, nothing slacking, no miss notes (at least I didn't think so) It was jaw dropping, I never thought I could see you guys play and I was proven wrong.

My fellow friends and I were tired, shocked, and in total awe. I'm still happy and excited to realize I got to see 08/31/08 show. I am however though kind of disappointed in the pricing on the clothes, I did buy the lights in the sky tour shirt. Its no biggie honestly, but I would have killed for that jacket. Thank you guys for making my dreams, and hopefully later on you will play in south ohio/in ky.

first time seeing NIN, and it was all i expected and more.

me and my friend were originally seated to the very side, but we got relocated TO THE VERY BACK. douchebags at rupp. although it was very nice to hear Trent sympathize with us. some dude near us got busted for weed, which was ridiculous. event staff wouldnt shut off their damn flashlights either.

setlist was utterly amazing. i had looked over some from previous shows, and saw what i expected, but then at the show i heard the inklings of what i knew couldn't be. I was jumping up and down yelling REPTIIIIIIILE while everyone was still cheeringafter the frail (sent chills up my spine). so seeing reptile was probably the highlight for me

amazing show, right up there with tool in terms of visuals and tightness in the music and the white stripes for sheer energy

09/03/08 7:25 PM

I can't say anything about NIN. The shows are always great! White Williams on the other hand... I wanted to like them. Seriously, I just didn't get it. Their live product doesn't sound anything like their recorded stuff. I'd give them another chance, but it probably won't happen. They just need to present themselves as ARTISTS and not like high school talent show contestants.

this was my first NIN concert. i was standing in the pit with my fiance right in front of Robin; almost to the rail but not quite. i was a tad apprehensive because i didn't know what the crowd would be like. it really wasn't bad at all. we met some really cool people. the only thing was some douche bag standing next to me who kept elbowing me in the face (i wear glasses). grrr. but i expected that. March of the Pigs was by far the most intense song in the pit. during the chorus i was smashed up against everyone and had to keep my footing. my fiance did a good job of keeping his arms around me so i wouldn't be knocked over and even asked "are you ready?" right before the last chorus in March of the Pigs. i just laughed and said "yeah."

the visuals were amazing. i loved the way they matched every song and it's concept. Survivalism had great visuals... although the pseudo security cam in the bathroom showing some girl getting it up the ass was a little... cheesy. i don't know. maybe it's just me. Reptile had intense green lighting; great color representation. and i *loved* Only; the way Trent reappeared and disappeared through the lights was very cool. can you imagine the timing involved there? the memorization?

if i had to do it again though, i would get a seat next time because my view of the light show was altered in the pit. and i didn't bring my camera because i didn't think it was allowed.

Yeah, I did. That is one of the reasons I am so antsy for the rest of it. lol.

Definitely the best show of my life, thank you to the whole band and production crew for a fantastic performance. Got a spot on the rail close to the center.

Security was great (other than making us sit on the floor before the show...that was really lame). They were very good about giving us water...almost too good at times, because the fat security guard in front of me kept leaning on to me to give people water. I wasn't a big fan of having my head buried in his chest and armpit, but hey, no big deal. He was a funny guy.

Great setlist, I was glad to see some tracks I didn't get to hear at Lollapalooza or Chicago.

Trent looked me in the eye, nodded towards me and threw his tambourine at me after The Beginning of the End, but my tall friend next to me caught it, haha. I'm about 5'8", while he's about 6'4"...so I didn't stand much chance. Oh well, IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, RIGHT? Eh...

Also met some great people, nice talking to all of you!

Here's a pic of me and my friend, I'm obviously the shorter one:

Fragile Tour Has Been The Best So Far, But I Love All Of Them.

09/04/08 6:20 AM

I just have to say that this is my 4th NIN concert and my second in Lexington. This by far was the best I have seen. Each time my experiance just gets better. Looking forward to Columbus. Hope to see some of the folks I met in Lexington there. I was the guy with the sun screen in line at Lexington.

09/04/08 7:15 AM

I thought this show was great, I am a bit upset. I think I really messed up. I think I should have bought myself one of those GHOSTS T- shirts, the girly ones. I have looked all over for one on Google with NO luck. We bought the regular Lights in the sky tour shirt. If anyone could possibly know how to get one please let me know. will pay for it, my email is myspace.com/ninentity9. Anyway hopefully someone knows something I do not. thanks.

This was my 1st NIN show as well, and I was in awe the entire time.
Unlike many others here, I enjoyed White Williams, their music was spacey, dancey and fun. I really appreciate Trent for adding a virtually unknown artist to the show.

NIN was everything I could ever hope for. Amazing sound, beautiful lights, magic screen. I met tons of great people and was 1 person from the rail near Robin. my boyf took some photos: [flickr.com]

Got a Knowledge tee and 1,000,000 track jacket, easily making this the most expensive concert I've ever gone to.

09/04/08 11:35 AM

I thought it was funny when WW was onstage and the singer said something to the likes of, "This next song is a new one of ours, not that it matters because this is the first time most of you are hearing us anyways." Funny, sad, but true.

Throughout some part of the show, I noticed Alessandro kept turning over towards Josh and smiling/smirking. I didn't really catch why or what happened.

I also caught Robin smirking after the 'crazy lady' was caught and taken off stage. I think everyone was ready/expecting to see her pop her boobs out, i believe she just didn't know how swift the security was lol

throughout the show, I was in the pit about 7 rows from the front, making my way up to about the third row (not of my own accord, i was pushed and smushed forward i swear). Toward the beginning of the show this older guy in the pit wearing a trucker hat was trying to protect his gf in the pit from all the mashing and moshing (stupid), and I almost witnessed a fist fight go down between him and some kid, but other people from the pit held the two away from each other.

the only bad thing about the entire night was the slower-than-snail people at the merch tables. WTF! The only reason there was a line for merch at all was because it took them 10 minutes to get each person's stuff. That and some people didn't have their mind made up when they got up to the front.

Man, this show was incredible. Couldn't have asked for a better setlist (well, maybe a little more Fragile...), and the light show and screens were unbelievable. I was in the seats (boo), and I had a hard time seeing the screens at some times because of the funny angle, but it was still incredible. The screens during the Ghosts tracks were freaking cool, I just wish I could have been in the center so I could see them lined up. I have to say, 21 Ghosts III was my favorite of the night. I actually stopped moshing/dancing and just stood in awe. It was such a departure, and such an emotional moment for me. Seeing them all play the different instruments involved was cool as fuck too. Reptile, The Greater Good (Trents face fading in and out on the screen during this was one of the most badass things I've ever seen...), Wish (of course), and The Great Destroyer were other standouts for me.

The high from the concert has worn off now, and it's kind of starting to fade. I had to check the setlist to remember some of the songs they played... sad smiley Can't wait until the Nashville and Greenville shows!

Justin, it was super cool to see you come in here and apologize. You freaking rocked it dude, and you are a GREAT addition to the band.

As far as the girl getting on stage- I wonder how the band really feels about that? I know some of you mentioned seeing Finck laugh about it. I mean, she didn't touch anything or anyone, and didn't really mess anything up, but I can see how it could be a major problem having (probably drunk) people running up on the stage at shows... I wonder if the band thinks stuff like that adds to or detracts from the show????

09/04/08 12:21 PM

Just wanted to say that this show basically made my life. It's been my goal for years to get to a show and I finally made it to this one. It blew me away. I got stuck on the very side, but chose not to relocate. It was just as fantastic seeing EVERYTHING that was going on on and behind stage as I'm sure the video was. I also didn't think WW was all that bad. I actually kind of liked them. But then again; I've been told I have horrible taste in music at times. Take it for what you will. Regardless, the show was amazing.

09/04/08 7:04 PM

I was in section 34 with front row views of... the lights. It only irked me somewhat, especially since I knew it was Rupp Arena's fault and Trent let us know when we should change seats to see the Ghosts section.

I was truly amazed by the music. It was by far the best live performance I have witnessed. They had great energy and the setlist was impeccable. It reminded me why I love Nine Inch Nails so dearly.

White Williams wasn't really a crowd-mover, but I enjoyed them all the same. The drummer is very talented and I love how he stood up to play! Their songs were memorable and distinct.

09/04/08 7:12 PM

This show was amazing, definitely better then the 2006 show (although that was still great) My favorites were Survivalism, Piggy(Ghosts), Hurt, and The Great Destroyer. I really hope Moke comes through and posts this show and if we're really lucky hopefully he'll post the 06 show as well. He said he posted it on Kazaa but no one seems to have ever gotten it.

09/04/08 7:51 PM

This show was incredible. I had seats in section 13 row E. As soon as Josh started pounding the drums on 1,000,000 I was pumped with an indescribable feeling of crazy energy. I really enjoyed watching Robin play. He kills on the guitar. The whole band had great energy all night. They looked like they were really enjoying themselves.

The crowd had great energy also. I met some really nice people in the pre-sale line. It was cool chatting about past shows and the current tour. The drunk girl that ran up on stage came back up the stairs past me. I don't know how she made it back over to our side after being caught by security.

Personal highlights were Reptile and The Great Destroyer. The raw emotion and energy in reptile never fails. TGD breakdown was perfection.
The are no words to describe the visuals. The video postings do not do it justice. You have to see it with your own eyes. It's like a visual orgasm.
The ghost's set was very well played. I like how diverse the band is, in playing different kinds of instruments.
The re-worked version of Piggy added a nice touch to a classic, and the debut of TBOTE for this tour (correct me if I am wrong) was a nice surprise.
I lmao when Trent said Ally was a fucking asshole because he just quit smoking 6 days ago.

Overall, one of the best shows I have ever seen. I can't wait to see them in Columbus and Fort Wayne in November. Already have my Columbus tickets. Hope to see you guys and gals there.

09/04/08 8:18 PM

This was my first NIN show and it wont be the last! The set-list and visuals was all I hoped for and more! Thanks NIN for putting your heart and soul into this performance I'll never forget!

Can't wait for Halloween in Nashville!

The show was without a doubt incredible. However, I saw a picture of the setlist torn from the stage and it had Starfuckers Inc. listed on it. That blew my mind that 1. It was even considered the other night and 2. They didn't play it. Does anybody know why this happened? I still got my face rocked off and everything but damn, he almost played a song I have been trying to hear for years.
