I think JMJ saved discipline when Robin's guitar broke.
Loved the set list today more than the one last night in WPB, I love surprises...

05/09/09 9:14 PM

this was my first time ever seeing nin. i really hope its not the last.. thank you trent, for making my night with "i don't want this" and "the frail". i will probably never meet you, and you might not read this, but you make everything fucking worth it. all this stupid shit.. all the trying and failing.. thank you.

05/09/09 9:18 PM

i can't fathom the level of bitching and complaining from the WPB thread, but i'm very much sold after two shows. i never in a million years thought i would hear "Physical" live hear or "Now I'm Nothing" again. this is a fan's tour and i'm seriously reconsidering hitting more shows. i thought six would be enough for this tour - but that's not bloody likely.

i didn't make the rail and ended up dead center after "Piggy" but i managed to snap some shots while TR was in the crowd... we'll see how they turn out later in the week.

anyhow, i'm looking forward to being able to stay through Jane's full set tomorrow... not to mention what other tricks NIN will pull out of their hat.

05/09/09 9:35 PM

Another great show. TDS, I Do Not Want This, Now I'm Nothing(!), Le Mer and a great "Hurt" encore. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks to NIN, SSSC and JA, my face is melted! AWESOME show, except for some of the lame asses sitting around me. SSSC kicked MAJOR ASS!

05/09/09 9:58 PM

Amazing...more detail tommorow.

Some pics as well.

05/09/09 10:01 PM

I first saw NIN at a club in Orlando on the pretty hate machine tour and was blown away. Next time was at Lollapalooza (the first one) with Jane's Addiction. I have seen them five more times and tonight I felt compelled to write to you, Trent (I know you read these). Thank you. Watching you singing tonight "I want to do something that matters", I couldn't help but write to you. It matters to me. You have given me some amazing memories and I can't wait to see what you do next. Thank you very much, man.

To all those ticketholders for upcoming shows...you will be pleased.

05/09/09 10:12 PM

Awesome as always. Really impressed with the set list in that they switched it up big time from last night. Great show. Glad I came down for it!!

Edit: Thumbs up on ... Lights in the Sky (finally), I do not want this, Sin, Non-Entity and the Downward Spiral. Special treats were had on a great night...

The bad part about switching up the set list ... looking forward to a few songs that didn't happen. Hope to catch some of those next time...

Amazing show. Setlist was great, lots of surprises. I filmed Now I'm Nothing and Terrible Lie. I'll post it and some pics tomorrow.

05/09/09 10:22 PM

Awesome show tonight. I was one of the presale people, and when I was in line at around 4 I heard the sound checks and rehearsals, and we heard him do "Something I Can Never Have". I was hoping he'd do it in the show, but it was nice getting to hear it, even if it was across the stadium.

The one thing that shocked me was the complete lack of moshing or anything like that. I was talking about it with my friends, and the only real thing I can come up with is that since cameras are allowed, and so many people had them, no one wanted to risk breaking them by slamming into people.

SSSC was excellent too.

05/09/09 10:36 PM

The show lived up to all the hype. NIN was excellent as usual, & it was great to hear some rarities & experience a set that was so different from the LITS tour.

I thought Jane's had a killer set as well. I was a little skeptical going in whether they could match NIN, but they definitely delivered.

I will be doing all I can to try & catch another stop on this tour.

05/09/09 10:37 PM

Fucking amazing show. The set list rocked my face off and I met some rad people. I had a ton of fun via the app and posting pictures for the people tuning in from afar.

God damn shame I paid well over $100 for a pit ticket to be annoyed by complete fucking assholes. You want to mosh, mosh. You want to rock out, rock the fuck out. When your priorities are smoking cigarettes in the pit during NIN, having entire conversations about what so and so is up to, or having your eyes closed during the entire NIN set.... You can go fist fuck yourself dead. I'm there to shake it, rock out, get moshed on, and live it up.

I guess I'll wave goodbye to these issues along with NIN.

*sniff sniff*

05/09/09 10:43 PM

This show was pretty much as amazing as I had hoped. The light show wasn't as fuckawesome as Lights In The Sky but the performance was perfect nonetheless. Trent was right, shit never stops breaking tongue sticking out smiley I'm really glad I forked up the cash for a pit ticket.. I don't think I could've had it any other way.

Street Sweeper was pretty awesome. I was kinda skeptical after Health last year.. but I was pleasantly suprised. Definitely going to keep an eye on them! Janes Addiction is a band I had never even heard of, but I'm also really feeling them. Too bad they probably also won't be around after this tour. (or so I hear)

I'm really sad to think this is my last NIN concert... gonna miss NIN and Trent a lot =( Hopefully he'll keep some projects going.

05/09/09 10:49 PM

Street Sweeper Social Club was great.

Nine Inch Nails were incredible.

Jane's Addiction was amazing.

Well worth the money.. wish I would have had the sets recorded.. some asshat jumped rows and kicked my flash recorder.. I guess that's the price you pay at a show.. I think SSSC is still on the recorder.. NIN, no. I'll link it if it I can get anything off here.

If anyone has audio / video please post it.

05/09/09 10:53 PM

I was RIGHT THERE when Trent jumped into the crowed. I'm not going to lie, I felt up his stomach and liked it. Don't judge.

It was a great setlist! FAR better than Lights in the Sky!

Agreed!

The guy behind me was a dick though. He kept drumming along with the song on my back before punching me. Ooow.

Oh and about the camera policy, I think it is cool what they are trying to do with the whole "open and sharing!" thing but kinda annoying. Some guy had some big ass camera next to my face, so for me it was basically stay still or get smashed in the face with a heavy camera. Luckily, I got away from him later in the show!

Here's the MP3 of the Street Sweeper Social Club set from tonight.

[robbfladry.com]

I'll keep it up there as long as I'm not asked to take it down.

Sounds pretty good. Recorded on a Zoom H2 (that I'm not sure works anymore) with the standard mic.

I'd have the NIN set if someone didn't kick the recorder. If anyone knows how to make a Zoom H2 file come back to life, please let me know. It says invalid file and shows up as 0 kb. I don't know if it can be saved..

05/09/09 11:05 PM

Someone knows the setlist plz?

I've been a huge fan for a couple years now and never been able to make it to a show (too young). I was extremely disappointed today to say the least. Couldn't afford a 120 dollar pit ticket (that's ridiculous), worst venue I've ever been to it had atrocious acoustics. Not to mention the concert was a NINE INCH NAILS concert, not Jane's Addiction, so why weren't they headlining? We left a little late to get there and not have to listen to JA because we all dislike the band and end up missing the first half of the NIN concert. We payed 60 dollars each for 50 minutes of a mediocre show filled with the songs I skip over on the CDs because they are so uninteresting. Either mediocre radio hits or boring EP songs, at least Metal or something would have been a decent B-Side to play. Very upset the last NIN show I will probably ever get to see was honestly the WORST show I've ever been to. I did like the performances of the good songs though, sounded great!

05/09/09 11:53 PM

when he played the frail, does anyone know if the piano part was done on a midi controller with a sound module, or an electric piano? and if you know.. what brand?

05/09/09 11:55 PM

first off fucking great show i have seen nin 13 times and this ranks as 2nd best i have ever seen from him. The best was my very first nin show. Trent gave us his all and then some from the start his energy was fucking awsome. Set list was great and his surprise with i do not want this was amazing. Just want to thank trent for the 20 years he has given us and to let everyone know that trents music has helped me make it through the rough part of life. Ill miss going to nin concerts but i wll atleast make another one or two before he is done. Thanks for everything Trent!

NIN/JA nine inch nails, then janes addiction.

I personally was a bit disappointed when NIN left the stage, it seemed like they only did a few songs before leaving(they did 20 though) Anyways after words staying with Janes addiction was fucking badass, a lot of energy and yeah I can kinda see why trent decided to let them go last. I thought they were fucking great, sex is violent had a badass natural born killers background and everything. In my opinion you probably would have had a better time if you A) got their on time and cool smiley didn't have a hate stick up your ass and actually tried to listen. I think anyone could have enjoyed JA if they wanted to(and from teh reaction of the crowd and encore they did) next concert you go to try not to hate everything before giving it a chance.

I honestly hope JA puts that show on a live dvd, if not guess bootleg.

However I gotta ask... Did JA happen to get the better end of the NIN lights, or are all their concerts like that?

I think they each had their own lights.. and JA had a monster projector.

I wouldn't have took that BS. Its bring a camera at your own risk, any dumbass who brings a fucking huge camera deserves to get elbowed especially if he isn't being considerate about it. I don't care what the policy is no one deserves to have a worse tiem at their expense.

I feel ya though, some twats were talking EXTREMELY loud during lights in the sky, then I turn around and see they were talking about taking a picture with their cellphones, then they kept yelling " play head like a hole"

It's like, oh no don't bother trying to be quiet, after all its only the first time reznor played that song live, and its only his LAST FUCKING TOUR. I gave those bitches the dirtiest look... they slowly stopped talking as loud but still were being kinda rude...I was ready to skull fuck someone for real.

Got my first NIN CD in 1992 but this is my first live show. Fucking blew me away, was amazing from beginning to end. I thought it was great that they didn't just play the popular radio stuff and hearing some songs that haven't been played live since the early '90s was a gift. I took a lot of photos, but unfortunately was way back in row X so most of it is through a 300mm lens.

Can someone please tell me what parellel universe I am living in where NIN, the GREATEST band around today, opens up for Janes Addiction, and also announces that it is their farewell tour? I am aware now that Trent announced this prior to the show, but goddamnit man, a little bit of a louder heads up woulda been nice. I want to sit in a dark room and sleep until Trent tells us he was only kidding. NIN gave an excellent performance, "I do not want this", "Wish" and "Physical" were the gems of the set in my opinion. It was cool to see "Lights in the sky" for the first time ever as well. But really, I am just so fucking blown away that I will never see my favorite band live ever again and that they opened up for anyone, much less Janes Addiction. WTF???

Ninth time seeing NIN. Was a lot like the first time (With Teeth warm up tour). Great setlist. LITS tour would have made a good curtain call, but this is a nice way of tying up loose ends, kind of going out with a bang
