What moshing? I was in the pit about three rows back with my husband, and I witnessed two attempts to start moshing during the entire night. One fizzled quickly (probably yours), and the other was immediately quenched by security who dragged the poor guy out.
WTF?!? I moshed straight through the 90's when people left shows bloody but completely exuberant from the excitement. It felt like Naziville in the pit. I was afraid to touch anybody around me! Every show I've been to the past few years from FF to MSI to NIN has included no moshing AT ALL! People get pissed when you try to get something started, and security drags the moshers out like criminals. WTF?!?
Tis a shame. Not as much fun as it used to be. How can you NOT mosh during March of the Pigs? It just ain't right! What's the point of a pit if we just stand around like zombies while Trent and his band have all the fun?
About the show, though, it was great. There's something special about New Mexico, and I think the bands picked up on it last night. Trent gave us a great show with loads of great songs, although I would have liked more from YZ since I've already seen most of the others he played live in past shows. I can't listen to "In This Twilight" without thinking of "Two Suns in the Sunset" by PF. Is it just me?
TOOL might come to Albuquerque? I'll pray for it. That would be awesome!
