still no audio of this?
just curious.

i have some decent video to eventually get online, i just need to get a new firewire cable.

but damn i would love to hear an audio version of the show.
i've been watching every angle possible on 'the becoming' i never get tired of it.

Jones Beach group pics are up. [bit.ly]

Damn. I should have skipped this part of the M&G. I always freeze in some retarded position when someone pulls out a camera and end up looking like a beached whale or the last kid off the short bus or both. Oh well. At least the M&G and the show were awesome! Enjoy.

And thanks for being nice to us, Keely!

Pics are here [bit.ly] (unedited).

I think I circled Jones Beach Theater six times before I finally found the parking lot. Navigating the little parkways all doubling back on themselves was a like a test of faith.

The meet & greet was weird and short but fun. I was in the second group of $300 folks. I had totally planned to be cool and memorable but I ended up just asking the guys to sign my busted LN ticket and then spouted a bunch of banal nonsense that went something like "awesome" mumble "thanks" mumble "excited" shuffle "have a good show." Also, I was too chicken to ask anyone for a hug. Oh well. *squeeze* Long distance hugs for everybody!

My line buddies were hilarious and they made the baking heat and all the hurry-up-and-wait bearable. (Though I did not see any noogies out of you guys later. V. disappointing!)

Loved the NIN soundcheck! That made my day. (And thanks to SSSC for playing an encore at theirs. They were unexpectedly awesome.) Finally, the NIN show was one of the best I've ever seen and prompted me to drive to MD two days later to see them again. (I did stay for part of JA in NY but left halfway through wanting to hold on to that NIN sound a little longer).

I didn't take many pics of the show itself 'cause I was too into it to stop & get my camera, but I did take a bunch of the meet & greet folks, the soundcheck, the venue, and the superstar who sang Mountain Song for JA's soundcheck (\m/)

Hi, guys! Nah, that's cool. I'm sure it would have been hard to give anyone a noogie through all those tears anyway. And there's nothing wrong with crying like a little girl. Don't let anyone tell you differently. *waves*

To All Who Filmed The Show (more specifically 'The Becoming')

I have a very close, 16:9, front and center angle of the song that I'm interested in editing multi-cam with some other angles. I've seen some stuff on YouTube so I'm hoping that you guys are on here as well. If you'd like to swap the raw footage of The Becoming please reply or email me at xiavdix@hotmail.com.

Also, this show was fucking amazing.

Don't support that crap. If he is trying to sell that for a profit he is a fool! If you want one just wait until we get our hands on most of the footage from the show.

Notes:
Out of all the shows I have seen on this tour its very hard to rate which show is the best because there are so many good ones to choose from. This show in Wantagh was a pretty epic show. I have never been this close to the front at a concert before (7th row) and the sound here at Jones Beach was incredible. I have seen pictures of this place before but this place owns every Amphitheater on the east coast by far. This is my 2nd best recording on the tour, first is Bonnaroo then JB then Clarkston. There is little to no crowd noise and its sounds great on the headphones/monitors. NIN pulled out a lot of energy during this show, during Terrible Lie at the end the whole band goes nuts and TR just tomahawks the hell out of his micstand (or attempts to). During the Becoming Robin's guitar feed goes out throughout the whole song and at the end of the song he totally DESTROYS his acoustic guitar and just walks off like a badass. I like the Now I'm Nothing-Terrible Lie intro but nothing can beat the Somewhat Damaged intro. You can hear my Uncle and I at the beginning just so totally jacked for SD at to start the show off. We talked about hearing it all day and we got it!!! The video is just great. I think I have watched it already twice today and I cannot be happier with how it looked. Unfortunately it went from HD footage down to SD so that it can fit onto a Dual Layered DVD. I still think the quality is up there though. I took the audio from my R09HR and synced it with the video because of the fact the audio from the video is totally blown out from being so close. One drawback from having a camera with a hard drive is that if there is a massive amount of vibration it will automatically shut off. That is what happened during "March of the Pigs" and "The Downward Spiral" so do not freak out when the video suddenly goes black, its only for about 15 seconds or so and then WERE BACK! I hope everyone enjoys the DVD. I know I will watch this again and again. Take care.

Ryan
