The show was simply amazing! Thank you Trent and crew. What a bittersweet end to the show with Head Like A Hole... the band was so into it, the crowd was so into it. I'm really at a loss for words...

/waves goodbye

awesome energy from the band tonight. They sounded great. Trent said next time nin agrees to play first, they'll check the almanac to see when the sun goes down.

I don't know the setlist but soundcheck was tbote banged and blown thru, and in this twilight which brought tears to my eyes.

Highlights from the show for me: somewhat damaged, metal, wish, I'm afraid of Americans and really the whole fucking show was amazing.

I am sunburned. My feet hurt and I smell awful but I had a great fucking time. Thank you nine inch nails for an amazing day.

glad i was able to make one show from this tour. unfortunately i missed the lights in the sky tour... watched from the center of the lawn and had an amazing time. i was a big wuss and started crying during the fragile. definitely a bittersweet moment. hope that trent comes back after he's had a sufficient break. even if it's a few dates here or there.

AMAZING!!!! I was hoping they would play Home and Non-Entity and sure enough they did! I was 5th row from the rail which was WAY better than I thought my seats were going to be. I thought the crowd had great energy. SSSC was great and of course NIN's was fucking awesome. Trent had amazing energy and really gave it to the crowd tonight. I was sad I could not stay for Janes, but due to a recent illness I could not stay out that long. Anyway...I will try and post pictures later, right now my head is pounding and I am exhausted. As always....I had the time of my life and I am so thankful they came through here!!!! Thank you Trent and Co. for an amazing night =) You will be missed!

ps- did anyone else see the man in section 1 row N who was literally like 70 years old. Fucking bad ass! He was getting his groove on with his wife. It was awesome.

06/12/09 10:11 PM

Oh yeah sound check started with the frail/the wretched. I'll write more when I'm not dead tired.

wow after a 2 1/2 hour drive and tailgating for 2 hours to hear the amazing sound check
had amazing lawn seats right at rail so much better than i expected the view to be the lawn crowed was packed and fun as hell. SSSC far surpassed my expectations definitely gonna get the cd. TRULY INDEF,tomorrow but in exhausted now, surprised i have the energy to be online right now, left after NIN not a big janes fan.

I had a downward spiral shirt and LITS hat and kinda chubby and sun-burnt if anyone saw me!

Awesome show! I don't believe it's over. I'm not going to lie - I cried a little.

06/12/09 10:38 PM

pulled into the parking lot to hear head like a hole being done at the soundcheck. follwed by the wretched and the beginning of the end, great music for standing in line smiling smiley cant remember what else was played but thankfully the rain stopped just as we were pulling in. So much energy tonight, so many songs i really wanted to hear, including burn and the downward spiral. killer setlist, VermiciousKaknid seems to have it all. I want to say there was more, but i cant think of whats missing. need sleep. need more live nin...

06/12/09 10:44 PM

Yeah hi. I was on the stage tonight with Trent Reznor. That is all. smiling smiley

06/12/09 10:46 PM

Fucking awesome. Met some interesting people and some huge assholes, but will update later when I'm not a zombie.

I finally, finally, finally got to hear The Fragile live. A decade of wishing comes to a close and so does a chapter.

awesome show, SSSC was great, NIN of course, unbelievable, and Jane's was outstanding. Anyone who left during Jane's missed out big time. If you don't like Jane's, then you're stupid.

Sanctified, you forgot Hurt.

What an amazing show! It was such a special experience to be there and share with everyone else. I had a great spot for the lawn, I was towards the right, right on the rail, the kid with the Alice In Chains shirt and the long sweaty hair!

So beautiful. So sad to see it come to an end.

06/12/09 11:14 PM

Tonight has been the best night of my life...hurt brought tears to my eyes...I am really at a loss for words to even begin describing the show...throwing the mic to us in the croud during piggy was def. a highlight..it was incredible to be able to sing like that in front of so many people, i hope everyhone had fun and goodnight.

06/12/09 11:48 PM

I can't believe I'm flying back home tomorrow afternoon. I can't believe how fast this whole VIP experience was.

I'm sunburned like a mo fo....exhausted like many are right now....and am just too damn tired to go into many details. After 20 years, I get to mark off a "To Do" on my To Do List in Life. I fucking met Nine Inch Nails. And to make it even better, I got to help #Eric. Which makes this whole experience even more special to me.

Thanks to everyone I met today. I'll do shout outs later this weekend. Ya'll are awesome as hell!!! Thanks for everyone wearing the <3 #ERIC buttons that I bought. I wish I would have bought more (I only bought 100).....sorry to the peeps that didn't get one.

A big THANK YOU to the NIN crew for dealing with us VIP'ers - especially while on stage. And a big THANK YOU to Trent & Co. for 20 awesome years...and for helping #Eric out....and for giving US this opportunity to help #Eric out.... plus have a once in a lifetime opportunity (at least for me) of meeting ya'll.

Goodnight all!!! Have safe travels!!! Dee

06/12/09 11:53 PM

I was in the pit, right up at the very front. What an amazing show... loved it. I am really gonna miss NIN.

06/13/09 12:31 AM

just fucking amazing! incredible setlist, amazing energy, sad its over...
no trent, thank YOU!

06/13/09 2:08 AM

Can we talk about how hard Street Sweeper Social Club fucking KILLED IT?!?!

I was expecting them to be good. I was not expecting to be as amazing as they were. Holy fuckin' shit.

PS: I met a lot of really cool people today/tonight. I was just the tiniest bit right of center, and one person behind the rail. There was a big dude next to my left with his girlfriend; if you guys are on here, it was nice meeting you guys and you were both really cool. Everyone else I met in line or during meet and greet waiting - Bobbie, Sawyer? Which users are you guys? - was really cool as well. I don't think I even met any assholes today, so thanks to all of you for being great people to wait out the day and enjoy the show with.

Shit. I haven't eaten in at least 24 hours. What's open around here at the wee hours??

06/13/09 1:09 AM

3:00 am...just got home...like many others i'm very tired, my feet are blistered, and my hair is still soaking wet (still!) so tomorrow i'll try to post some good pics i took that i just need to re-size/crop/etc.
Awesome show!! This is probably the last concert i'll ever go to - unless Trent ever decides to tour again smiling smiley
My only complaint - it was not loud enough!!!
Guess i'm not so eff'n old after all!winking smiley

That was my second show on this tour. After the first one It hit me that I would never see nin live again. So I book a flight last nite and said fuck it, if this is it for nin, im gonna see as many shows as I can. NIN has been my favorite band since i was 9 and Other kids were listening to garbage like new kids on the block. I started "borrowing" my big sisters nin cd's after I saw closer and the perfect drug video. He has a very dark side to him that I relate to. Anyway, fucking mind blowing show, If I have the time and money Im followin the tour to europe. Used new camera today and it rocks...Its not that fancy but i got the best pictures Ive ever taken! It can handle the demanding lighting which is esential in that crazy light storm. Canon powershot sx10is ...great camera esp zoom and ISO about 300$ but worth every penny cause its easy to use!

06/13/09 2:54 AM

We drove 5 hours there from VA Beach for this show and drove straight home after. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. My friend flew from Illinois to make the trip with me. It was pretty epic on the lawn. My second show, an was just as impressed with the bands energy

06/13/09 3:17 AM

What an amazing show! Meet and Greet was awesome, soundcheck was awesome, SSSC was awesome, setlist was friggin killer, this trip made up plenty fold for the Lakewood/Atlanta fiasco. Great job and thank you to everyone who made this possible!

06/13/09 7:53 AM

Finally up and showered and my ears are still ringing.

The whole experience last night was just great. From avoiding the long lines to get into the venue with the pre-sale special entrance to the great seats three rows back off of the rail -- The wife and I had a great time.

I was ready to enjoy SSSC but they blew me away. My wife had heard a few clips I've played and was going in with more of a "meh" mentality. She wants me to get their album on Tuesday. smiling smiley They absolutely rocked. What a great way to open the show and I think we're going to check them out when they start their own tour.

We're both a little bummed it was our last NIN show. I'm thrilled I got to hear "Metal", "I'm Afraid of Americans", and "The Fragile". I would have liked to hear "Mr. Self Destruct" and "Heresy" but I still thought the setlist was great. I really enjoyed seeing the "stripped down" version of NIN. We were on JMJ's side of the stage and he was really having some fun with the crowd -- Completely playing the "Rock Star" part. Trent looked like he threw all the energy he had into the show and the crowd seemed to feed off of it. It was a much better crowd then the Greensboro show for LITS.

Jane's Addiction was much better than I thought they'd be. I really wanted to see them but I didn't want them to sound bad. The only downside of the JA performance was the three meatheads who came out of nowhere and ended up in the row in front of us. They didn't stop pushing, hugging, grabbing each other's nipples and asses, high-fiving, swinging their shirts around the entire time. I don't think gay porn has more nipple and ass grabbing than these guys did last night. I've never seen that at a NIN show. I guess they were JA fans. Section 3, Row K, seats 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Yeah, you. You cleared out everyone around your row because nobody wanted to be next to you. Other than the meatheads, JA put on one hell of a show. Extremely entertaining.

I took over 400 photos last night and will eventually tag them for nin.com once I get home and go through them.

Thanks Trent & Co. It was a great 20 yesars.

06/13/09 6:54 AM

Here are the pics I uploaded them this morning, whew what a night I am still tired but a good tired. I had a blast I got to hang backstage for about 4 hours and talked a lot with the band they were very nice!

Okay - got some sleep and now prepared to talk about the whole experience (good parts and bad parts)

The good parts: Nine Inch Nails. The whole thing. I don't know how I got so lucky, but when they filed all the pit people in from the north entrance, I managed to tuck myself into this one little gap amongst a few girls, right on the rail, right in front of Trent Reznor. I wasn't *touching* the rail, but for all intents and purposes, I was right there. Hell, I could see Robin's eyeliner (and boy does he have a hand with that stuff). So I was super pleased with my spot, especially considering we got there at 3 pm yesterday.

The performance, I felt, was four guys giving their all. The heat in NC can be oppressive and I can't imagine doing what they did in that. Insane. I have wanted to hear "The Fragile" for a decade now and I finally got to (this was only my 3rd show), and it basically signaled the end of an era of some stuff I've been dealing with and finally coming out of for the past year or so. I almost cried, but I held it together.

SSSC was awesome - I LOVED Tom Morello's energy and Boot's little dances. I couldn't believe how well they handled the, um, technical difficulties, also.

Overall, despite a few people trying to make the entire concert about them ("Well, we go to ALL the concerts and JT will take care of us" hahaha), I had a fabulous fucking time and couldn't have had a bigger privilege to be at a closing (non-festival) show for a farewell tour. It was worth the money and the sweat, absolutely.

The Bad: Why are there always freakish superfan weirdos that have to try and make it all about them?

In case anyone was wondering, that girl with the really tall husband who was at the VERY BEGINNING of the line to pick-up pre-sale tickets (not the first line, the OTHER line - the correct one)...THAT was me. And I don't really get why "Pigtails" and "Funbags," as we began calling them were just staring me the fuck down for an hour, until Pigtails comes up and tells us "Well, we got here at 7 am yesterday morning and (insert random "blah-fucking-blah" here)...JT is gonna sort everything out so that you're at the back of the line where you belong."

Ya know what? I got there at 3 pm yesterday and I was essentially half a person back from the rail, front and center, and if you have a problem with that, you can just cry me a fucking river, build a bridge, and get the fuck over it cause that's YOUR f-ing fault for being a stupid person with way too much goddamn time on their hands. It's not my fault I have a real job and couldn't logically get to the venue until 3 pm and STILL got a top-notch spot in the pit.

That's all.

OMG! Amazing show. Got lots of pics!! Will get them up when I get home!! Met some awesome people too!!!

06/13/09 7:42 AM

The show was ok; I love NIN but was very disappointed to see them at second billing. We left before JA because we have absolutely no interest in seeing them (which is why we just got cheap lawn instead of springing for real seats). Was also disappointed at the poor turnout of freaks; I was hoping to get some good photos smiling smiley Oh well! The night was not a total bust but definitely not as great a show as 2006.

And on a side note, if people want to post that they didn't like the show then this is the proper place to do it and that's a completely valid point of view to have. It's not like we're saying we hate the band or anything. Be pissed off if you want, but the interwebs is all about varying opinions.

I will try to post some of the photos later (they're all from the lawn, and of fans)

smiling smiley

06/13/09 7:48 AM

anyone who left during janes missed a great show. perry is one the best performers i've seen. he was even better last night than the atlanta show.

anyway - here's a pic of the last group of $300 people during the EDLC meet and greet. trent's wearing the glasses in this one!
