It's possible he might release a bulk of videos from several shows at the end of the tour. That would be pretty cool grinning smiley

I'm really looking forward to the footage. I was kinda hoping for a Wave Goodbye tour DVD but it doesn't look likely does it?

I was so excited when I first noticed Rob filming at the gig. I was 3 rows from the front and I waved like a maniac because the camera was pointed at me.

At the time it seemed the right thing to do. Now I'm not so sure. Bet I look a right fool. grinning smiley

I don't think a DVD is going to happen but I am expecting a fair amount of footage to be put on youtube of the wave goodbye tours.I remember reading, on here I think, that the last chicago/NY/LA shows are going to be recorded released onto the web.

Yeah I remember seeing him for a few songs with the camera - haha If the footage does surface I reckon you'll regret the frantic waving. I always feel sorry for the people singing intensely at the barrier on gig DVDs totally unaware of the cameras presence.

This was my 5th NIN show, all others have been in Australia.

I have never sat down at a gig before and unfortunately on this night I was what felt like a million miles away making it a little hard to get into it. I also would have loved to of heard a few more tracks from The Slip (Head Down, Echoplex, or Letting You) but still a brilliant show.

I posted areview with some pics and pretty crummy videos(call it the view from a far) on http://bawley.blogspot.com

PS: Thanks for the bootlegs and I look forward to seeing the multi-cam video when it is all finished.

08/13/09 3:42 AM

Looking forward to the multi-cam video too.

Yeah, I was also wondering about Rob's videos, and his pictures. They are passing through nin.com but not going into the images section. I saw 4 gigs on this tour but don't have any high quality shots of them! Want!

By the way, did anyone else notice Mariqueen up the front at the O2? She was standing in the security pit taking pictures of her beloved during Metal and Hurt. She's NICE, Trent's done well... (obviously).

I'm extremely late in posting, but what an absolutely phenomenal concert!

Mew and Jane’s were brilliant, but NIN for me started the night. Going from Now I'm Nothing to Terrible Lie was amazing, and will go down as my favourite opener for a band!

Thanks for the concert guys!

Aaaargh I accidentally deleted the multi-cam video of March of The Pigs from YouTube, losing the view count and ratings in the process, but have re-instated it here - [www.youtube.com]

I have also just uploaded 1,000,000 here - [www.youtube.com]

and Reptile here - [www.youtube.com]

I've got a quietish week this week, which is not good financially but should give me time to crack on with a few more tracks. I'll hopefully get The Becoming done tomorrow and I'm Afraid of Americans by Wednesday or Thursday.....

08/26/09 3:01 PM

OK, 3 more added:

The Becoming
I'm Afraid of Americans
Burn

Next up is Gave Up, for which I can only find one video (Lone28) Has anyone got any additional footage of this song?

In the meantime I'll crack on with La Mer.... smileys with beer

Seems I'm taking a slightly different approach to footage selection and editing to what others might have done but it's comments like these that keep me going on what's a pretty big project thumbs up I'm about half-way now!

09/07/09 10:27 AM

EDIT: We really need a website or some sort of hub for all the footage from the whole tour with each event having it's own section. Just an idea if anyone knows how to set such a thing up!

Okay. I'm very late in posting but things have been mega-busy.

When I discovered NIN they were the only band I only ever wanted to see live. I took my friend Ric along with me and we stayed at the nearvy Travel lodge across the river.

The whole experience was unforgettable and I can still recall it in images and sounds in my head. I remember every little detail.

Mew were up first. I really liked them and had listened to some of their songs previously. They seemed a bit shy but that didn't bother me. It's weird because the lead-singer looks exactly like my friends brother!

Then Jane's came on. I knew about them and knew their history and knew some songs but not many. I knew I was lucky to get to see them and then boy was I blown away by them! I loved every minute of their set and as soon as they started performing I knew why they are held in such a high regard. Thank you Trent for bringing them along. It was quite funny as we were slightly to the side so we could see Dave and Eric just chilling for a bit behind the screen! Even though their setlist was great I love the live version Jane Says with the steel drum kits. I also distinctly remember Perry humping the drum kit, dave smashin the symbals and Perry hugging the security guard! By the time they'd finished it felt like we'd already paid more than the ticket price for what we'd seen. It felt like we had already seen a gig when the next break came.

Then the main event. This was my first NIN gig/concert and I knew kind of what to expect because I'd seen so many videos but it was nothing like I could have imagined. It was incredible. It was an experience that took in every part of me, my emotions. I remember tears rolling down my eyes during Hurt, La Mer and whilst singing some of my favourite words "I won't let you fall apart" with everyone I love in my mind. I heard the poetry and beauty of songs I never could quite imagine live, regardless of how many videos I'd seen. Everyone played so well and put every ounce of their being into it. We were situated about 3 rows from the fron on just to the right of Robin and the stage. I remember trying to make signs to the band by doing numerous thumbs up during the concert in hope that Trent or someone else would see that there was one exceptionally happy guy in the audience seeing his heroes of music in motion. When Trent first came on so non-chalently it was great. I couldn't quite believe that I was actually in the same room as him because all my life I've never really had the chance to see anyone I respect that much in the flesh. The voice that had sung to me through my headphones was now singing to me in the same room. Trent's voice blew me away. He had even more feeling, emotion, power and control live and it was incredible! The weird thing was seeing Nine Inch Nails perform was unlike any other band. It felt like they were old friends on stage enjoying what they do. Almost like I was in a small club watching friends perform on stage. There performance felt so inviting and warm. There were songs from all different eras of Nine Inch Nails and much like listening to an album, it felt like I was being taken on a journey of everything they had done. It was wonderful to see so many fans in the same room celebrating great music.

Oh and the extra addition of Gary Numan just felt like I was having an ice-cream sundae of greatness and then have extra syrup, sweets and cola on top of that. The ultimate treat.

I was filled with such a camaraderie as I walked out of the stadium with an army of people wearing NIN t shirts and other apparal. Everyone was just having a good time and for the first time I was at a music event where I felt relaxed by the crowd and felt like I could get on with any of them. Someone even picked up my wallet I dropped at the taxi rink when I lay back then got up and moved foward because I was so buzzing with excitement.

We even met a random guy from Belfast and ended up sticking with him throughout the whole gig and if for some chance you are reading this Mr Belfast, then hi!

It was absolutely unforgettable. I had a great time. The crowd was great. the set-list was superb. The band was unstoppable. Trent was a genius. My position was great. The technical side was great. Mew were great. Janes Addiction blew me away. NIN did even more so! Everything about my evening was perfect.

For me it was the perfect chance to get to say hello and goodbye to Nine Inch Nails in what will probably be the most fun I will ever have going to a gig/concert/show. I now know why they have such a great reputation for live shows. It was more than just a music concert. It was a great event, it was great, it was like watching a play or going to a theatre where you can respond. It was that amazing.

I remember me and my friend Ric were hoping to see Trent, Robin, Ilan and Justin perhaps wandering around London with our boyish optimisim because we had one thing in our minds to express: "Thank you for everything and may you lead fruitful lives."

Cheers for this Ginola! I managed to get this one to work perfectly with my pc. Thanks ever so much, now I can relive the experience again and also listen to my favourite version of Now I'm Nothing (For some reason I think it sounded better on this tour compared to other live recordings)

Also thanks to everyone who has made covers and artwork as well!

Hey all... Ok it has been forever since this gig, so i doubt many people will see this, but after getting my life back in order I finally got around to building a DVD of the video i filmed of NIN at the O2. I was stood front center. With only some short women i was trying to protect infront of me. I personally think the video came out ok, but unfortunately my video camera switched on in my pocket during Janes Addiction, so it wasnt at full battery, meaning i only got a small portion of the set. I also had to help someone out of the pit twice while filming (i am a big guy and its easy for me to pick people up) so that kinda interupted the filming. Anyways, i created a .ISO file for what i filmed and what the BBC showed of them at Reading and Leeds Festival. It also has a bunch of their music videos put on there as a bonus. If anyone wants to torrent it off me then just send me an email to

Kojiro12000@hotmail.com and just mention NIN DVD somewhere in the email or in the subject or something, and i will email you the torrent. I am not on any of the torrent sites so i cant upload it there, but i will email you back the torrent and you are perfectly welcome to put it on a torrent site. I will seed it for as long as i can (probably through to the new year) though i dont have the fastest bandwidth.

Wow not really making it sound appealing am i? hahaha... yeah well its there if you want it. I havent put these vids up on youtube either.

The tracklist of the London show is:
1. Now I'm Nothing
2. Terrible Lie
3. 1,000,000
4. Heresy
5. March Of The Pigs
6. Reptile
7. The Becoming
8. I'm Afraid Of Americans
9. Burn
10. Part of Metal (w/ Gary Numan) (but my camera had already died so its literally a 20 sec clip where i pan around to see everyone clapping along)

The Tracklist of the Reading show is
1.Only
2.Wish
3.Dead Souls (Joy Division cover)
4.The Hand That Feeds
5.Head Like A Hole
6.Hurt (and this is the best version of Hurt i have ever seen in my life)

and yeah a load of bonus vids... most of their music vids, plus happiness in slavery @ woodstock and beautiful people with M.M.

As i said if you want it then send me an email

kojiro12000@hotmail.com

Hopefully hear from you soon smiling smiley

P.S. the file is 7.96GB and designed to be burnt onto a dual layer DVD disc etc..

I know. I can't believe it.
Did you know that the urban dictionary says 'Post Gig Depression' can last up to a week?

They obviously don't know of the intensity of a NIN gig. I'm still depressed its over. I get snippets of my happiness back though from updates and reminders like these vimeos. smiling smiley

I really cherish the memory of that night.

Taking a looooong time in between other work but I got another couple of multi-cams up today:

The Big Come Down - [www.youtube.com]

Wish - [www.youtube.com]

I did The Downward Spiral as well (which came between those 2 in the set) but haven't uploaded that at the moment....

I've dropped the new Rob footage in there as well, so it will be included in the tracks that I haven't done yet, and in the final version of ones that I've previously uploaded

Getting there - there will be a full concert edit by xmas grinning smiley

Quick update - I have this afternoon finished the main edit of the whole gig - the last few tracks can be seen at [www.youtube.com]

In all it features footage shot by over 60 different people!

I'm not quite done though, as a couple of other clips have come to light since I did the earlier tracks so I have a few bits to integrate into the original edits but we're nearly there. I'm also hoping to bring in some of kojiro12000's footage if possible

Watch this space....

11/07/09 5:35 AM

Awesome, can't wait to see what you come up with. Any chance of a Torrent once you're 100% happy with it?

11/07/09 2:19 PM

Not sure of the best way of sharing this as torrents bring my internet connection to its knees (pretty sure they get throttled by BT) but tomorrow I'll have a nearly finished version that I'm going to test using yousendit, which is what I use for sharing video files at work. Once it's uploaded I'll have a download link which should be faster for people. If I reach the limit of what that will allow I might also try a direct link from my website. And once people have got it I have no problem with it being torrented or shared in any other way by everyone else smileys with beer
