This show was ridicules and not necessarily in good way. I explain more later tonight when I get to a real computer.

08/22/09 10:13 PM

Yeah, so what about the 2 fat bitches in the back that bullshitted though out the whole set.

I'll expand right now until my phone dies. The barricade was a joke. Come on guys...seriously, a police barricade that didn't even hold? Not only did it give way and limit my ability to push back, but I had absolutely no room to push off. Todd's head was in the way of my arm and JT's feet were on the front of the barricade pushing the other way. I know that it was hard for them and that they did their best with it, but for those of us that paid for the show it was crap. It was more than disappointing in that aspect, but Trent ans Co. seemed to give it their all...I just wish I could have enjoyed it more. When I waited 31 hours it wasn't quite what I was expecting.

Anyone know the setlist from tonites show? Can you post it?

Folks, let's keep this posiive instead of bitch about every small annoying thig that happened to you tonight. This show was fucking AMAZING, end of story. Best one I've ever been to for sure. I stood behind the light dude rockin out in the balcony, Q and Trent came up during the Horrors and were very in love and very into the show. Awesome to see.

Thanks Trent, sad to see you go but excited to see what you do next.

On an up note, we did get "Dead Souls" and "Down In It." which I have been wanting to hear again.

@graphicrage sorry but those 'small' things put a damper on the show for me and made me leve disappponted in it, so forgive me if I fail to remain positive, but I should be able to express my view. Here is something positive, I hope that Webster Hall's show is better. It wasn't that the 'actual' show was bad, but the design of the barricade was atrocious. And I do realize that it only really affected two or three people, but still...

Great show. Great venue (so small). Worth noting: I counted five professional cameras set up as well as audio equipment to record the crowd. Blu-ray release I hope! Cameras were left and right balcony. Left and right of the crowd. And rear balcony.

Just got back from the show. No Perfect drug or We're in this together but mind blowing.
The Horrors were good, bass was a killer.
NIN had the crowd going from the first second Trent got on stage.
I am all bruised and tired but very very happy.
Many if not all the people waiting outside for an extra ticket got it, not sure how, maybe they paid at the door.
By the way, get your shirts and souvenirs as soon as you get to the place, as I heard some people saying even before the Horrors got on stage that many of the sizes were sold out already. The posters were awesome, but I wouldn't recommend buying one before the show, as you will get tossed around from the beginning.
Enjoy everyone!

I cannot tell you how or why they were let in, but I saw two guys out of the seven that I saw walking around asking for tickets outside standing right behind me before the opening act began. So don't buy from scalpers: Bowery had a separate line for people without tickets and I guess if you got there early enough you lucked out.

Either greatest or second greatest show I've seen (This or 94 Woodstock.).

Got there 6PM. got to the 2nd row. Great to see no barracade, surfers on the stage, etc-the good old days.

Too fucking bad that you waited 31 hours(totally pointless) and the crowd pushed and the barracade was weak... It was crowded. It was a Nails show, not sesame Street. Still it was no where near as rough as the early 90s, but it had that feel. Phenomenal energy and Trent seemed to be having too much fun to shut it down. So much better than the Ninja venues.Hell yeah.

See ya tomorrow.
Happiness in slavery one of these nights?

Great great night.Thanks Trent.

Wow, what an amazing show.

08/22/09 11:35 PM

what are you talking about barricade? to what?

08/23/09 12:01 AM

Dead Souls!

no longer my unicorn.
SRSLY, I have seen it on the printed set list for several of the shows I've attended this year, but not actually get played. Until tonight!

So, YAY! Finally!

Amazing to see NIN in such a small venue. And, yes, the barricade was distracting, even from the balcony, what with bodysurfers have no where to go but through Robin & Trent, up the stairs, and back out the stairwell. Considering the limitations of a small venue, I'm amazed it held up as much as it did. That the band didn't miss a beat while that was going on was pretty awesome.

looking forward to tomorrow's show! woot!

wow people are already bitching? Show was fucking awesome. Everyone was speechless afterwards. I busted my finger open while trying to hold on to the "barricade" but it didn't distract me from the awesomeness of DEAD FUCKING SOULS.

08/23/09 12:20 AM

What a fucking show, best NIN show I've ever been to by a million and I GOT A FUCKING TAMBOURINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was the one Trent threw into the crowd after the beginning of the end, he threw it to the middle, it bounced around and ended up on the floor right next to me, I quickly snagged it and it was honestly an amazing moment since me and my friend who goes to NIN shows with me always joke about getting one of trent's tambourine, once again a phenomenal show, Thank You to the kind couple who got me a poland spring a security guard was handing out, to the crowd for being just right and not too aggressive, to the 150 new followers of me on twitter just to read my set list tweets and to Trent and company for putting on such an amazing show in such an intimate venue

I was under a camera man. He said Bluray dvd coming.

Exhausted so a couple quick notes.

- I thought after gone, still the beginning of tds sounded like aathb. The "sound effects" that is.

-was hoping for a special guest(someone yelled out "bring out bowie" at some point and it was loud.

-Favorite part of the concert was a point where trent sang a bit of sicnh acapella.....WOW!

Wasn't thrilled with the setlist - hey! we are allowed to be honest - the encore was appreciated but anticlimactic.

MORE TOMM.....now off to bed

BTW was there a pair of panties hanging from the crowdsurfing girls HIGH heel shoes?

08/23/09 12:21 AM

My boy and I arrived at 8:10. Drank beer downstairs until about 8:45. Saw Robin at the bar. Did not say anything to him (what was I gonna say "have a great show"? of course he was going to.) Was about 15 rows of people back before they took the stage. The minute he started singing Somewhat Damaged, the entire crowd moved up about 30 feet. Now we were about 10 people from the front. We rocked the pit the minute a guitar was strum. Best show of our fucking lives. Everyone I had a chance to talk to was excited. Everyone on the subway/train home that we saw wearing a show specific wristband had the time of their life.

long story short: i'm glad I didn't wait in line for hours since my boy was able to still get 3 people away from the front by the end of the show. Also, they played fucking Last and Down In It. I can't believe ANYONE can come away from this show disappointed.

08/23/09 12:32 AM

NIN blew me the f*** away...

it was an honor to be at this show.

Roarbitz is refering to the barricade that blocked off the middle section of the stage inbetween the two crates from the crowd(Trent ran over to one crate constantly).

I'll say this it's very frustrating to have to go through a show wondering where JT's feet and hands are placed so that he doesn't accidently do damage to a knee when pushes it along with the barricade back which is painful or you accidentily elbowing his in the hand because you don't realize it's there. Along with all this there is worrying about what part of the rail you actually can cling to because the leg spots are blocked by shoes(many of which times the aren't just on the rail but your leg/thigh/whatever) and JT puts his hands on the rail every so often to gain more leverage leaving not many hand grips. It wasn't JT's fault, it was a safety issue, and he was being very nice about it, but that doesn't change the fact the it distracted a great deal from the show, especially at first. Really up until THTF when I just said fuck it and stood there with nothing to hang onto. Though if I would have done that earlier I would have been swept back and made the waiting pointless. That's what made this show disheartening and dissapointing to me. Hours upon hours of waiting, hurricane bill and all, excitement building because you know your going to score a good seat at a great small venue and then the let down of not even getting to pay attention to a great deal of the show beause of some messed up planning. Which granted probably only ruined it for me and Bre since that was where Todd and JT were decided to make there efforts. Buy still we paid money to enjoy the show and actually be able to watch it.

THTF's and HLAH were awesome thought! I'm not using my camera ever again on those two! (alright that's probably a lie, but it was fun this time because there was no point in trying to take pics when you couldn't hold on to anything to get a stable shot...surfers were a bitch to trying to keep a spot and not get hit with not much to hang onto). However those two songs and some that followed were great fun...for me idk about Bre since she was getting the crush from both sides at that point. Sandwiched between the thrust of the crowd and the shove of the barricade backwards like a little sardine.

Anyways that's the short of it from my iPhone so excuse the errors. tongue sticking out smiley

08/23/09 12:49 AM

i didn't have a ticket and just waited outside all day. A bouncer was kind enough to let small groups of people in later during the show. I got in during Survivalism, and had a blast for the 9 songs i was in for grinning smiley.
Totally awesome...'cept for those loud bitches in the back
