Epic show...All of TDS, 'nough said. Hottest show I ever went to..I was three people deep from dead center and EVERYTHING I wore or was in my pockets was drenched.

I will just say this:

I'm actually getting more emotional now reading all these posts about the show than I was even at the show. You could just feel like it was something incredibly special going on and that sentiment is just echoed throughout this board. Like most of us, The Downward Spiral changed my life when I first heard it nearly 15 years ago....it is my favorite album of all time, from my favorite artist of all time. This was my fourth NIN show, but the first where I could look around at everybody on stage and tell they were having a great time. JMJ I have to say you rocked, we made eye contact quite a few times and I could just tell you loved being up there. But what I really took away from this is that I am such a die-hard NIN fan, but throughout my long time as a fan I never thought I got to experience a classic/life-changing NIN moment whether it would be the meet and greets or Woodstock or anything to that extent. However, I walked out of the show and thought to myself I was just at a historical NIN show and though this may be the last time I get to experience NIN live...I can forever say I was there at Webster Hall on August 23rd, 2009. Trent, you'll probably never see this post but seriously thank you so much for everything you have given us over the years. You've given us all hope.

edwardcarey, it's a good time for a first post! Thanks for sharing some of your NIN history.

the_mystic_s and peedropaula, thanks! That's really nice of you.

Mayelle, I can't wait to see pics and hear your take on the remaining shows.

thebends9, good to see you again. I hope your girlfriend liked the show. Have fun at T5 x2! (lucky bastard!)

So many beautiful words in this thread. This is what music is for, this how we find out we are all the same, when we all hear the same incredible sounds and some part of our beings each reverberate on the exact same frequency, as our souls simultaneously and spontaneously recognize, in this imperfect world, a small pure fragment of truth.
- Nice.

thiefoflight, kskill, reconstructyou, Nin_Slave and all, thanks for posting photos and video! You guys are awesome.

How cool to read about all the people who got in at the last minute. Talk about good luck!

needwingstofly, I hear ya. The heat was overwhelming. I think I lost 5 lbs in that hotbox! (I can't imagine what it was like for the band under all those lights.) I probably wouldn't have made it through the last bit without the cold water that the blonde girl standing behind me was shaking over us! If you're reading, thanks!

Hello All - My first post

I first saw Nine Inch Nails open for The Jesus and Mary Chain in 1990 (The Troc in Philadelphia) and after 13 shows ( including an outdoor show in Toronto w/ Soundgarden, Manson, PWEI and others) , shows at MSG, the Electric Factory...) this will go down as my favorite NIN show...and for that matter my favorite show period. 3 days later and I am still talking about it.

Thanks for all the people posting audio and video - it was a wonderful night and your work is very much appreciated.

I still cannot get over "A Warm Place" being played...and speaking of A Warm Place...

Thanks to the young lady who fanned a whole group of us during the show...thanks to whoever at Webster Hall that made the decision to pass out free water...

and thanks to Nine Inch Nails ( Trent and every past and present live version) for wonderful memories I will have with me for the rest of my life.

I AM SO SAD! I didnt bring cash to the awesomest NIN show ever! I had my card but cards weren't being accepted to purchase the coolest NIN tee shirts ever. I have never seen venue specific tee shirts. I am crying inside. Is there anyway I can still get a Webster Hall NIN tee? HELP!

Dime don't allow Mp3 posts, only Flac.
I'm gonna look into posting everything on a public site for all to enjoy.
PLEASE DON'T PM ME ASKING FOR INVITES TO DEMONOID.....I DON'T HAVE ANY LEFT!!
As soon as I get everything uploaded i'll post the links here.

Thanx for all your kind comments about the recording. I'm glad I can share it and still a little overwhelmed by the whole event.

i've loved reading what everyone had to say. We ALL were in the same zone. Jaw-dropping, epic... words really do it injustice. Aside from a few folks, the vibe was amazing. i haven't felt comeraderie, love, or intense orgasmic head-explosions from music like that since the last time i saw the Dead. NOT the same kind of crowd, but tonight, maybe just one night, eerily similar. Was there anyone-IS there anyone that doesn't still have that shit-eating grin still stuck there?

What a goddamn GIFT it was to be able to play that show....

These past two nights have been really heavy. I'm already sentimental about them, but of course I'm an old softie.

Love to you,
JMJ

Thanks for that, it made me misty-eyed. I'm an old softy, too. We all had a kick-ass time TOGETHER. I've never felt more connected to a performing band.

Thanks, Trent for all the years, and sharing your gift.
Thanks, Justin, oh great master of the lower frequencies.
Thanks, Ilan- you got a great future, kid. Watching you play is a joy.
Thanks, Robin-I'm glad it was YOU here at the end. You shredded my dna.
And thanks to everyone else that works so hard for this band.

I feel like i won the lottery twice. Once to score tickets, and second, to be there for this.

Well-put! I will be still wearing my shit-eating grin to tonight's T5 show! Can they top Webster? we'll see....

Wow!! What a weekend! I am getting all emotional just reading through these posts and knowing that I am so lucky to be a part of it all!

My boyfriend and I came to NYC on Saturday morning, the day after my birthday, to see what was going to be my last NIN show at Webster Hall...We didn't have tix for Bowery, but by some miraculous aligning of planets and a little help from my new best NIN friend, Tony, we got into Bowery, which was my 22nd NIN show on the 22nd of August! I was going to be able to pull off my 23rd NIN show on the 23rd of August, making my crazy OCD-like numbering needs complete and giving me "Closure" on my NIN "career"! My Webster Hall tix even had seat #22 & #23 listed on them! This weekend was truly meant to be for me!

My first NIN show was the legendary Boston Garden show in 1994 with the Jim Rose Circus and I was on the floor for the tearing out of the seats! I had never experienced such a thing and I was hooked! Since then, I've seen NIN about 3x each tour hitting up all of the shows I could reasonably drive to from Boston! I'd have probably seen them even more had it not been for a couple of A**hole ex's who just didn't "get" it...

Over the years, I've seen so many incredible NIN shows - Adam Ant onstage in Worcester singing Physical with Trent; the David Bowie/Outside tour; getting to see Bauhaus on the summer tour with Peaches (what a trip she is!!); seeing Peter Murphy again as a surprise guest in Worcester singing Reptile with Trent; getting to meet Trent in Hartford, CT on the Fragility tour; then getting to meet him again and go to soundcheck at the Boston Orpheum for the first of the With Teeth shows (and having him sign my picture from Hartford where he laughed at himself in it!)...just so many incredible memories!!

In December, my super awesome boyfriend let me twist his arm (wasn't too hard!!) to go to Vegas for what I really thought was going to be the last NIN show ever on the Lights in the Sky tour! We had the Gold Circle seats right down front and I felt like I was at my own private NIN show! That was the farthest I had been able to travel for NIN at that point! I was so happy that I got to be there that I had tears streaming down my face as each band member left the stage...Then when they announced the Wave Goodbye tour with Jane's! Holy Crap! This was always one of my "what if" shows coming true!! We made the decision then to go to San Francisco to visit my best friend and my old concert partner in crime to see the show at Mountain View - what a wonderful experience to see Jane's onstage again and it was all thanks to Trent! Again, at Jones Beach, I thought for sure that was going to be my last NIN show and the tears were flowing!

When Trent ever announced they were coming back to the US to do a round of club shows on my birthday weekend, I just knew I had to be there! I tried so hard to get tix to both Bowery and Webster Hall, but could only get Webster Hall...After waiting patiently outside Bowery and with a little help from "Tough Acting Tony Tinactin" we were able to get in (Thank you Eric!!!!) and I just knew this was going to be a magical weekend! The Bowery show blew me away - just being that close and feeling the crush of being against the barricade again...so damned awesome! Everyone in the place had such a look of pure happiness...I never thought it could be matched!

After the Bowery show, we all grabbed some beer and pizza and sat up on our hotel's roof deck until 4am just sharing NIN stories...it was a perfect night! We even half-joked about the possibility of NIN playing all of The Downward Spiral or Fragile, never dreaming that it could actually happen!! I had said I'd so much rather have Downward Spiral and didn't even care what he played if I could hear Big Man With a Gun - little did I know what we were in for!

Since we had tix to Webster Hall, Sunday was a lot more relaxing and low key! WE enjoyed a nice day in NYC and headed over to Webster Hall; we got our wristbands and tix, then headed out for some pre-show dinner and drinks at McSorleys! Met up with more NIN friends there and just were having such a good time! When we got into the venue it was so hot!! Much hotter than it was at Bowery and we were down front for that! We found a good spot off to the side near the guy selling beer & $5 water...

I almost died when they opened with Mr. Self Destruct! I missed that opening on the last round of tours and was so excited! To have my two favs - Somewhat Damaged opening at Bowery and now Mr. Self Destruct!! Then he kept going...in order...holy shit, this is actually going to happen!! Someone please pinch me!! When March of the Pigs started, I couldn't even contain myself anymore...I had to run straight into the crowd and get my pit on!! My poor boyfriend must have thought I'd lost my mind!! I came back to our spot after that and just rocked the fuck out for the rest of the show!! Definately lost my shit when he played Big Man With a Gun! He could have stopped playing immediately after that and my night would have been complete! But we got all of TDS, then Physical...Suck...I couldn't have asked for a better show! It was a very abrupt ending after Head Like A Hole, but I was happy with it!! They never used to do encores and it left me breathless and on a high that I've yet to come down from!

To Trent - I cannot even express how grateful I am to you for all of the years of music and memories that you have given to me! I know this last round of shows is for the fans and it is truly appreciated! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve in the future and hope that you take some well deserved time off with your soon to be new bride!!

To the rest of the band:
Ilan - You are an animal! I loved watching you play!!
Justin - You are so real and down to earth! Thank you for posting earlier about how much you're enjoying these shows!
Robin - I am so happy that you are here for these last shows!

To Eric of the NIN crew - You will never know how much your getting us into the Bowery means to me! It is truly refreshing to see someone from a band's crew caring so much about the fans!

To the NIN Community and especially to my new friend Tony - You guys f'n rock! Enjoy the last of the shows that you are all going to! I'm so happy to have shared these last two shows with you all!

And as I said in my Bowery post - none of this would have been possible or nearly as much fun for me if it wasn't for my super awesome boyfriend for the best birthday weekend ever! I am truly the luckiest girl in the whole world!!

Sorry for the super long post, but this stuff just has to come out of my system!!

Incredible show. I was sad when tickets sold out so quickly and I wasn't able to go until they released more last week. Great way to say good-bye to the live show. I really doubt any of the other club shows are going to be able to top that.

I posted this on another thread, so just deal..

It hit me like a ton of bricks today..

I wish i could go to more of these final shows(too broke, and i went back to grad school today)....I went to Sunday..and It was such an amazing experience and high, that it is making me feel quite shitty today...

I dont know if I will ever ever feel that way at a concert again...or in life in general..

I have to say one thing, the fact i witnessed NIN live history, is something that is incredible special to me...and will never ever be taken away.

Is this only my third post?

Not complete, but 3 minutes of Lights in the Sky. I couldn't pull my camera out fast enough. Editing a couple other things (like Rob dancing during Ruiner). This sound quality on my camera makes me happy, even with the random pops (I was RIGHT infront of the speaker)

Anyone who met me, say hi, I was wearing the home made "abandon sanity" shirt.

My good friend and I came to see this show from Florida. We met because of NIN, and we've now enjoyed 3 nin shows together. This was by far the best NIN concert I have ever been to. This is everything I have ever wanted to see. The Downward Spiral was the first album I bought from NIN and it was the one to change my life forever.

I'm so emotional right now, it's insane. I'm happy to be a part of everyone there, even the people we were next to by the front of the main bar in the middle ( a few very nice girls, one of which was recording the show) were very nice and pleasant to be around.

This was a shared experience and I'm glad to be a part of it and having that great red nin shirt with "webster hall" on the back is just topping on the cake man.

FUCKING AMAZING
