This was my first time waiting in line all day. Arrived at 9.15 and was about 30th in the nin.com presale line. Met some awesome people in line. Got annoyed when the line ahead of me kept growing. I sometimes feel like the only one who thinks you should have your entire party THERE when you arrive. Not fair for one person to hold a place at 6am for 3 others who show up at 2pm, you know? grah.
Anyway. I can't believe how grumpy they got with us about the damn line! Move up, move back, squish in, stand up, do jumping jacks. What do you WANT from us? sheesh!
Was totally stoked when we got banded. After that I was so nervous, I couldn't sit still. Don't think anyone else could, either!
The time finally came to go in, and of course they split us into guys and girls, and all the guys got through so much faster. So much for the line, eh? pfft.
Got my spot right in the crook of the rail in front of Trent, second row. STOKED! I was so damn excited about this spot, I thought I might pee my pants or cry or something. I did neither

I met some new cool people around me, and saw mooseknuckle himself (forgot your name here, sorry!) not far behind me, though he was in the Ticketmaster line. Shouted "Mooseknuckle!" at him, he laughed, and the girl next to me said "Why am I seeing ads?" YES! Genius.
Glad we didn't have to wait terribly long for Mew to come out. Did not really care for them. They weren't horrible, but they looked bored. One time the singer looked like he was going to cry. Dunno what that was about. I swear the two hours inside the venue waiting on NIN to start seemed longer than the nine hours in line waiting to get inside (which, honestly, went by SO FAST).
When NIN started with Pinion, I cried. I seriously cried! Then they moved into Wish and Last... I was FLIPPING out! Then they ruined it with Discipline. I was so terribly disappointed. You know they messed with us on purpose!
Over all, it was a GREAT setlist. The people around me DID NOT LET UP at all. I couldn't breathe (therefore couldn't sing) most of the time they were on stage. It was completely worth it, though, as it ALWAYS is. I am just disappointed that I was SO miserable when Peter Murphy came out that I don't recall Dead Souls much at all. I was to the point where I was mentally begging NIN to finish so I could get some relief. How sad. I hope that if they play Reptile tonight, I am not in the same position and can actually enjoy it, since I didn't get to do that with Dead Souls (a song I have been wanting to hear live). bleh!
I LOVED that Trent reverted to some old skool kicking and throwing of his instruments. I was stoked when he knocked over his keyboard and then threw his guitar across the stage! HELL YA, TRENT!
I think they gave an insane amount of energy. and I loved hearing Down in It finally. So raw! Tried to imagine what it would've been like back in the day.
Also felt like Trent was singing TO us down in front, rather than just at us... I swear he was looking people in the eyes most of the night. It was AMAZING. It felt so personal from where I was, that's for sure.
Loved most of my experience yesterday! Can't wait to go back and do it again today!
