09/11/09 2:15 AM

AWESOME SHOW!!! I recorded the show but missed about the last 20 minuets since i ran out of tapes lol.

09/11/09 2:16 AM

On the LITS tour, closing the show with TR playing "Zero Sum" on piano while each band member saluted and walked off stage was an effective ending.

Tonight, it was moving.

Trent said thank you, took in the audience one last time, then disappeared into the darkness.

I dunno. It's hard to pinpoint down specific details for me at the moment.

They played somewhere around three hours. The setlist was great. "Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)" with Dave Navarro. Lots of Year Zero material ("Me I'm Not" with Atticus!). TDTWWA.

It seemed to be a special evening because of what it meant, and it seemed to mean that to the band as well as the fans. Can't say I've been part of an experience like it before, I don't know when I will again.

Thanks to Trent, Robin, JMJ, Ilan. It's been a tremendous run, and I can't wait to see what comes next from all of you.

09/11/09 2:19 AM

wow epic setlist. almost 40 freakin songs! cant wait for video!

09/11/09 2:19 AM

So. Sad.

09/11/09 2:21 AM

dont be sad. yes, no touring but we can still expect more music. i dont think Trent will ever stop with that. we can only hope for another tour in future. but as long as the music keeps rolling out, there is no reason to be completely sad.

09/11/09 2:22 AM

3 out of four shows, and I only had tickets to the palladium. Thanks to NIN for selling tickets last minute outside the venue. I went to the palladium show, the fonda, and now The Wiltern show. Im very saddened by this whole ordeal and will miss the band a lot. Well at least I still have the mothafucken Deftones

09/11/09 2:23 AM

was hoping for Only, Sin, Closer, and Echoplex but they still pulled out a lot of gems and kept their reputation for mind-blowing live shows intact..
5/5 for this show (was my first and last), hoping for more new music in the future (Ghosts V-VIII?)

VIVA NIN!!!

09/11/09 2:28 AM

unreal show. as great as the last phx show and fonda was, this was on another level. really a significantly higher level for me. as far as the vibe, set list, tightness of the band...everything. just spectacular. it should be apparant in the vids. wow.

09/11/09 2:29 AM

Over 3 hours and 30 mins of NIN. Amazing SHOW! NIN took the stage around 9:15p and left around 12:45a.

All I can say is Trent def saved the best for last!

The sound was pristine in this venue, excellent choice for a finale (even though it was not planned that way).

I did not get to watch any of the opening acts (work and LA Traffic) but was there right on time to watch NIN take the stage. Got balcony seats, which to my surprise were pretty good.

Thanks NIN... you will be missed in the live circuit!

EDIT: TR did mention that NIN will NOT be touring anymore, but they WILL be making music. He said that Justin, Ilan and Robin will still be making music individually and with NIN as well! There were quite a few HD Cameras all around the venue, so def expect something!

09/11/09 2:33 AM

wow...
that set list...
amazing.

you guys...tell us more stories!!

09/11/09 2:35 AM

Not the best show, but all I can say is after 18 or 19 years shaping my life, thank you.

Regarding the show -

That venue sucks. I don't think I have enough fingers or toes to discuss all the reasons that venue sucks. Maybe tomorrow I will list some of them. I'll never return to the Wiltern.

Not my favorite setlist, but Trent was into it and he should get to choose what he played. I would have preferred more from the first three albums.

Dillinger was awesome.

Trent was clearly sick. I've never seen the guy drink so much gatorade and he was clearly late to start multiple songs while he went to get a drink. Hope he feels better.

All in all, there have been better shows. I'd actually rank this one #6 of the 7 I saw in the last 10.

That said, the correct thing to say is: Thank you.

I should also add, I suspect its not the last we see of NIN. Very clearly they are done touring for a while - Trent said if he kept touring he would die. I believe him. I suspect in a year or two we'll see gigs like these - he enjoys it too much. I bet we'll see 3 or 4 nights in NYC then nothing for 3 months, then 3 nights in LA, etc... There comes a time when a musician can ask his fans to come to him. NIN has hit that time.

09/11/09 2:35 AM

one word....EPIC!

09/11/09 2:37 AM

Thank you to my pit bracelet lifesaver......... ; )

all I can say for now is Holy Shit once again. Epic show, my body and my brain are mush! I'll post more later, plane back to Boston in 5 hours ughh.......

Can't believe it's over

09/11/09 2:38 AM

I was at the show and i thought it was great. Sure there were some songs that i wish they had played but overall it was an amazing set. There were moments that were just insane like when Dillingers Escape Plan came on and then there were some moments where u just felt that Trent wanted to breakdown. Yea he's still gonna make music as NIN but to not tour any longer i'm sure that's gotta have some emotional effect on a performer. I'm no musician but i always thought that the reason you make music is to perform in front of live crowds. Thank you Trent & Co. for many years of great music and good luck with your future endeavors.

09/11/09 2:41 AM

I can't stop crying... show started at 9:23pm and ended at 12:38pm. WOW!!! NIN will be missed. 14 shows of awesomness!!!

09/11/09 3:44 AM

Wow. I cannot believe how sad I am right now.

I kinda feel like I am about to get into a long distance relationship. Its still nice to be with that person, but its not the same without looking them in the eye.

09/11/09 2:44 AM

Fucking epic! Got HD of the whole thing, I'll get to posting as soon as I can. smiling smiley

*Edit* to say that we somehow wound up in the VIP area upstairs after the show, just kinda hanging out and not even knowing as much. Rob Sheridan went right by us on his way to take that "The End" pic and then came back to the VIP area. We asked some guy how he got the green guest sticker and he said that his manager used to be NIN's manager and gave it to him... Then he was like, "How'd you get in without one? Oh well, you're here now." lol

We were tempted to stay until kicked out but we decided a couple of peeps with arms full of merch would be pretty obviously not VIPs, hehe.

09/11/09 2:45 AM

ABSOLUTELY FUCKING FANTASTIC SHOW! IM SO FUCKING TIRED. THANK YOU SO MUCH TRENT!!!!!!!! I CANNOT ASK FOR A BETTER CONCERT EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

MUCH MUCH MUCH THANKS AND AWESOME CROWD AND PEOPLE THAT STOOD IN LINE WITH ME.

(Laural, John and a married couple. Forgot your names sorry sad smiley )

09/11/09 2:46 AM

Thank you Trent. . Your music has meant the world to me for the past 20 odd years. The live shows were a release. I let out everything I am feeling while watching you play and screaming out the songs with you. No other band could come close to the hours of musical therapy you have given me.
Enjoy your future. It will be bright and shining. I look forward to whatever you bring my world from yours.

Sin

09/11/09 2:49 AM

Holy shit.

That was probably the best show I've ever attended. Show started at 9:30 and I think it was a quarter to 1 by the time they started to usher us out.

Just incredible. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been "And All That Could Have Been", but I complain.

"Gave Up" was insane!! Why the hell didn't I think to record that one, damn!

Thank you Trent!!

09/11/09 2:57 AM

Had a great time tonight! Arrived around 8pm and found a seat in the balcony. Loved everything that was played. I will never forget tonight's experience. It was truly an honor to see NIN rock the fuck out of the Wiltern.
Tired. Must sleep now.
