Favorite moments of the show? The end of Burn. Mr. Self Destruct and Wish with Dillinger's Escape Plan, the energy during that last song was insane! La Mer was beautiful. Thanks for playing all those Year Zero songs! The end of the show was pretty heartbreaking too.

The crowd was incredible, the sound, not so much, I could barely hear Trent over the music but I loved this show. It's pretty high on my list.

Shout out to all the people (Rachel, Lonnie, Taylor, Vinny and Theresa) with me behind the seating area on the left side of the auditorium floor. You guys were awesome.

I have no one to follow anymore sad smiley

i knew that was him! i figured no one around me would know who the hell that was though, so i kept my mouth shut. Penn Gillette (sp?) from penn and teller was up on the balcony shaking hand with ron jeremy right before nin went on.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does "start live" mean. I don't remember anything particularly different about those songs compared to the others...

ETA: I'm so bummed they crossed off The Great Below...it would have been great to hear that!

We were in the first floor section behind the pit and I have to say that the pit looked absolutely TAME compared to where we were. Hardly room to breathe, getting crushed, pinned, thrown all over....meanwhile the pit was just standing there...oh well, better for me!

The set-list was fucking epic, the band was tight as hell, I'm SO happy that I got a ticket this morning!

Side-note, I'm sure there were more than this, but we all personally saw Ron Jeremy, Penn Jillette, Tony Hawk, and the dark skinned/light haired guy from No Doubt (sorry, dont know his name). Anybody see any other famous people?

I was next to Tony tonight. Interesting fellow. Enjoyed seeing him rock out to "Head Like A Hole" smiling smiley He stated his disappointment about not hearing Gary Numan perform "Cars" tonight. Also, a couple guys I met tonight pointed out Diamond Dallas Page (Wrestler) was near us as well.

I have so much I want to say about this amazing show. First Ill say thank you to Trent for giving me so much inspiration over the last 15 years. The show was well worthy of being called his "last" and I beg to differ with others about the set list, Ive seen NIN tons of times, this was the best set list ever! I will miss you NIN, but I always have the music.

Second, to anyone who hated off me, and laughed at me, and said I would never find a ticket, fuck you, you were wrong. However, most people were very supportive, and most fans had some sense, and told me many times, just show up and youl find a ticket. They were all right, I just showed up and like magic I had a ticket in about an hour. To all the fans that supported me, and to Mooney, though you didnt find me a ticket, you tried to find so many of us tickets, thank you! Thank you to the real fans who believed that other real fans would find a way, we did it folks, we fucking did it!

Wow...

I just got home...

No Words at the moment...

I was dead center in the 2nd tier, on the "rail" as it were. I could not have asked for a better NIN experience.
I hope everyone had a wonderful time tonight...we were all a part of music history.

Pictures etc will be coming this weekend. I have to be at work in 5 hours.... and I'm coming down with NINfluenza.

ON a funny note, 24 shows and I never heard Last live. Oh well. :-) Next time.

Thank you Trent, Thank you everybody involved in making this happen. Pure Magic.

I can easily say that the Wiltern was supposed to be the last show...ending at Echoplex wouldn;t have been right. There's no way everybody would have fit onstage!

09/11/09 4:41 AM

Rick Rubin was in the same area as Penn and Ron.

Was pretty disappointed about the palladium show, I really felt it lacked that caliber (rightfully so, as he was sick, but still) of these last 3 shows. I won't try and put this show into words, but it was nothing shy of amazing. Didn't put in the work to be on the floor (would have, had I known the situation) but let me just say, the balcony sucked. The view was good, the sound was good, however the energy in the crowd was pretty wack to be honest. That being said it only took 3 songs or so before I said fuck it and sang everything. All apologies to the 2 girls (awesome back tat girl ;P) in front of me, you didn't seem to mind, and were sweet, but I had to have gotten annoying, fuck I felt so loud compared to everyone around me. Finally, I think it was when Dillinger EP came out, where some people moved down and the crowd seemed to really wake up. Honestly, even the floor looked pretty mild, although I wasn't paying much attention to it. Fuck, the energy on the stage during MSD and Wish, was absurd, clearly my favorite part. Synthetik, MSD and Wish first please! (also, been enjoying all your work, it's appreciated!) Great set list, woulda loved to hear the great below, but fuck it, how can anyone complain. Sorry for the people who just settled on one show and went to the Palladium, although it was a decent show, it was not anywhere near tonight. Nevermind this show almost doubled it's length. Longest set I've ever seen, by anyone. Adrianne Curry, you're a champ, I saw you leave, you looked pretty fucking haggard (in a good way!) musta had a great time down there! Trent, you built expectations about these final shows when you first announced/described them, and from a longtime genuine fan, you sir, fucking delivered the shit tonight. And I'm pretty much an analytical, critical asshole. Fuck made me totally forget about all those seats, and the kinda wack venue! I look forward to seeing your continued contributions in the artistic community in whatever mediums you see fit! So excited for Year Zero! (hopefully on HBO, anyone know?)

Lucky Us. Seriously.

no one noticed RICK RUBIN who sitting right next to Penn Jillette.

That show was the best show I have ever seen!
Me and my buddy went out there with no tickets, it hopes of box office tickets when they came avalible, saw the Brits, shitfuckdamn aswell... I think I saw the coheed and cambria guy.. I saw Tony hawk.. And striker.. Then we were told that a few tickets were available and we got in at 910. I think NIN started at 920-930.. It was fucking awesome! I feel bad for the people that paid $300 just to see the first band... Lol I got a shirt that will be getting put in a frame with the poster and ticket with no name :-) it was fucking sweet!!!! Well it's almost 4am and I need to work in a few, goodnight people!

09/11/09 5:00 AM

AWESOME! 4:00 a.m. More tomorrow. grinning smiley

09/11/09 5:01 AM

Epic set! What a night. The last available tickets were given away for free around 9:45, I showed up at 10 with no ticket and not much hope for getting in-- then-- I saw some guys standing outside the smoking area who were in the same boat and I walked with one of them down past some trucks in the back, hopped a wall onto a stairway where there surprisingly wasn't security, went down the stairs as if I was legit and followed him into the backstage door and through a curtain straight past other people backstage, then went past another security guy who was turned the other way and ended up right in the pit!!! Amazing!!! It helped that we acted/looked like we belonged there..lol. I was 5 people from the front. I truly wouldve paid but it was kinda last minute decision to go.
They did some of the older classic nin like Dead Souls that I haven't heard in forever.. song selection was great. I agree with the poster that the pit was kinda tame, w/e though it was more intimate of a show. Much better to watch it close up without being thrown around! Dave Navarro and DEP were great. Robin was ridiculous.. I don't think theres anyone that fits that band better as a guitarist than him. The song Atmosphere that I'd never hear them do before was SICK.

FUCK YOU to the idiot meathead in the pit who kept whistling 5 times every song. You almost fucking blew my ears out before I finally moved.

What a great sendoff and crazy fun show. got 2 shirts for $5 ea after.. I feel bad for the people who paid out the a** to go but I know it was worth it to all involved.. can't wait for the dvd for this.

i'm entitled to my opinion. it was never stated the show got moved due to illness. it said "if i could have pulled it off i would have." maybe it got moved to accommodate all the guests.

I thought the show was awesome! I don't like comparing and bitching about shows - things happen. Each show seems to just have its own personality depending on whats going on around it. And this final Wiltern show felt like what it was - a festive, but bittersweet celebration.

Thank you to my "line-mates" who made the wait bearable (and especially to our Queen who brought the giant umbrella... Hey, Top Gun, do you have everyone's contact info? Can you contact me?) Also, thank you "donut girl" - just for being you. I wish I had video of her dancing inside; it's nice to see fun, innocent energy.

And, of course - thank you Trent, the band, the staff and the guests that put on a memorable show! I'm glad that Trent took a minute to clarify that he *will* be still be making music. So one door closed tonight; I look forward to those that will open.

I have now seen the messiah and been to the promised land. I am ready now God, take me whenever you wish.
