Really nice photos, Jessica! I promise not to share them.

Thanks for hanging on to the Echoplex t-shirts for us in your purse - we don't even care that they were sweat drenched!

Hiding because you dont want your art spread around and for people to know your name? If you are that concerned about it getting anywhere and it being used incorrectly, watermark it. You seem to know enough about photoshop and everything to do that. Also, you could set up your page to not let anyone save the photos just by right clicking ''save picture as'....

Heres another one, color in the lights!

I just prefer to know where my photos are being posted. I don't believe in watermarking & people always find a way to save photos so there's no point in disabling right click. But thank you for your concern. smiling smiley

And you're welcome to the others! smiling smiley

Mooney... you're awesome! With all the work you put in making sure as many people got into these shows as possible, holding a shirt for you is the LEAST I could have done!

Are there any shows coming up that people are going to? If only for a distraction from the sadness I think alot of us are feeling right now? I know NO shows will ever compare to the three that I just witnessed (which is what I expected), but I'm looking forward to seeing some shows that will change my focus on what it has been these last 4 weeks.

Ace Frehley tonight, Pansy Division, The Avengers, Pet Shop Boys, Billy Squier (the Wiltern again. Will wear Thursday's shirt) and Joe Perry Project.

Anybody else?

I have a variety coming for the rest of September and it's going to be difficult to attend after all of this, but I LOVE the high of good live music - Arctic Monkeys (Palladium), Yeah Yeah Yeahs (w/Breeders), Phoenix (who are Excellent live), Psych Furs, Pet Shop Boys in Vegas, Manic Street Preachers. Sonic Youth was rescheduled for LA

I think I caught the ninfluenza. I can feel a sore throat coming on...

Here's my PUBLIC THANKS TO NIGHTR6701 for GIVING UP HER TICKET AND LETTING ME HAVE KILLER'S TICKET SO I COULD SEE THIS SHOW! You two rock the fuck out of my socks!!!

Beautiful beautiful ending to everything.

Personally? I got In This Twilight. That was my favorite song this summer. I caught every single Saturday sunset for a month and a half through July and August, and I played that song each time as I drove out in my new (to me) convertible to photograph them. To be able to get that as my last NIN song, was perfect poetry to my perfect NIN-obsessed summer.

I lost two more fingernails & fucked up my boots something spectacular after I left the rail & moved about the floor once the drunken dumbass slam dancing started. (Strangely the verboten moshing didn't bother me at all since I was sorta pissed off to that point for NOT BRINGING MY SLR because Echoplex made me worried for her safety. That made not bringing my camera for the last show justified. Yeah, I had clear shots for the first 2/3 and it would have been fine to that point...but some asshole would have made me drop an expensive lens & I would have cried, not to mention I think my camera would have caught Greg Puciato's foot when he stage dived, hehehe.)

Also I just wanted to thank synthetik for uploading all those quality videos. Now I have proof of Greg Puciato's foot nearly landing in my face during Wish. FUCKING AWESOME.

P.S.- jess_ica: I'm a photographer who doesn't believe in watermarking. Anyone can Photoshop out a watermark if they want anyway & it always reminded me of a dog that has to piss all over everything: "Mine, mine, that's mine, oh, that's also mine...that's mine too..." So, I feel ya, girl.

The only show I have a ticket for going through the end of '09 is U2 in LA. I did have a ticket for The Cult in LA late last month but had to skip the show due to my wife being out of town and no sitter for our son. There's strong rumors of a NYE Jane's Addiction show at either The Palladium or Wiltern that I'd be a definate for. Looking further forward, I'm hoping for highly rumored US tours next Spring from Killing Joke, Van Halen and P.I.L. if they play here in the US but otherwise, 2010 looks kinda bleak right now.

A bunch of stuff very different from NIN. Pearl Jam (x4) at the end of the month; Treasure Island Festival with Beirut, The Decemberists, The Flaming Lips etc.; Noah and the Whale; Sonic Youth; the Mountain Goats. Yeah, my tastes are probably a lot different than most of yours.

Providing I don't catch the NINflu and die from it - I'm going to see Motorhead. (snip)

You hear Matt Sorum's drumming for the band this tour while Micky does a UK reality tv show? Ugh.

Going to see Phoenix in Chicago soon - get to relive some NIN memories as they are playing the Aragon. Also have Kylie Minogue, Wilco, and possibly the Horrors and KMFDM. Soon I will start saving money for the next NIN show. I hope Trent will keep coming back to Chicago, but the days of five stops I can drive to easily in the midwest are OVER. Have to be ready to travel to LA for the one-off shows we all hope will happen in the not-to-distant future.

When do you guys think we'll have a dvd? Another gift from TR around Christmas?

09/12/09 9:24 PM

Wow a lot of people going to see MSP. See you all there.

09/12/09 9:29 PM

Here's the first of the arduous task of getting the entire show uploaded:

Ruiner [HD] *With one of Trent's speeches*

synthetik, I don't know if you were aware, but if you put:
&fmt=22
At the end of your Youtube URL it'll link the vid in HD (and what nice videos they are, congrats bro.)

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with the NINfluenza.

I probably got it after the Fonda show (was right up front in the pit), but I'm so glad it held off till Friday to be full blown.

This show was amazing and I'm so glad they ended it on something other than Hurt.

Hey Chaonotic,

I was aware actually.. just figured I'd link it in standard def, and if the viewers connection was good enough for HD, they could then click up to HD. And it's me who should be complimenting you. Thank you for all of the amazing footage you contributed to "This One is On Us." Can't wait to see it. I actually ended up running into Erik who is color correcting the project at the Fonda and Wiltern shows. He says you guys are very close. haha. Let's hope he's right. Our community definitely needs a fix right now.

to everyone i met in line (those that got stuck in the sun, even after we got wristbands), thanks for making it tolerable. Historic, epic, wondrous, and bitter sweet. i couldn't have asked for anything better.

yes her name is carly and i'm the boyfriend. it was a great show. i don't know why more people weren't rocking the way me and my buddies were. we were throwing each around having a great time! i noticed a lot of the crowd was very lame. i mean it's Nine Inch Nails, it's supposed to be a little rough, right? again, awesome show.

Hey Flora... haha. I couldn't believe it when i saw him stage dive knee-first. Better yet, I still can't believe it that i was able to keep the camera steadily on him for the entire thing. Hope your face is okay though. haha. winking smiley

p.s. I keep watching that video over and over again. It's just so F'ing frenetic.

I am probably going to Voodoo Music Experience again this year. It will be my 4th time (2004, 2007, 2008). New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit and the shows are always excellent. There is a nice mix of performers and something for everyone.

09/12/09 10:14 PM

Here's something I thought would be interesting... Below are videos of the exact same song from both the Fonda and the Wiltern.

Which do you guys think is a better performance?? (put partiality aside please)

The Day the World Went Away [HD] - (Wiltern)

vs.

The Day the World Went Away [HD] - (Fonda)

Just Like you Imagined [HD] - (Fonda)

vs.

Just Like You Imagined [HD] - (Wiltern)

If you have a take on it. Post your comments here.. not on YouTube.
