2:50pm, EDTHBO gets closer to Trent Reznor's show

Trent Reznor is working with HBO to turn his "Year Zero" into a show.
Anna Chan writes: HBO is about to become my No. 1 network of all time. It's given me some of my favorite must-see shows: "Sex and the City," "Oz," "The Sopranos" and most recently, "True Blood" featuring the fabulous (and sometimes naked) Alexander Skarsgard. Now the premium network is reportedly moving forward to deliver "Year Zero," a sci-fi epic from Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor that bears the same title as his 2007 album.
(I'm trying to keep the fan girl in me from squealing and hitting the exclamation point about 1,000 times right now.)
"We are in [the development phase of] pre-production with HBO and BBC [Worldwide Productions] to do a miniseries," Reznor told the L.A Times' Hero Complex on Monday. He also revealed that "Carnivale's" Daniel Knauf is the writer.
"It's exciting," he said. "I probably shouldn't say too much about it except that I understand that there's a thousand hurdles before anything shows up in your TV listing."
Excuse me while I go blast some NIN as I wait for the day "Year Zero" premieres.
