He's talikg about how he thinks the goverment is F**ked so he'll go to Gil or "G" as a leader.

From futhering the YZ ARG that Gil is the leader of founder of AIR (art is resistance).

Yes, but the rest of the line says "and he signs his name with a capital G." In the end, I think the meaning is meant to be ambiguous, because once a story becomes allegorical, the possibility of it meaning something to a future generation decreases dramatically (it becomes too tied to it's contemporary surroundings). That said, I lean more towards the possibility that the line alludes to religious absolutism; "my god" (lower case g) suggests that people can have their own personal deities and belief systems, where as "God" suggests that the deity in question is the only legitimate one.

You know, for all the times I've listened to that song, I'd never noticed that chant! Thanks for the clarification -- I'll have to mull things over further . . .
