the slip just reminds me of the rest of his work. it's probably not in any way near his best album, but i really like how raw it is and how quickly he released it. 999,999 reminds me of broken, 1,000,000 reminds me of survivalism and the white stripes, letting you reminds me of march of the pigs and you know what you are?, discipline reminds me of the hand that feeds, only, and his cover of dead souls, echoplex reminds me of cabaret voltaire (the beat; see "jazz the glass"

, the cure (the outro guitar), and gives the sense of paranoia i got from me, i'm not, head down reminds me of the song with teeth. lights in the sky is beautiful, and actually reminds me of something tom waits would do. corona radiata is probably the most original track on the album in terms of what he hasn't done before. i absolutely love it, and the rebirth theme i associate with it. the four of us are dying reminds me of ghosts and the fragile, and that hip-hop beat is just great. demon seed reminds me of things falling apart, and i guess it's pretty cool, but it didn't grow on me as much as the others did. anyway, yeah. ambient, post-punk, whatever genres you want to assign to this album, my opinion is that trent's music gives me the feeling the stooges give me, the feeling mc5 gives me, the feeling t. rex gives me. this is old school rock and roll shit with enough noise to inspire anyone to kick their own ass on the dance floor.
