I listen to each era all the time. I don't just focus on one album. But to properly enjoy a NIN album, it must be listened to all the way through, start to finish, without any distractions.

The lyrics make you feel like a god of some sort. "I jump from every rooftop" "I don't feel anything at all" Fuck yeah! I absolutely LOVE IT when Trent starts banging his leg to the beat at "Put the gun in my mouth, close your eyes..." when playing live. It's epic. That's the only way I can describe it. This! "1 2 3 4" Amazing, especially as the last track, a departure from such endings as hurt and right where it belongs "now I know exactly what i am" and its just brilliant. 1,000,000 would be second for its unflinching ferocity and harshness in your face and clever placement after 999,999. I feel I must mention the song Head Down...great song.
