FINALLY!!!! It appears that I have FINALLY finished collecting the Halos in 12" vinyl format. I just won an auction on "The Fragile", the only one that appears to be missing from my collection. It took me 11 months to get them. I didn't get ALL the versions I wanted (For example, I settled on the American version of "The Fragile", but REALLY wanted the UK promo version), but I took what I could get and they all look mint, especially framed and hanging on the wall.
I can't wait until "The Fragile gets here!!!

I won't be playing it. Much like every other NIN vinyl I own, it's going into a frame and on the wall. If you look at my pics on pages 46 and 48 of this forum, you'll see pics of my collection around my house.

I've basically retired all of these albums from use, and now they're more of art pieces. Making my house more like a NIN museum of rock.

I think Trent would think it's a pretty cool house.

That's a possibility. Usually it's a hole punch or a permanent mark through the barcode. I suppose covering it up with a sticker would make more sense, that's what they do for DVDs.

It could also be from the last batch before it was discontinued. The factory may have sold X amount of the remaining copies at a discounted price and marked the barcode to prevent retail resale.

I really have no way to confirm if the factory does that or the seller. Your theory on marking it as "used" may also be correct.

Does the collecting itch ever stop??? I just finished off the 12" vinyls and now I'm right back into the CD collecting...
I've got a Buick Grand National I'm trying to restore, and haven't bought anything for it since last April. The NIN collection just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I could probably sell it off and use the proceeds to finish the cars restoration.

UPDATE: Since writing this post earlier today, I just won an auction for the "FISTED" box set from the UK. The poor car is NEVER going to get restored at this rate.

Well, here's the print I had made. I tried originally buying this online on E-Bay from the UK. I didn't want to pay the hefty shipping charge, so I asked if they could just send me the canvas print, of which they agreed.
After a month and a half and being told they sent TWO prints to me, I got my money refunded and was told to keep them if they ever arrived...they didn't.

About a month later, I was online looking at NIN posters and came across the same picture that someone had blown up without distorting the photo. I saved the file and googled "Digital Print". I came up with "LargeFormatPosters.com", they printed it on the canvas that I requested, as well as the same dimensions that the UK person was selling it at.
Once it arrived, I immediately took it to "Michael's Craft Store" and had it stretched over a wooden frame. They added a hanging kit, backing and rubber bumpers at each corner so it won't damage the wall.

I have to admit, although pricey, it looks AWESOME!!! I'll most likely have it framed in the future, but that's another $60-$100.



(I found the canvas is blacklight activated, so the picture looks pretty cool in a blacklight as well.)
