Um... those are the standard release. They pop up on ebay occasionally.

Your white cover LPs are actually the much rarer promo versions. Consider yourself lucky.

BTW I am writing an article about collecting music (not necessarily only nin) and would love to get your thoughts on it. It's just sort of advice from things I've figured out on my own but there's probably some "wrong" stuff in there.

I have to get all my stuff together and take pictures. It's a pitiful collection compared to yours but it's better than some.

Thanks, I will send you a draft. It's part a "how to collect for future commercial value" and part "how to collect because you love it and don't plan to ever sell" article. I do some of both.

Any line on that Taiwan set? Man that is pretty.

I went to three used record stores yesterday and found some decent picks. Not necessarily valuable but they made me happy:

Halo 6-Fixed CD - sticker says Made in Germany but the packaging has the France catalogue #

Halo 7-March Of The Pigs CD, re-release, sealed

Halo 10-Further Down The Spiral CD, first US pressing
Halo 10 Further Down The Spiral CD, Canada re-release (forgot to check if it's the regular or the alt)

Halo 17-And All That Could Have Been / Still 2-CD set
LE digipak inside fabric box slipcase
Have to check if it's the one with all US materials or the other one with the Canada disks and US packaging

Disturbed CD, with book (Note, that is a really shitty quality recording. The interviewer was either playing music while talking or was not in a sound booth. It's not TR playing music on his end because they get cut off several times and the music still plays. I don't know if this is supposed to be a boot or if someone actually thought that was a commercially acceptable recording. Bleah. Well at least it barely cost me anything. The book looks good. I take that back; had a chance to read it and it's laughably bad in places, and they didn't employ a proofreader. There are some good pictures but not many. It's about the literary equivalent to the audio quality of the interview. Someone ought to rip that CD and separate the tracks and fix the levels and remove the hiss and it would be a lot better as a collectible, even with the juvenile book being stuck the way it is.

Quake soundtrack CD

A bunch of things I haven't made notations of yet: a Columbia House Broken, a BMG The Downward Spiral, Lost Highway soundtrack, another March Of The Pigs, others I can't remember off the top of my head.

I have a guy who gets me stuff here and there and should have some lovely things arriving in the post soon too.

Now I have to update my other post above! But have to do some real work first, sigh.
