^^ I wouldn't say selfish. Selfish would be not sharing the recording at all. Certainly, I'm no coding expert... but is it really that difficult to download the original files and transfer it to whatever format you prefer?

I understand his frustration, but like I said..I had to use 2 diff. converters/programs to convert it. I suppose anyone could have done that, but I was just thinking that it would have helped people who wanted the recording, to just download from Megaupload and be able to play it, not have to go through the hassle of being a registered member of Dime,(which btw, doesn't always allow new users) to get the torrent, then download it, then to encode and convert it.

I was thinking of making it more easier for everyone to enjoy it without going through the hassle of 4-5 steps. I didnt mean to offend anyone.

Demonoid has Irvine's show up, which includes SSSC's full set, as well as some of the NIN soundcheck as well. Check it out.

Here is the link for those who are interested. NOTE: I did not convert/split this...I simply downloaded it as is from demonoid.

Hmm- "as is" from what torrent exactly? Cuz if its from mine [www.dimeadozen.org] (which I believe it is) I wouldn't really call it "as is". You uploaded Mp3s and my torrent is FLAC.

No big deal or anything- just thought it would be good to let folks know where they can get the FLAC version- and maybe be a little more clear that your upload is a conversion to mp3.

You also mislabeled tracks 2-5. Hmm, looks like you also didn't add any ID3 tags.
I think I'll just create an MP3 version of this show and upload it to Megaupload. I'll post the link once its ready and I hope you can replace your link with mine.

ETA: Please use this link for the MP3 version: [www.megaupload.com]

Just wanted to state, I do not use Dime for recent nin/ja bootlegs, I am using a friend's private site that is more lenient on ratio requirements. With that said, I did not convert, mislabel, or purposely forget tags (?) as I downloaded and uploaded to megaupload without listening to it. I suppose if I had listened to it, I would have caught the track mislabeling. I did however, zip it though before uploading.

if your talking about halo-zero.org....same can be said. everything is uploaded as is from any other torrent site ( the only thing changed is the actual name of the folder itself to seperate it from other sources for the same show) i.e "NIN2009-05-22 sonyecm" and "NIN2009-05-22 DPA4061"

anyhoots...thanks for uploading these shows SS...i know alot of people dont have DIME or Demonoid accounts, and it can be a hassle to find them

Well this is all great!

i have all the recordings so far. but the question is: what would be the best method to clean up the audio?

although i know its amphitheatre recording and i do have to say the only issue is probably the fact the vocals are echoed. =/

other than that i love them!

but what settings/programs would be best to get them to lessen the echo or something?

words of advice... don't mess with the recordings. If that is how they are released don't try and "touch it up" yourself. Thats how the taper intended them to sound, and I have about 95% of the recordings from this tour and I cannot hear this echoing you are talking about. Most (if not all) of these recordings are very very good.

chances are i'll have 5.27 (KC), but I will have to find someone to convert it from DAT format. Will repost in this thread if I do end up taping.

Not a problem at all. That's not the site I use. A friend and a couple friends of my brother created this site and they seed everything etc. I can check to see, if it's ok to post a link to it on here.

Detroit is absolutely sick, I taped right in front of the board and put the mics on either side of my head to get the stereo separation. It really does help!!!!!
