Sorry, that second copy was for someone else, and by todays exchange rate I only paid about $5 or $6 for each copy.

Just wondering what the UK numbered OBI DII Vinyl with the Stencil is going for please?
..and the UK 9" numbered MOP / UK 7" numbered MOP / YZ UK Numbered Box (#0439) with the 2 9" Vinyl Singles.

Also got a very cool official 60"x40"(Huge!!!) NIN 'Closer' coiled millipede Subway/Street Poster for the release of the UK singles. Is DEFINITELY official as i was given three of them by TR personally backstsage at the London Forum in May '94.
I suppose it's a difficult item to value because it's difficult to know what it might go for on ebay as i've never seen one for sale. What do you think ?

Here are some of the prices I've seen these go for:

DII w/stencil $45

MOTP numbered vinyls $25 each.

no idea on the YZ box.

Closer subway poster $250

Thanks for the reply man!

I would have thought the DII vinyl would have gone for more than that. I sold my numbered slimline UK CD version around 5 years ago and it went for 3x that price.
I suppose it must just be a case of the CD being more desirable.

Year Zero Box. Just picked my copy up WITH both 9" records for 45$ (total) but I have seen JUST the box sell for 50 or 60 more than a few times

12/14/10 8:44 PM

I really can not stand the pricing on NIN stuff. I have picked up a few "A" and "B" raritys for 50 to 100 bucks. I got one of the GREEK DVDs for 30 bucks. SIN vinyl test print for 35 bucks. Then you see stuff like the Fragile Vinyl sell for 100 bucks. There a zillion copies out there. Stuff like those boxes year zero and with teeth boxes are SUPER rare. 2000 each. 2000 in the whole world!!! I just picked up a reverse color perfect drug CD. Supposedly only 2 have ever been reported. 40 bucks.

New to the forums, so hi. I have a shirt from one of their first shows and was wondering how much it's worth to collectors. It's got some definite wear and some blue paint splattered on the left side. Basically, it has been through a lot =). I haven't been able to find any info on it through searching around on the web and figured you guys might be able to help.
Here's the shirt (lemme know if you can't see the pics):

Hey,
Anyone have any info on the Perfect Drug with the spine/side of the digipak case being grayish white?? Can't find anything anywhere about it!

*I was thinking it might be sun-faded but it is completely readable--you would think that the sun would fade everything like words and colors, not just colors...

Thanks!

If it's the one I'm thinking of, then $15-20. Check where it was printed, that will answer the question for sure.

$38 is the price I found, (24£, UK) but that was with the sleeve.

Ehh, didn't get a chance to see where it was printed, but it sounds like it is not super rare or anything, so I'll just pick it up next time I go home. Thanks!

I've got CD2 of the UK release of Closer thats labelled on the disk normally as being the 4 tracks of CD2 'closer to god' with the correct artwork etc for CD2, but the actual music on the disk is 5 tracks of CD1 'Further Away'. That kind of thing doesn't happen by accident so i can only assume its deliberate.

I was actually going to throw this away about 3 or 4 years ago but instead put it up on ebay where some russian guy won the auction for around £120! Unfortunately he then went insane when i refused to ship it to some random address in Italy and started phoning me up and swearing at me in the middle of the night from Russia! I've still got it somewhere.

Anyone got any idea what this is worth? I'm told that there are a few nin misprints in circulation but i've never heard of this one.

crustypaul
there's nothing honorable in this story you depicted and absolutely no reason in your refusal to ship it anywhere in the world if people are willing to pay this much to own it.

01/16/11 7:11 AM

BenAkenobi,
erm....ok, apart from the fact that ebay specifically tell you NOT to ship to completely random addresses especially in entirely different countries to the one the buyer is registered in, it wouldn't have any kind of paypal cover if i'd shipped to a random address and the guy decided to do a chargeback, and the guy was a complete asshole. Is phoning up and shouting abuse down the phone to my girlfriend at 3am because i didn't want to send a potentially valuable CD into oblivion an honourable thing to do?

If you'd fancy throwing that much money AND the CD away for nothing then i guess that'd be up to you, but i don't think i'll bother. Anyway, i could have sworn that i asked an opinion on how much this CD was worth, not for a value judgement as to my actions.

01/16/11 8:37 AM

I see, but mailing with insurance should be a universal solution in such cases.
Besides, you already know an estimate of how much this kind of CD can fetch.
There were stories of We're in this together single with wrong tracks being valued $100-150 apiece.
Again, sorry for my reaction, i was reading too much into less important part of your initial message.

BenAkenobi posted:

Yeah, but even at the time i thought that £120 was an insane amount of money to spend on a mis-pressed CD, which is kind of why i was suspicious of the whole deal in the first place.

It still seems like an awful lot of money, especially as i was going to throw it away as what i really wanted was CD2, and not another copy of the music on CD1! winking smiley

I might just stick it up on ebay again, i'm sure it can find its own price and i'd be happy with whatever it went for.

01/16/11 3:12 PM

what's a year zero US cd without "year zero" on the cd itself worth? the non collector says it's B rarity. i'm not sure what that equals though in real value.

Hey guys, I recently bought the limited edition (still sealed) of "and all that could have been" from an ebay seller whom seems to have an in exhaustable amount of these. I haven't touched the seal on my copy (looks legit etc). What I want to know is, am I being paranoid in not wanting to open it for reasons that it could be worth something?

04/06/11 10:45 AM

Just bought a copy of 'Hellbound- Woodstock 1994' from the traveling used CD salesman on campus. Salesguy said it was unreleased and Google isn't really turning up much. It's a burned CD, so I'm not sure if it's a copy/fake or if that particular recording was just that low-key.

there's a few woodstock bootlegs out there. Ive got two, one is called When The Whip Comes Down, and the other is just called Nine Inch Nails.
there's another Ive seen called Reznor Sharp. theyre all produced internationally. dont really know how to determine the scarcity of them or value. I got mine for $15 and $5 respectively.

good concert though, the two I have dont really have any difference in the quality.

04/06/11 3:54 PM

I have "Reznor Sharp". I got mine between $10 and $12 brand new back in '96. (I also picked up "Killer Instinct", "Demos and Remixes", "Manson's Revenge" (NIN Live @ Boston Garden Dec. 1994, while touring with Marilyn Manson)
I'm not really sure what they're worth now, but "Killer Instinct" has been on E-Bay for $24.00 and $99.00. Honestly, of the bootlegs I own, "Killer Instinct" has the WORST sound quality and it changes half-way through (2 different concerts), but it doesn't get any better. No bass, ALL treble.

"Reznor Sharp" is my favorite. I've seen it for $45 on E-Bay (right now, 4-6-2011)

I've never seen another "Manson's Revenge".

Hope this helps.

04/09/11 4:13 PM

What's the items value...

...on the 10" Vinyl "We're In This Together" German Promo? Someone on E-bay has one for $650.00. For that price I would want Trent's autograph on it, if not the entire band's autograph. Is this what it's really worth without an autograph?

Here's the link:
[cgi.ebay.com]

I would think $250-$300 if it is as rare as he says without an autograph. Of course if it is a one-of-one, then okay, $650 it is.

Just wasn't sure what to make of this item and it's value. I stick to the 12" vinyls, so this was just a curiosity item.

Thanks BenAkenobi. I was wondering how many were made. If the eBay seller gets rid of the BIN price. There will be a massive bidding war. I won't be a part of it. It would probably go for $400.
