So how did you arrive at that conclusion? The 12" vinyl Starfuckers Inc" single has an 8 rating in rarity, the one I bought was mint. I've seen them sell for upwards of $50 on E-Bay. $24, to me, sounds a lot more reasonable, since it IS only 2 songs, a pretty rare album and I already own them on the DJ Promo. Truthfully, I didn't want to pay too much for it, and I don't think I did, or at least as much as I could have.
As for the P.J. Harvey/ The Downward Spiral misprint, it has a 9 rating in rarity. Most misprint albums bring a good amount of money to collectors. The $70 I paid doesn't sound too bad, considering it normally sells for $40 (the non-misprint and DJ promo), sure I paid a little extra, but a "9" and a misprint? It doesn't sound too bad.
Ben, if you know how to access the information needed to determine the items value, I'd love to hear it! I have a ton of DJ promos, and sealed/ never opened/ original price tagged items. There's a test pressing in there, a few cassettes and of course the T-shirts. I know what I paid for all of these items, and compared to what I've seen a few people buy them for, I'd say I've done well on my purchases, I'd just like to see how well. I know a few albums have sold for DOUBLE what I paid. (The Perfect Drug promo and The Fragile American and European versions.) Some have remained consistent (12" Wish single and the UK Closer To God DJ Promo). Then there's the sealed albums with original price tags (12" Sin $5, Closer To God Part 1 $9.99), selling for obviously more than they're marked for.
As of right now, I can only go by the assumption that what my items are worth, are the average prices found on E-Bay. Can you help me out?
Thanks in advance!
