hey there how much are the follwing itmes worth
TDS Deluxe Edition
Nine inch nails 9" (all of them)
the boxes for the vinyls (WT & YZ)
WT dualdisc
march of the pigs/closer to god sets

might anyone also be selling these items to me for cheap?

04/12/11 6:08 AM

oh and i forgot
THTF 10"

I see "The Downward Spiral" Deluxe Edition selling quite often for $27. Average price.
I bought my "With Teeth" Dual Disc for $18. I've seen some for $21. I'd say it's about average.
I see the vinyl boxes sell between $50 and $75, WHEN they're up for sale, which isn't too often.
"March of the Pigs" red (disc 1)can be found between $18 and $25. "March of the Pigs" Blue (Disc 2 of 2)is usually between $30 and $50 depending on the seller. I have the Red double disc (includes disc 2), that I got for about $30.
Closer To God (Part 1; "Further Away" ) I got for $18, and "Closer to God" (Part 2) I got for $5. If you have BOTh CD's together, you can get about $40-$50 for them.

Of course, once I bought all the CD's and pieced them together, I was able to score the "Fisted" box set, which comes with both "March of the Pigs" and "Closer to God" discs and the Made in France "Fixed" CD. So essentially, I went through a lot of trouble to get 2 sets of CD's and got another 2 in a box set all together. Had I have known...

As for the other items you mentioned, I'm not sure. I buy 12" vinyl as it's easier to frame and hang on the wall. I already have an extensive 12" vinyl collection, so my NIN fits right in, when you have 10" vinyl or 78-speed discs, they tend to be more awkward to carry around (and 78's are heavier, mostly because they're older). I know some of the 10" vinyl is worth a lot, like German promos, but other than that, not sure.

if you watch Best BUY, every few months they have TPD deluxe edition on sale for $14.99
I bought my WT Dualdisc new for $3.99 off Amazon
the MOTP and Closer UK versions can be found for much cheaper, unless you get them in the Fisted set.

VInyl on the other hand, expensive for the most part.

Dutch pressing of TDS on vinyl?

06/05/11 1:41 PM

signed copy of Still by Trent Reznor

signed NINJA ticket (05.30.09) by TR, Ilan Rubin & JMJ

@BALLS----->From what I've seen on www.nincollector.com, there isn't a Dutch version on vinyl. If you have a copy, and it's on colored vinyl, it's a bootleg and not worth as much as an original.

Ritz_Chef:
There IS an official Dutch version of TDS on vinyl. Witte owns (or owned) one - I remember it created quite a stir when he presented it at ETS.

06/18/11 5:58 PM

I was looking on www.nincollector.com...I didn't see anything there. I also didn't see it on nincatalog.com.

nincollector.com has a nice set-up, it's just a shame he never finished the website.
nincollector.com is a nice site.

I would LOVE to see a site that has actual "REASONABLE" monetary value added to each individual item. (Like my vinyl collection for example. I know what I paid for it, but it would be nice to know I over or underpaid for certain things. "Starfuckers Inc." 12" single I just bought, was $24. I like to think I underpaid. However, what's my P.J. Harvey misprint 12" vinyl "The Downward Spiral" worth? I paid $70. I'd like to think I slightly underpaid on that one as well.)

06/20/11 3:20 AM

Ritz_Chef1, you overpaid very very much for both of your examples: i'm happy without them smiling smiley

06/20/11 6:34 AM

So how did you arrive at that conclusion? The 12" vinyl Starfuckers Inc" single has an 8 rating in rarity, the one I bought was mint. I've seen them sell for upwards of $50 on E-Bay. $24, to me, sounds a lot more reasonable, since it IS only 2 songs, a pretty rare album and I already own them on the DJ Promo. Truthfully, I didn't want to pay too much for it, and I don't think I did, or at least as much as I could have.

As for the P.J. Harvey/ The Downward Spiral misprint, it has a 9 rating in rarity. Most misprint albums bring a good amount of money to collectors. The $70 I paid doesn't sound too bad, considering it normally sells for $40 (the non-misprint and DJ promo), sure I paid a little extra, but a "9" and a misprint? It doesn't sound too bad.

Ben, if you know how to access the information needed to determine the items value, I'd love to hear it! I have a ton of DJ promos, and sealed/ never opened/ original price tagged items. There's a test pressing in there, a few cassettes and of course the T-shirts. I know what I paid for all of these items, and compared to what I've seen a few people buy them for, I'd say I've done well on my purchases, I'd just like to see how well. I know a few albums have sold for DOUBLE what I paid. (The Perfect Drug promo and The Fragile American and European versions.) Some have remained consistent (12" Wish single and the UK Closer To God DJ Promo). Then there's the sealed albums with original price tags (12" Sin $5, Closer To God Part 1 $9.99), selling for obviously more than they're marked for.

As of right now, I can only go by the assumption that what my items are worth, are the average prices found on E-Bay. Can you help me out?

Thanks in advance!

i'm sorry Chef, i know some brief effort to categorize prices was made here - [forum.nin.com]
my personal view on vinyl records is just that they really shouldn't cost as much as they do

06/20/11 1:09 PM

I agree! There was a time when I would go with my father every weekend and by a 1 LP and 1 45 single. They were nowhere near the prices that they are now. My father had his music collection and although small, I had mine. Now my NIN collection is my significant vinyl collection and I'm pretty happy with what I have. I would only do this for certain bands...Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, and Tool are pretty much it. Since I have one Rage album, 2 'Chains albums and zero Tool, I have a long way to go to reach my goal.

I'll check out that link. Thanks a lot for the info!

the problem with some of those is that the market is like 30 people...total...in the whole world. as badass as they are, not many people care to own a promo vinyl of something like Perfect Drug, and the ones that would want it, already have their own. definitely not a seller's market now...I cant give away stuff on eBay. wish those guys would drop the price of the FTDS movie reel, its a sweet package, but $130.00 is way too much to pay for anything FTDS related regardless of the economy. on the other hand, I just got a US 1st pressing of Manson Antichrist Superstar sealed for $4.85. that would command like $15 - $20 right? especially w TR's handiwork all over it?

06/20/11 10:42 PM

FDTS always seemed to come across as being the least popular album, nothing ever seems to be of value that carries it's name. Sad.

Manson's Antichrist Superstar is a pretty common CD. I got a first pressing to replace a first pressing and it was pretty cheap too. I'm looking to get it on vinyl, but $100 for anything Manson just doesn't seem worth it. Too bad...the guy's a tool, but his music is fierce!

I thought I might just re-post it so the question does not get lost

I paid $80 for my "Wish" 12" single. So somewhere between $13 and $80.

well, the vinyls themselves are cheap (5-8 bucks each, new). For the box you could get about 50 bucks if the timing is right.

Any changes to this valuation for the Year Zero box with both 9"?

Just put mine up on trading thread and wanted to check here before I agree to any sale. Thanks.

I just picked up the FDTS tin with all the goodies for $70. Still a lot for what it is, but much cheaper than $130.

I found a black tape with black liner. How much is it worth? NIN logo on top. it reads:
"NIN
Nine Inch Nails
Compliments of DETAILS
and TVT Records
For Promotional use only
from the forthcoming album.class.cd
pretty hate machine"

08/21/11 5:36 AM

is it this one? PHM sampler

08/21/11 6:30 PM

No but it looks very similar. The tape looks identical but the words on the label are different. just says pretty hate machine on it and not those other 4 songs.

I've seen it go for a wide range of prices on eBay over the past month (always just one bid or two at the very end to boot), so I am going to ask.

Ghosts Ultra-Deluxe (vinyls and everything), barely touched - typical situation of gone through once or twice and been living in the white shipping box to be stored forever.

Number 0148/2500

What would you all say is fair market value at this point in time?

Thank you!

08/29/11 3:09 PM

I got mine for $420.00 w shipping (it was shipped from France to Ohio) over a year ago. if you pay more than that. its too much. Ive seen them lower than that quite often in the past 2-3 months

08/30/11 5:54 AM

I paid $700 for mine shipped to Australia.... there wasn't many people willing to ship this item international at the time and I wanted it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
