Hi all,

I'm a newby to the forum (kinda) and I've finally decided to part with some of my NIN memorabilia.

I'd really like to know what these are worth? If anything? I know the box is hard to come by but there's isn't any more on ebay that I can see.

Here's an ebay listing for a WITH TEETH Limited Edition Vinyl Box

Here's an ebay listing for a WITH TEETH Ladies T-Shirt in size Large

Really curious about the value of Closure VHS tapes with different labels. I was the first to point it out on ETS and email nincatalog with scans in April 2010. It was added to nincatalog a year later with a rarity of C. I'm surprised it would be a C (as apoosed to more rare) since no one else had recognized it prior. Was it due to my observations that it became less rare and more have come out of the woodwork?

With Teeth Vinyl Box With Two Vinyl Singles

Year Zero Vinyl Box with Capital G Single

I found these on the UK Ebay and am wondering if anyone can help me on a price. No idea what I should be bidding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Or if anyone has these and are looking to part with them I would be very interested and rather buy from forums.

Thanks!

So I have a signed piece of NIN memorabilia which I want to sell, and I have no idea of value so hoping you guys can help me get a ballpark figure. This is the signed head of a guitar on which the band have written "Killed by NIN" one one side, with signatures, and on the back "Actually smashed by NIN on Lalapalooza [sic] Summer 1991". It was sent to me as a gift after I met the mother of one of the band members and she was so excited to hear that I actually knew who they were (and was a fan as well) that she obviously bullied him into sending me a bunch of memorabilia. Have treasured this for years but I need the money more these days.

What is the worth of a sealed copy of the Japanese version of With Teeth?

So I found this today in a record store

I paid $15 for it. How much does it usually go for?

I got my closer w blue spine on eBay for $3.25 last year, I probably got lucky at that price, but when they come up, they dont seem to go for very much at all

Just curious to know what the 3' x 4' "WITH_TEETH" Lyrics poster SHOULD sell for.

I know what I paid for mine in mint condition, and I see what an E-Bayer Seller is trying to get for his.
E-Bay Auction

He started out at $400, brought it down to $350, then $200, $150, $100 and finally $80.
He just re-posted it for $179.

I think it's too new to be worth anything extravagant. Although, out-of-print, I would think it's worth at least $50. Not to mention, I have found a file of it online allowing ANYONE to reprint it themselves, which should also significantly bring down it's value.

Is there any kind of actual net worth of this item?

This reminds me of the "Absolut Nothing" poster that everyone pays an arm and a leg for because they think it's hard-to-find, yet is readily available for $20 on one site that I know of.

I thought that these were all just prints of the pdf that was free on the website. I figure its worth what Officemax charges to print. if there was an official run of these, than I suppose they'd be worth something, but as often as they appear on eBay, I wouldnt drop more than $50.00, they seem readily accessible.

I thought I saw a guy here in the forums somewhere that had printed off like 150 on heavy stock and was selling them

05/23/12 7:56 PM

I found the website for the guy that originally printed off the 500 prints, since I last posted. He claims a cost of approx. $50-$100 to print a copy depending on where you go to do so. So the print on E-Bay isn't worth anywhere near what he claims...interesting. My copy was just under $40.

Thanks pdhot65ton!

05/23/12 9:35 PM

they're def cool if you have the space for them and they were printed on a quality material

05/23/12 10:44 PM

Yeah, I agree with that! I went to a hotel liquidator near my house and he had the frame that you see pictured above. Looks awesome hanging in my hallway. The frame was only $5 more than I paid for the picture.

05/24/12 10:37 AM

frankly speaking, for this kind of poster any price higher than $5 is ridiculous

05/24/12 11:23 AM

Well, you gotta figure...someone took the time to go to a print shop and had it transferred from file to paper and large paper at that. The cost of materials, ink and labor (I know, one guy who works there pushing a button to make it GO and STOP...but you know what I mean). That's why I figure the price I paid wasn't bad at all. I personally, didn't have to do anything. Someone else did all the work for me. I just had to order it and it came to my house. I did more work buying the frame and transporting it home.

Now THIS guy...is a whole other animal. He THINKS he has something rare and special. But he obviously hasn't seen the PDF file online, nor does he realize it can be printed in large format at any print shop. I'm sure if he brings it down to the $50 or less level, SOMEONE will buy it. But who in their right mind would pay $179-$400 for a poster to hang in their bedroom anyway? A billboard, okay, but not a household poster.

05/24/12 1:21 PM

Yes there is PDF of these on nin.com. These posters were givin out with Spiral memberships back before they gave out the 12" album flats. That is where I got mine. Anyone who reprints these and sells them for profit is just a large glass of douchebaggery.

[nincatalog.com]

If you are a real poster collector, a reprint from a print shop or one made from home is not good enough.

The actual cost of these posters? Well it was $25 for the membership so I would say it is not worth anymore than that.

The actual cost of an ink shop reprint? Well how much does paper cost? I would say about $2.

When this became available as a PDF I had 3 of them made at a Kinkos in L.A., 1 for me and 2 for friends. I paid $50.00/print 36" x 48". They were printed on high quality paper. I don't know what it would cost to print now but that was the cost back then.

I'll put a bump on this as I have a signed PHM too.

I'd say $200-250 for a signed vinyl. I could see a signed Fragile LP fetching more, not only for being 3 LP's but also being highly sought after.

Hi
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but can anyone tell me if the Only cd single (3 track) is actually rare to some extent? Each time I look for it it is listed at really high prices such as on amazon. Same goes for the 4 track version with video content.
I also saw a 3 track one go for something like 66 GBP on ebay - all that was different on this one was a small circular Promo sticker on the barcode (but seemed to be missing the long info label as shown here [www.nincatalog.com]

Hope someone can help!
cheers

Like the WITT/Halo 15 singles, everyone has got into the habit of selling them for that much. While Only/Halo 20 isn't rare per say, it is not as common as the other singles. I don't understand the pricing at times. It seems that years ago dumb amazon sellers started listing them for $50, a lot of people assumed that's what they are worth, then it sort of stuck.

09/09/12 11:25 AM

this is because the single was made in Europe and as such is rare in USA where the majority of nin fans are

09/09/12 11:57 AM

thanks for the replies people - some interesting information there. So, I guess these have sold for quite a lot in the past?! I thought it was just singles like WITT which went for lots.

if I wanted to buy one now what would be a reasonable price?

cheers again for the replies

Any idea what this messenger bag is worth? I bought it in Chula Vista, and Trent signed it at the Charlotte NIN/JA show.

That's sort of true, since these halos never had a US release. However, the UK editions of Head Like A Hole & Further Down The Spiral contain tracks that were never released in the US, and they never get that expensive. They also have some of the best NIN remixes, IMO. New collectors should be more concerned with obtaining these than Only or Parts 1 and 3 of WITT.

No problem! Honestly I think $20 is a reasonable prince for any of these singles. $50 is way too much, IMO. The reason they get that expensive is because of copy cat sellers.

Yeah I agree. I waited for the longest time before adding WITT part 2 to my collection because I was not willing to pay a fortune for it. The trick is to be patient, like a fisherman! Eventually an unexpensive copy surface and then you make your move!

Any of the WITT singles, used, unwrapped.

EDIT: Nevermind, just found this out!
